The inconsistencies of Eastern Orthodox fasting

The Eastern Orthodox Church is celebrating Holy Week this week. Part of this celebration includes fasting. This site includes the whole list on the followers of the Eastern Orthodox Church can and cannot have.

A short precis:

Meat, dairy (including eggs), alcohol, and olive oil is strictly prohibited. However, shellfish, fruit, and vegetables are allowed.

So wait, you can't have chopped liver for a week but can have all the lobster you want? What religion is that?
