Massachusetts Republicans.

I would suggest visiting www.redmassgroup.com , a Conservative Republican website based within the state of Massachusetts, which covers the news from Massachusetts as well as promotes Republican candidates running in the hostile environment that is Massachusetts, it is also the authority on coverage of the special United States Senate election which will take place in the that state in just a few short months.

Scott Brown for United States Senator!

A common sense candidate from an abnormal state.

Hoffman vs. Owens, 3 days to election day.

With the announcement that Republican candidate, "Dede" Scozzafava, has suspended her campaign, leaving the special election in New York's 23rd congressional district between Conservative Republican Doug Hoffman and the Democrat Bill Owens, who has been endorsed by the ACORN associated Working Families Party, which has recently been tied to voter fraud in the City of Troy.

The voters of the 23rd congressional district will have to chose between Conservative Republican Doug Hoffman and Liberal Democrat Bill Owens, while it is clear the two candidates have difference in ideology, on a issue by issue basis how do the candidates differ? Who is more in line with the voters of the 23rd congressional district, who will claim victory?

Issues

Abortion - Doug Hoffman is opposed to abortion, Bill Owens is in favor of abortion.

Health care - Doug Hoffman is opposed to government run health care, Bill Owens has claimed to be against the "government run option", however, his plans on health care are close to 90% the same as congressional Democrats already in Congress, and a press release from September states that his campaign supports the Obama efforts on health care.

Cap & trade legislation - Doug Hoffman is opposed to this legislation, while Owens "issues" section touts his support for green job creation, with absolutely no mention of an "all of the above" approach to energy, or whether or not he supports the "cap & tax" legislation in question.

Estate tax - Doug Hoffman is opposed to the estate tax, Bill Owens supports the estate tax for those which are wealthy.

Bailouts - Doug Hoffman opposes the bailouts, Bill Owens supports the bailouts. It is that simple, Hoffman believes in Capitalism, Bill Owens wants to bail out those are who in their horrific situation because of government intervention in the first place.

ACORN - Doug Hoffman opposes ACORN in all of its aspects, Bill Owens has accepted with glee the endorsement of the ACORN associated Working Families Party.

Homosexual marriage - While Doug Hoffman opposes gay marriage in all of its aspects, Bill Owens supports the principles behind issue but not the official definition.

More in line with the voters

Doug Hoffman is a Conservative who appeals to all voters in the 23rd congressional district, Bill Owens is a Nancy Pelosi Democrat who appeals to leftists, abortionists, and those that support Obama's agenda of taxing us to death, stealing our hard earned monies, weakening our National security, and the continued layers of federal debt on this Nation.

Doug Hoffman was surging in the polls when Scozzafava was in the race, because he was the Conservative in the race, he is the Conservative in the race, and in a Conservative Republican district, that appeals to the voters first and foremost. Bill Owens has been endorsed by the man who supports increased debt, government interference in our lives, and the destruction of health care in America.

Who will claim victory?

Even with Scozzafava in the race, poll after poll confirmed Hoffman was reeling in more Republicans from the Scozzafava campaign, with Scozzafava out of the election, I would expect most of her supporters to either support Hoffman's campaign or to stay home on election day, they understand just as well as those supporting Hoffman what a Owen's victory means.

Overall, we will win this election. Hoffman is the real Conservative Republican in this race, he represents the values of those in the 23rd congressional district, the Republican party, and the United States of America.

Jumping in Pools Endorses Doug Hoffman

Jumping in Pools would like to make a collective endorsement in the NY-23 Congressional race. We would like to encourage all of our readers within the district to vote for Lake Placid resident and veteran Doug Hoffman. Read our interview with Mr. Hoffman here.

Now that Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava has suspended her campaign, the choice is between Hoffman and Democrat Bill Owens.

Mr. Owens is a fine candidate-- a veteran and a former businessman. However, Mr. Hoffman is the better one. Hoffman will work to reduce waste and bring accountability to Congress. He is a worthy successor to Congressman McHugh, who is now Secretary of the Army. He is not endorsed by corrupt groups like ACORN and stands for a surge in troops to win the war in Afghanistan.

Some of Hoffman's positions are not perfect. For example, he should recognize both reality and practicality and endorse gay marriage. Even Ms. Scozzafava had the good sense to do so.

As editor, I would like to give a special thanks to Mr. K for writing about this race before it became a national sensation. He gained contacts in the Hoffman campaign and even scored an excellent interview with the candidate. You could say that Mr. K is the first blogger on the national scale to pick up this race.

Scozzafava Drops Out

We have some breaking news.

NY Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, running in the race for the NY-23 Congressional district, has dropped out of the race. She was competing against Democrat Bill Owens and Conservative Doug Hoffman. Scozzafava was shown in a recent poll to have just 20% of the electorate and showed Hoffman and Owens neck-and-neck.

It has been speculated that Scozzafava will endorse her former opponent Hoffman, although there is no confirmation on this. Check out our interview with Doug Hoffman, posted last week.

In her statement, she said:

"Today, I again seek to act for the good of our community," Ms. Scozzafava wrote in a letter to friends and supporters. "It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican. It is my hope that with my actions today, my party will emerge stronger and our district and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations."

Bloggers bloc.

It is true faithful readers, I Mr.K, am suffering from bloggers bloc. I have no major exclusives, interviews with candidates for Congress, or even insightful opinions which I will send to R.S. McCain's co-blogger every ten seconds. I am not someone who can take the news which everyone else is writing about, link a few fellow Conservative sites, and receive linkings in return because I linked them. I know it breaks the rule of how to get a million hits on your blog, however, I want to earn linkings damn it!

Not to mention, I am not as motivated as....R.S. McCain, he has a wife and 6 kids to feed, I have a dog who sleeps all day on the couch. What am I to do?

So, until I get the groove back, I would suggest watching reruns of the hit television drama "Psych", browsing Doug Hoffman's campaign website - www.doughoffmanforcongress.com , visit R.S. McCain's joint, www.rsmccain.blogspot.com , and emailing R.S. McCain asking him to link Jumping in Pools all the time..... r.s.mccain@att.net

Also, I would suggest leaving a comment in this post...something that will boost my morale, not to make me too happy or impressed with spiffy comments, however, something that is motivating at the very least.

Young Frankenstein

That's Fronk-en-stien! An annual tradition of mine is to watch good ol' Mel Brooks's Young Frankenstein, my favorite comedy. How can you beat it? Gene Wilder is the title character, Mel Brooks and him wrote the script, and you have Marty Feldman and Peter Boyle.

Here are some awesome pictures to make you remember how awesome this flick really is:

Giuliani campaigns on behalf of Bob McDonnell.

While we have seen a bundle of potential 2012 Presidential candidates either endorse or campaign on Bob McDonnell's behalf in Virginia, I believe Giuliani campaigning for McDonnell is either to raise his political profile amongst a fellow Republican Gubernatorial candidate who is all but secured a victory at this point, or Giuliani is attempting to expand a fundraising base for a possible run at the United States Senate.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/local/66981717.html

A Republican victory in Virginia next week would send a national message that "enough is enough" on the expanding federal government, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said Wednesday.

In a short speech at Springfield's Greenspring Retirement Community, Giuliani -- acting as a surrogate for Republican gubernatorial nominee Bob McDonnell -- equated a vote for McDonnell to a call to rein in federal spending and power.

While Giuliani has the choice of two potential careers to chose from during the 2010 electoral cycle, he has to make connections with fellow Republicans running for political office now. Giuliani would be wise to run for the Senate, as Gillibrand is vulnerable, Giuliani is popular in New York, and we could use another anti-Obama vote in the United States Senate, and he is the only candidate who could deliver that vote from New York state.

We are not witnessing a fellow Republican helping Bob McDonnell's campaign, we are witnessing the beginning of a Giuliani run for United States Senate in 2010.

Joe's Babe of the Week

Hello, all, Dr. Joe reporting. Don't touch me, I'm sterile! Anyway, I was relaxing on a gondola the other day, my man-servant Jacques pushing the boat, as I sipped on the sweat of an Olympic athlete mixed with the blood of a cougar. Of course, on my mind was those all-important babes! I was wracking my brain, trying to think of a woman who thinks she's pretty, but says she's ugly, even though she actually is ugly. Then it came to me.

This Week's Babe:
America Ferrera
Known far and wide for her television role as Ugly Betty, the show recently had her "transform" into a non-ugly person. How they missed the mark! No matter, Dr. Joe will still give you any prescription you want (including 2 Joes daily, to be taken ora... no I mean as a supposit...err, never mind).

With her trademark braces, flat hair, and ugly face, America Ferrera should never have shown her real face in public. You know, so people could fantasize that she really wasn't ugly, that it was all part of a show. A show I tell you!So take it from me gents, this babe is mine, ugly or not.

Joe's America Score: 9.0/10 Crappy TV Shows

Also, if you need to search anything on Google, please use the bar below:

Congressman McHugh & George Pataki.

With the endorsement of the last statewide elected Republican going to Doug Hoffman, the Conservative candidate for Congress in New York's 23rd special congressional election, all eyes are turning to Congressman John McHugh, the Republican who started this whole mess by accepting a position to become the next Secretary of the United States Army.

While the former Congressman, John McHugh is not the most Conservative Republican with only a 71% rating from the American Conservative Union, he was a damn fine Congressman for a good number of years. McHugh is pro-national defense, voted against the stimulus package, supported the "cap & tax" legislation, opposes the current Democrat health care plans in Congress, is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-second amendment, though he did support both versions of the "government bailout" last fall.

On the issues of national defense, the stimulus package, pro-life issues, the second amendment, traditional marriage, and opposition to the current Obamacare plans, he is more aligned with Doug Hoffman's campaign.

On the issues of "cap & tax" legislation, government bailouts, and aligning yourself with Moderate fractions of the Republican party, McHugh is more aligned with "Dede" Scozzafava.

Secretary McHugh, though a moderate overall, has more in common with Doug Hoffman's campaign then he does with the supposed Republican who was selected to replace him in Congress, especially on social issues, where McHugh is as Conservative as they come. Yet, with just four days to election day, McHugh has not made an endorsement in this race, an endorsement that could carry the recipient to victory.

George Pataki has come out on Hoffman's side, now it is up to the former Congressman, John McHugh to take a stand. Either stand with the candidate you agree with more, or with the candidate who you oppose more then you agree with.

John McHugh, from your record, social issues are very important to you, and only one candidate shares your beliefs in life and traditional marriage. That would be Doug Hoffman.

Giuliani should run for U.S. Senate.

Earlier this week, it was announced that New York's Attorney General, Andrew Cuomo, will run for the Democratic nomination for Governor next year, challenging fellow Democrat and current incumbent David Paterson. This could have a major role in whether or not former New York City Mayor and longtime Republican Rudy Giuliani will run for Governor as well, as most polls show Cuomo would win without much of a struggle.

While the discussion has been focused on Giuliani possibly running for Governor, that is shifting to Giuliani running for the United States Senate, against Kirsten Gillibrand, who has never faced the New York voting public as a whole, and has flipflopped on everything she has supposedly believed in over the past nine months in the Senate.

According to a poll released by the Siena Research Institute last week, if Giuliani we're to face off against Senator Gillibrand, he would have a near 20 point lead over the freshmen Democrat, While Giuliani has 85% of Republicans behind his possible campaign for Senate, Gillbrand could only muster 56% of her base behind her.

Giuliani - 53% of the vote, Gillbrand - 36% of the vote, 10% - unsure/unknown.

http://www.siena.edu/uploadedfiles/home/Parents_and_Community/Community_Page/SRI/SNY_Poll/SNY1009%20Crosstabs.pdf

With New York state in utter shambles, it appears Cuomo would be able to retain the seat in Democrat hands, which is not exactly good news for residents of the state. However, it appears Giuliani could run and win if he challenged Gillibrand for the Senate seat next election.

While I do not agree with Giuliani on everything, I 100% support his possible campaign for Senator. Giuliani is excellent on economic policy, is good on the second amendment, is as pro-national security Republican you are going to find, and while his views on social issues are mixed, however, his impressive tenure as Mayor of New York City is well needed on a National scale.

Rudy Giuliani has the momentum to run for the United States Senate, Giuliani has the base support if he we're to run, and he could finally restore a Senator back into the United States Senate who happens to be a Republican and has some sanity, not to mention, help America with another non-Obama vote in the United States Senate.

I say Rudy Giuliani 2010! What say you?

World Series Game Two

As a huge baseball fan, I wait with a baited breath as every pitch is thrown during the World Series. As a Mets fan, this World Series makes me short of breath. Either way, here's a summary of game two, which the Yankees won:

From the CP (Canadian Press):

Jerry Hairston Jr. and a couple more of the New York Yankees' role players filled in the blanks when two of their biggest stars struggled in Game 2 of the World Series on Thursday night.

Hairston started a seventh-inning rally with a leadoff single and Jose Molina had a solid night behind the plate to help New York to a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.

"It does feel good. Sometimes, you've got to scrap," said Hairston, who replaced struggling Nick Swisher in right field. "I haven't started too many games the last two months or so."

With Molina subbing for Jorge Posada, A.J. Burnett threw seven sparkling innings. Molina, who has caught each of Burnett's post-season starts, also picked off Jayson Werth with a snap throw to first in the fourth.

"I thought that was real, real important," manager Joe Girardi said of Molina's play on Werth.

The effort by New York's bench players was especially crucial with Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez both striking out three times.

Brett Gardner also made a key play when he came in to run for Hairston after his hit in the seventh. Gardner went from first to third on Melky Cabrera's single to right and scored on pinch hitter Posada's liner up the middle.

STAR POWER: Jay-Z and Alicia Keys fired up the Yankee Stadium crowd before Game 2, performing a clean version of "Empire State of Mind" from the rapper's hit album.

The two New Yorkers were originally scheduled to perform Wednesday night but were pushed back because of rainy weather. There was some concern about some of the song's raw language but Jay-Z kept it PG for the nationally televised performance.

The rap king - wearing a Yankees hat and jacket - and Keys got a loud ovation when they walked through an opening in the outfield wall in left-centre to the stage behind second base. Keys, in a black and hot purple outfit, played keyboard before joining Jay-Z in the centre of the stage for the end of the song.

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who uses a snippet of "Empire State of Mind" for his at-bat music, bobbed his head during the performance. New York reliever Joba Chamberlain also was grooving to the song while the Philadelphia Phillies watched attentively from the top step of the visiting dugout.

A buzz went through the crowd when Jay-Z rapped one of the signature lines of the hit: "I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can."

There was more applause after the performance as Jay-Z and Keys walked arm in arm through the outfield to the gate. Phillies pitcher Pedro Martinez was preparing for his Game 2 start nearby but he kept long tossing as the music stars disappeared from sight.

NOT AGAIN: There was another blown call by the post-season umpires in the seventh inning of New York's 3-1 victory over the Phillies on Thursday night.

With one out and runners on first and second, Johnny Damon hit a smash to Philadelphia first baseman Ryan Howard. Umpire Brian Gorman, standing behind the 6-foot-4 Howard, immediately threw his arm up to indicate the ball was caught in the air, but TV replays indicated it bounced into Howard's glove.

Howard took a few steps toward first before throwing to shortstop Jimmy Rollins, who tagged Jorge Posada to complete the inning-ending double play. Posada stood on second for a few moments before bounding off the base to protest the call, and manager Joe Girardi came out of the dugout to argue.

The umpires gathered in the infield after the players returned to their dugouts, but the ruling stood.

A series of umpiring mistakes during the playoffs has led to calls for expanded use of instant replay, but commissioner Bud Selig said before the game he still thinks it's not necessary. Selig did promise more discussion of the topic.

TOP SPOT: Ruben Amaro Jr. was one of Pat Gillick's top lieutenants when the Phillies won the World Series last season.

This time, he's in charge.

Amaro took over as general manager when Gillick retired following last season, ascending to the top spot after 10 years as an assistant in Philadelphia. The club hasn't skipped a beat under his leadership, winning the NL East and the pennant for the second consecutive year.

"What is really pretty cool about this being here right now is the fact that it's the big stage, it's New York," Amaro said before Philadelphia's 3-1 loss in Game 2. "It's the history and we're playing clearly one of the best teams in baseball, in our minds the best team in the American League.

"To be able to match up with this storied franchise and to be in this situation is pretty gratifying. It's pretty neat."

Amaro made a couple of shrewd moves during the season to help the Phillies get to this point. He acquired left-hander Cliff Lee and outfielder Ben Francisco from the Cleveland Indians for four prospects and signed free-agent righty Pedro Martinez.

Lee struck out 10 in a dominant performance in Philadelphia's 6-1 victory in the Series opener. Martinez went 5-1 with a 3.63 ERA in nine starts in the regular season and pitched into the seventh inning in a sharp outing in Game 2.

Amaro, 44, joined the Phillies immediately after his playing career ended in 1998. He worked under former GM Ed Wade for seven seasons and the last three with Gillick.

"I've had a chance to learn from some very, very good GMs in my mind," Amaro said. "They each had some pretty interesting qualities to kind of feed off of."

Top Halloween Costumes

Dr. Jose Chicoinio M.D. is here to tell you lads what the hottest Halloween costumes are in a top five countdown. We've heard all about people going as President Obama and, what are you kids doing now adays... uh, Walter Cronkite, but here are some even better get-ups.

5. In a hitch, if you don't have any clothes, you can always mutilate yourself for free.
4. An easy way to make blood if you go as a vampire is to put Hawaiian Punch on your mouth. Either that or use real blood.
3. Dress up as if you are invisible. When asked what you are, respond that you are dressed as the jobs the President has created.
2. Go around eating brains. If people ask if you are going around dress up as a zombie, answer honestly: no.
1. If you want your Frankenstein costume to be realistic, it never hurts to graft several limbs to your body in replace of your originals.

Note: Duh, these are fake. If you do them, it's your fault. Happy Halloween.

Sanford Wallace

Sanford Wallace is a guy who spammed Facebook and its users for personal info. Looks like the joke's on him:

From Business Journal:

Facebook Inc. said Thursday that it won a $711 million damage award Internet marketer Sanford Wallace for spamming its popular social networking site.

Palo Alto-based Facebook alleged that Wallace accessed its users' accounts without permission and sent them phony posts and messages after accessing their accounts.

The company announced the damages award in a post on its blog Thursday night, saying the San Jose district court judge in the case also referred Wallace to the U.S. Attorney's office for prosecution for criminal contempt of court.

Wallace did not oppose the damages motion nor appear at the hearing on Sept. 18, according to a court filing.

Facebook's General Counsel Sam O'Rourke wrote in the blog posting, "While we don't expect to receive the vast majority of the award, we hope that this will act as a continued deterrent against these criminals."

The Wallace case marks the second large anti-spam award Facebook has won in the past year. It was awarded $873 million a year ago from Adam Guerbuez and his business, Atlantis Blue Capital, who bombarded users with sexually explicit spam messages.

Here Come the Mummies

Here's an overview of the band, Here Come the Mummies:

Here Come the Mummies is a Funk/R&B band most well known for their live performances, in which band members come onstage dressed in full mummy attire, a concept and look that is similar to the 1990's punk band, The Mummies. However, on their homepage forum, they have addressed the issue, saying, "this is a totally different band. We formed around 2000, and we did not find out about the 90's punk band "The Mummies" until several years later. Aside from the look and the underlying humor, we do not have much in common. That said, we do find their pictures, music and vibe very amusing."

The band consists of various professional musicians based in Nashville, TN. There are rumored to be several Grammy awards among the members, though this is difficult to verify as identities are kept private. They are believed to be under contract to various record labels, and hide their identities so as to prevent contract disputes while performing.

The band consists of a typical base, with a guitarist, drummer, bassist, as well as a percussionist and keyboardist. Outside of that is a brass section, consisting of trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and baritone sax. These can rotate out per show, though there is always a trumpet and saxophone present. Typically the band plays with around ten members on stage.

They keep a very tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, and are always in character, even down to the band history and individual bios.

The band's song Dirty Minds has been featured on the ABC television show Big Shots.

The band is signed on the independent label Sphinxter Records, through which they have released three albums, Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave (2002), Everlasting Party (2003), and Single Entendre (2008).

Gavin Newsome

San Fransisco's mayor Gavin Newsome pulled out of the California gubernatorial race today.

From ABC:

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom (D) is dropping out of the California governor’s race, clearing the way for Attorney General Jerry Brown to be the Democratic Party’s 2010 gubernatorial nominee.

Newsom, who was recently endorsed by former President Bill Clinton, was hoping to frame the race again Brown, who was first elected governor in 1974, as a generational choice.

In the end, Newsom was totally overwhelmed on the fundraising front.

According to the most recent count, Brown had more than seven times as much cash on hand. Brown also has a 20-point lead over Newsom in the most recent Field Poll.

Newsom is not the first Democrat to drop out of the race against Brown: earlier this year, Lt. Gov. John Garamendi (D) dropped out of the race and decided to run instead in a special election for Congress which is taking place on Tuesday. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa decided not to enter the race after seriously considering it.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., who officiated at Brown’s wedding, has not completely shut the door on running for governor but she is widely expected to pass on the race.

The Republican candidates for governor are former eBay CEO Meg Whitman, former Rep. Tom Campbell, R-Calif., and state Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner.

Current Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) is barred from running again due to term limits.

Brown, who is friends with Newsom’s father and met the future mayor when he was a boy, reacted to the news that Newsom was dropping out of the race by talking up his future.

"Mayor Newsom is a talented public official and I believe he has a bright future,” said Brown in a written statement. “ I am sure this was not an easy decision. Anne and I wish Gavin and his family all the best."

Here is Newsom’s official statement:

It is with great regret I announce today that I am withdrawing from
the race for governor of California. With a young family and
responsibilities at city hall, I have found it impossible to commit
the time required to complete this effort the way it needs to — and
should be — done.

This is not an easy decision. But it is one made with the best
intentions for my wife, my daughter, the residents of the city and
county of San Francisco, and California Democrats.

When I embarked on this campaign in April, my goal was to engage
thousands and thousands of Californians dedicated to reforming our
broken system and bringing change to Sacramento.

I would like to thank those supporters, volunteers, and donors who
have worked so hard on my behalf. I have been humbled by their support
and am indebted to their efforts. They represent the spirit of change
and determination essential to putting California back on the right
track.

I will continue to fight for change and the causes and issues for
which I care deeply — universal health care, a cleaner environment,
and a green economy for our families, better education for our
children, and, of course, equal rights under the law for all citizens.

Kathy Gloddy

Kathy Gloddy was a thirteen-year-old girl when she was raped, beaten, and killed in 1971. The case has gone unsolved all these years later. 20/20 is set to do a show spotlighting the murder.

From Citizen.com:

The ABC News magazine 20/20 will bring national eyes to the November 1971 unsolved murder of Kathy Lynn Gloddy, the 13-year-old girl who was beaten, raped, hit over the head, and run over by a car at least four times and left on a logging road.

Kathy Lynn's family has never given up the hope that those responsible for the brutal murder of their youngest sister would be brought to justice.

"We are excited that 20/20 has chosen to take on Kathy's case," remarked Janet Gloddy Young, one of Kathy's three sisters. "We are hoping through continued media exposure and through the creation of the Kathy Lynn Gloddy Reward Fund we will be able to find some answers and peace for our family."

News crews spent some time in Franklin filming the area off Webster Road where Kathy Lynn's body was found and taping the candlelight and daisy vigil family and friends held for Kathy Lynn this past summer.

In addition, retired Massachusetts Police Chief and Detective Thomas Shamshak has been helping the family not only with their search for justice but with their efforts to create and fund the first-ever cold-case unit in the state.

After the Gloddy sisters spent months testifying in both the state Senate and the N.H. House of Representatives, Gov. John D. Lynch signed the New Hampshire Cold Case unit into law in the Governor and Council's room with the family invited as special guests.

The murder investigation has taken a number of twists and turns recently, most notably when elderly Florida resident Ernest Dukette went into a police department and said he believed he was with Kathy Lynn when she died but could not remember if he had raped her.

Although Dukette later recanted his statements, saying he was ill and confused from various medications he was taking, New Hampshire authorities reopened the case and exhumed Kathy Lynn's body in hopes modern DNA mapping techniques could be used to either confirm or deny his statements.

Dukette died in August at Old Town, Fla., and never spoke another public word about Kathy Lynn and what he may have known about her murder.

Kathy Lynn's brother, Roger, now living in Colorado, has said Dukette had a reputation for drinking and being rough with women.

While Dukette took his secrets to the grave with him, Senior Assistant State Attorney Will Delker said the case would continue to be open and his investigators had reason to believe that more than one person was involved in Kathy Lynn's murder.

The last night of Kathy Lynn's life, the young athlete, poet, and conservationist took her German Shepherd out for a walk and stopped by a variety store for ice cream and a can of potato sticks — her favorites. She never made it back to her home.

Her murder devastated her family. Her mother, Lucille, committed suicide 20 years after her death, writing in a suicide note that she wanted "to be with Kathy."

Another sister, Ann Ring of Somersworth, believes at least two more men were involved in Kathy Lynn's death. One currently lives in New Hampshire; the other fled the country, she said. She said she could not divulge more details because the police investigation is ongoing.

For Kathy Lynn's brother and sisters, there is hope the national exposure on 20/20 which airs tonight at 10 o'clock may trigger information from someone who had long forgotten about the unsolved murder of the young girl so long ago.

"Someone, somewhere remembers something," said Gloddy Young.

Ring agreed: "We can't give up hope."

She described Kathy Lynn as a "loving little girl" who liked to hang out at Franklin's recreation center. Kathy Lynn excelled at basketball, baseball, and pool, and liked to write poems and collect cans to recycle, Ring said.

"She had a good heart. She was a good kid," Ring said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Franklin Police Department at 934-2535 or the N.H. State Police and ask for Det. Scott Gilbert.
