Ziegler announces campaign.

Running as a Independent Republican, Patrick Ziegler of Huck PAC and New York's Liberty Council is seeking the Republican nomination to run against Congressman Scott Murphy of New York's 20th congressional district, Murphy once described himself as a "fiscal conservative", that was before voting for cap & trade.

Ziegler is a father of two, who has led several protests against the Congressman he is seeking to defeat, is involved with Mike Huckabee's political action committee, is dedicated to the Constitution, fiscal conservatism and a limited federal government.
Patrick Ziegler, an independent Republican and grassroots organizer, announces his candidacy for Congress in New York’s 20th Congressional District and his intention to seek the Republican Party endorsement. His formal announcement takes place Wednesday, March 3 at 4 p.m. at The Good Times Restaurant, located at 175 Lake Road in Ballston Lake.

Ziegler is a Town of Ballston Committeeman, a volunteer state coordinator for HuckPAC and one of the founders of the NY Liberty Council - a coalition of grassroots organizations committed to Constitutionally-limited government, fiscal conservatism and local control over issues.

I'm not sure, but I believe that Ziegler is the lone candidate running for the Republican nomination as of this morning, however, with the political circumstances of Congressman Murphy in doubt, stronger Republican candidates could emerge in the coming weeks and months ahead.

Also, Jumping in Pools just emailed Mr.Ziegler; asking him if he will also seek the Conservative nomination as well. We have received no response as of the publication of this article.
