Arkansas Lt. Governor Bill Halter has jumped to a three point lead over incumbent Senator Blanche Lincoln
in a poll conducted by Reasearch 2000 (but set up by the Daily Kos). Kos polls tend to be a bit off and give misleading questions, but the results here may be accurate due to the fact that it's a poll of Democratic primary voters.
According to the poll, the most leftist Halter beats the centrist for the nomination:
Halter: 47%
Lincoln: 44%
The poll also says that Halter would lose by less to Republican nominee John Boozman. I tend to think that indies will run away from Halter once they hear what he has to say.
