According to the Democratic-leaning pollster Public policy polling, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid holds a slight lead in his attempt to hold on to his Nevada Senate seat. This comes after he fell behind by more than five points against challenger Sharron Angle, a Tea Party favorite.
Reid (D): 48%
Angle (R): 46%
Angle is buffeted by the fact that there are a lot of independents in Nevada. She's also hurt by the fact that only 63% of Republicans like her and she has a bad image with independents. Still, Reid's below 50% and it appears that even with Angle being unpopular, she's at least seen as no worse than Harry Reid by many people.
And that could make all the difference.
