Zuckerman: Little Faith in Obama

Mort Zuckerman, the owner of the NY Daily News and a formerly rumored candidate for Senate in New York this year famously endorsed Barack Obama in 2008 just four years after endorsing President George W. Bush. Despite this stance, Zuckerman has appeared to have stepped back from his earlier position, expressing disappointment in a column in US News and World Report.

He is cutting from the first paragraph:

Hope may have been a quick breakfast, but it has proved a poor supper. A year and a half ago Obama was walking on water. Today he is barely treading water. Then, his soaring rhetoric enraptured the nation. Today, his speeches cannot lift him past a 45 percent approval rating.
