Damn it! Maryland beats Navy.

The Midshipmen dominated Time of Possession by a two-to-one margin, ran for well over 130 more yards than Maryland's combined total offense, reached the red zone more times than I can count and they still lost to the Terrapins, who won a grand total of two games last season.

It was painful to watch!

Instead of kicking the 15 yard field goal to force the game into overtime, Navy went for it. With just one yard to go, Ricky Dobbs was plugged by the Maryland defense, and the nail biter was over. I would not call it a "upset", but I can guarantee the Navy coach, players, fans, and ESPN broadcasters were all shocked beyond belief.

Maryland (ACC) - 17 (1-0).
Navy (Indepen.) - 14 (0-1).

This Labor Day absolutely sucked.

Damn it! I just found out that Army won their season opener on Saturday.
