I Thought the World Was Going to be a Utopia When Obama was Inaugurated

This is a kind of a rhetorical question, but one that needs to be answered. Throughout the Presidential campaign I was promised, if Barack Obama was elected President, that the country would be united as one and that life would be oh so grand.

Well, where is all of this?

As I watch the news, I see the American people reel against the Stimulus Bill and I see all but three Republicans in Congress standing against it. Thus the country is divided on the very first bill that President Obama has tried to shove through the Legislature.

All is life all so grand? Is the economy better? Of course it isn’t. You can say that Obama inherited a bad economy; that is true. But you can easily say that he has made it worse. I particularly am reminded of the DOW plummeting over 200 points because of strife with the Stimulus Bill.

And here I thought that rivers would flow with honey and the streets would be paved with gold.
