Senators opposed to Harry Reid/Obamacare "government option".

According to personal research, following the news, and the latest information coming out of the health care debate from the United States Senate, Senate Republicans do have enough votes to stop the "government" option in the United States Senate.

As of now, all 40 Republicans in the United States Senate (even Senator Snowe) oppose the Harry Reid/Obamacare "government option" health care plan which is currently being proposed, along with all 40 Republicans, Senator Lieberman of Connecticut has also come out against the government option this afternoon, and he will support Republican attempts to filibuster the legislation.

While there has been much discussion over Senator Lieberman's position in the health care debate, he has for the most part been on our side, as he also opposes the Baucus bill which currently awaits in the United States Senate, opposed Harry Reid's "doctor buy-off" scheme in the Senate, and even questioned the need for a "public option" several months ago (Note : he now opposes the public option/government option 100%).

Now we have 41 against the current health care proposal in the United States Senate, it is also possible we could pick up Senators Nelson & Lincoln in opposition to this legislation as well, however, you never know what is going to happen, hopefully we can stop all of the Democratic health care proposals once and for all.

While we are fighting a battle seriously outnumbered in both houses of Congress, I have a good feeling about defeating the Democratic efforts to destroy the greatest health care system in the world. God Bless the Congressional Republicans who have done an awesome job opposing this legislation, hopefully we can back them up next November and pass real health care reform, based in Freedom & Capitalism.

It's Capitalism Stupid

I really have to ask something, why can't Democrats & Liberals realize that there is a correct path of action in regards to economic down turns, and that there is a wrong path of action in regards to economic down turns. Or, how come they cannot understand that little inconvenient truth, that their path of action does not work.

For the most part over the past three decades, America has done quite well in regards to the national economy, thanks to Ronald Reagan allowing business to expand for the first time in over two decades, the Republican Congress which held the big spending & taxation by Clinton to a minimum, not to mention George W.Bush, who pushed through tax cuts which have benefited millions of Americans.

Some claim that the above mentioned caused the current economic recession, considering the "social program" which started this whole mess, was created & put forth by President Clinton, Barney Frank, and other left wing goons during the late 1990's, I would beg to differ. As their little social welfare for housing, led to banks cheating the books to magically turned a profit, and led to people who could not afford those houses in the first place, to eventually be foreclosed on. All because of one social program, which helped led to one of the largest since the Great Depression.

Democrats have attempted the "Hoover-FDR" approach of big government involvement, they both failed. In fact, the love affair with the unions by both administrations, was a leading factor in why the depression lasted so long. See, when times get tough, businesses have to cut back on all costs, including labor, they would not let that happen - so what occurred, they cut back on workers, which as Matt described in an earlier article, led to cutting back on production of new products.

Leading to a trickle down effect of less wealth for everyone, hmmmmmmm, the Conservative options lead to a trickle down effect of more wealth for everyone, wealth actually earned through hard work.

This is one of the reasons I am against the minimum wage on principle & practice, because it does not allow for the process of supply & demand to dictate payment, it is also another government intrusion into the workplace, and surprise - surprise, not on the behalf of the business owner, who actually runs the business.

I suspect with all that Obama is doing, our debt will increase, inflation is bound to go up, with planned tax hikes, not to mention letting the great Bush tax cuts expire, I do not see a real recovery for a long time to come.

Obama College Thesis: 'Constitution is Inherently Flawed'

President Barack Obama's college record has officially been under strict secrecy since his run for the White House began in 2007. This record includes two years at Occidental College in Los Angeles, two years at Columbia University, and finally at Harvard Law School.

During his time at these colleges, Obama gained notoriety for being an especially bright and hardworking student. At Harvard, he was later elected as the editor of the Harvard Law Review, which many observers see as the beginning of his political career.

However, many things regarding the future President's time at these colleges have remained private. Under order of the Obama campaign, all information not directly allowed published by Obama himself, is not to be disclosed to any media. These included grades, attendance records, rewards received, and papers submitted.

With all of the secrecy regarding the President's academic record, famed Time reporter Joe Klein looked into the records for an upcoming special edition about the President. Klein included several key points in the piece, including his grades and stellar letters of recommendation. However, what has leaked along with this information was the subject of a thesis written by the young Obama while still an undergraduate at Columbia.

A political science major, Obama was seen as a top student, according to his classmates. Professors even asked the young student to lecture several times. Obama was required to write a 'senior seminar' paper in order to graduate from Columbia. The subject of this paper, which totaled 44 pages, was American government. Entitled Aristocracy Reborn, this paper chronicled the long struggle of the working class against, as Obama put it, "plutocratic thugs with one hand on the money and the other on the government."

In the paper, in which only the first ten pages were given to the general media, Obama decries the plight of the poor: "I see poverty in every place I walk. In Los Angeles and New York, the poor reach to me with bleary eyes and all I can do is sigh."

In part, the future President blames this on the current economic system: "There are many who will defend the 'free market.' But who will defend the single mother of four working three jobs. When a system is allowed to be free at the expense of its citizens, then it is tyranny."

However, the President also singled out the American Constitution: "... the Constitution allows for many things, but what it does not allow is the most revealing. The so-called Founders did not allow for economic freedom. While political freedom is supposedly a cornerstone of the document, the distribution of wealth is not even mentioned. While many believed that the new Constitution gave them liberty, it instead fitted them with the shackles of hypocrisy."

It is yet unknown if more of this thesis will be released. It was also noted that the President received an A- for the paper, which later led to his graduation.
