We Should be Ashamed

Exactly nine years ago to the minute, hundreds of people were dying. Many died of burns, trauma, or smoke inhalation. Just minutes later would almost 3,000 in total be murdered by an imperialist attack by the forces of Islamist terrorism. People jumped from the Towers in order to not suffer burns any longer-- people walked stunned over the Brooklyn Bridge-- over 200 firefighters did not return home.

And few remember.

We should be ashamed of ourselves. In the days following the attacks of September 11th, 2001, some of the most parroted lines were "Lest we forget" and "Never forget." By the end of 2005 it was apparent that the majority of Americans had forgotten, or just did not care.

Think about the resolve of the 90% of Americans who stood up to call for a blistering attack on the center of Islamist terrorism. That not only meant the Taliban, but state sponsors, like Iraq, Iran, and Syria. Time had come to finally destroy those who had funded this type of murder for decades.

Do you remember how idiotic the 10% of the rest of the country looked when they opposed attacking Osama? Those people formed the core of the anti-Iraq War detractors and the Kerry '04 and Obama '08 campaigns. They are just as stupid now as they were while Ground Zero was still smoldering.

President Bush made a roaring and strong speech just nine days after the attack, showing just what we had to do. Americans were supportive of it then, when we actually remembered the attack:

We're really so concerned that three terrorists were waterboarded? We're so concerned that Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the planner of the deaths of 3,000 Americans and the decapitator of Daniel Pearl, had a gunshot fired near him to scare him? I don't care. He murdered thousands of innocent people. I just don't care about him getting waterboarded, and neither should you.

We whine so much about the tools which prevented the next attack. We are disgusted by the lessons learned from the attacks.

Say what you want about George W. Bush, but he kept his promises. He promised that he wouldn't forget. He promised that he would make sure to avenge September 11th, 2001, and make sure that it would not reoccur on his watch.

He kept his word-- that is his legacy.

9/11: President Bush's Bull Horn Speech

As I'm sure you know, soon after 9/11 the media disallowed the showing of the tragic events of that day.  Many have forgotten the horrors of that day, the shock that ran down your spine as you first learned that a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center Towers.  Many have forgotten what we are fighting against and why a War on Terror, which this President refuses to even say, was and is so necessary.  But we remember.  We remember the brave men and women who died when cowards attacked us that early September morning.  We remember the tears we shed, we remember the love we held for every American that day.

Now this is how a President should act and speak:

I miss that man, I really do.

The truth about Iraq and President Bush.

Here's a rough timeline of the War in Iraq:

10/10/02 - The US Congress authorizes War in Iraq.
03/17/03 - Pres. Bush gives Saddam Hussein 2 days.
03/20/03 - War in Iraq is launched by United States.
04/09/03 - Baghdad falls to Allied troops, Iraqis celebrate.
07/13/03 - The Iraqi Governing Council is established.
12/13/03 - Saddam Hussein is captured by US Troops.
03/08/04 - Signature of Iraq's provisional Constitution.
04/18/04 - Abu Ghraib prison/detainee scandal erupts.
07/01/04 - Saddam Hussein appears at first hearing.
01/30/05 - Iraqi legislative election held: Shias control.
10/15/05 - Iraqi people support Constitution by 78.6%.
02/22/06 - The al-Askari Mosque bombing by Sunni's.
06/07/06 - Scum: Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is obliterated.
11/07/06 - Republicans lose control of House and Senate.
12/30/06 - Former dictator Saddam Hussein is executed.
01/10/07 - Surge of 20,000 US soldiers is announced.
09/10/07 - Gen. Petraeus Report reveals Surge progress.
2008 - Violence, deaths, and War draw down in Iraq.
2009 - Great Britain leaves Iraq and the Nation stabilizes.
2010 - Iraqi parliamentary election and political infighting.

Through it all President Bush was the man who supported the Iraqi War, supported the Troops, and never reconsidered his support, even when his own fellow Republicans asked him to, for the sake of political power. And through it all Senator Obama was the man who opposed the War, opposed the Troops, and opposed Victory.

No more thoughts are needed.

Int'l Court: Kosovo Independence Legal

The International Court of Justice has ruled by a majority margin that the Kosovan declaration of independence two years ago was legal. The Court does not have actual authority and is more of an advisory body, but by a 10-4 ruling it showed that Kosovo is legally separated from its former oppressor, Serbia.

Kosovo and Albania, both Muslim nations, are both allies of the United States and Albania has been a steadfast ally in the War on Terror, sending combat troops to Afghanistan and Iraq.

And when President Bush visited the country in 2007 he received an intense welcome:

And while there the Ambassador of Albania to the US wrote the following in the Washington Times:

From a country with only 3.5 million people, the troops -- the flower of Albania's youth -- represent the best Albania has to offer. Why does Albania do this when it could have avoided President Bush's call for support, or when it could have dropped out as others have done when the going got tough? The answer is not difficult to find. If you believe in freedom, you believe in fighting for it. If you believe in fighting for freedom, you believe in America.

Unlike people in other countries in Europe and elsewhere, the Albanian people have not forgotten what it is like to live under tyranny and repression. The Albanians for more than 40 years were held in thrall by the repressive forces of the communists, living like prisoners without rights in their own country. It was to the United States that freedom-loving Albanians looked for inspiration during those dark years, and the Americans have not let us down.
Albania has stood with us from the darkest days in late 2001 to the fight in Iraq during the Surge to Afghanistan today. Albania has contributed more per capita to forces in Iraq and Afghanistan that any other nation on the planet and will not back down.

In the late 1990s during the Serbian-engineered genocide in Kosovo, al Qaeda came to "help" their fellow Muslims in an attempt to fight the Serbian army. Instead the Albanian guerrillas drove al Qaeda out embarassed.

President Bush was proud to support Kosovo's right to self-determination. I certainly am proud to stand with him.

The power of George W. Bush.

Hat Tip -Doug Powers.

I've come to the conclusion that former President George W. Bush is the most powerful man in the entire world, and he doesn't even know it. Over the past few years I've heard that George W. Bush, who seems just like a regular guy from Texas, has used his superman powers to cause hurricanes, earthquakes, and even snowstorms.

The power of hick Texans is astronomical!

When President George W. Bush left the White House 18 months ago, most expected his superman powers, besides for causing Al Gore to divorce Tipper, would be of no further use. However, it appears the superman President has a new weapon to wreck havoc in the world:

That's right! According to some Conservative bloggers, the pre-release "leakings" of his Book to the Main Stream Media will cause Republican candidates across the Nation to lose, because just the mention of the superman President will cause fear to spread across the US and will send all voters back to the Hope and Change Express.

I'm not kidding, some members of the Conservative blogosphere are actually accusing George W. Bush of planning to release information to the Press regarding his memoir/book before the mid-term elections, in order to hurt Republican chances at the voting booth.

Paranoia or what?

Goodness! George W. Bush is a lifelong Republican, and trust me, he is more than aware of the fact that Republican candidates will be distancing their campaigns from him, even though polls have indicated Bush's approval rating has gone up from basement levels, voters are split 50-50 as to whether America would be better with a Bush or Obama White House, and billboards with Bush's face have appeared across the Nation in support of him.

If Republicans fail to recapture the House this November, it's their fault, not President Bush's.

Bush memoir to be released on November 9th.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, President George W. Bush will be releasing his much anticipated memoir on November 9th of this year, one week after the midterm elections. President Bush is expected to dive into the "decisions" that defined his two terms in the White House, explaining the appropriate title of his book: "Decision Points".

I purchased Karl Rove's memoir with glee and I digested it with much anticipation, but there's nothing like hearing the words straight from the man who held the power and made the real important decisions during the inaugural decade of the 2000's. Call me a partisan, but I'll be purchasing this memoir with whatever cash I can get my hands on.

What about you, are you looking forward to reading President Bush's memoir in November?

Also, if I find one paragraph of President Bush bashing or tarnishing his political or media opponents, I'll be deeply surprised. Infact, I'd be willing to wager that not one negative word will be published.

Obama: It's Bush's Fault

I feel like vomiting after the garbage that was shoved down my throat tonight.

To sum up:

Why did Obama deepen our debt? Bush.
Why did we lose the jobs that Obama said we wouldn't? Bush.
Did Bush have any problems while in office? No, he made them (I guess for Obama to deal with)

And of course, tax cuts won't work, spending less won't work. We MUST tax, we must spend, and somehow the average American will have more money in their wallet.

UPDATE: Watch the Republican Response here.
