Feingold Continues to Trail in Wisconsin Race.

Democratic Senator Russ Feingold continues to trail rightwing Republican Businessman Ron Johnson in the state of Wisconsin, according to a new poll from Rasmussen Reports. Johnson is a lifelong man of business, and his unexpected strength against Senator Feingold, a lifelong politician from a state that is definitely progressive, has been well documented by Jumping in Pools over the past few months (last link is to latest poll):

June 22 - Feingold vs. Johnson:

Russ Feingold (D) - 46%.
Ron Johnson (R) - 45%.
Other/Undecided - 9%.

July 29 - Feingold vs. Johnson:

Ron Johnson (R) - 48%.
Russ Feingold (D) - 46%.
Other/Undecided - 6%.

August 11 - Feingold vs. Johnson:

Ron Johnson (R) - 47%.
Russ Feingold (D) - 46%.
Other/Undecided - 7%.

As you can see, Senator Feingold's support hasn't increased or decreased in two months, while Mr.Johnson's support has remained the same, besides for a few fence sitters that are currently leaning in his direction. And with the election just under 12 weeks/3 months from now, both Senator Feingold and Mr.Johnson should beg for a major/huge scandal to break, or else the results of this election cannot and will not be known until election night.

Feingold Falls Behind in WI Senate Race

Incumbent Democratic Senator Russ Feingold, one of the most leftist members of the United States Senate has officially fallen behind in his quest for another term. This is bad news for Feingold for several reasons. One, it's not usually good to be seen as behind as an incumbent. Second, his polling is steadily under 50%, showing deep dissatisfaction in his job performance. Third, he is behind Ron Johnson, who is basically unknown in the state. As Johnson is able to attack more and Feingold is forced on the defensive and to explain his record, his poll numbers may fall further. This is one of the toss-up races within the Senate races this year.

The poll comes from Rasmussen, the most accurate of the major pollsters. Previous polls showed Feingold with a small lead, but now it appears that he is slipping further. RELATED: A solution to the AZ immigration law.

Johnson (R): 48%
Feingold (D): 46%
Other/und: 6%

Undecided and irate voters tend to fall in about two-thirds behind the challenger. If this is the case in this race, Johnson would pick up a total of 52% and Feingold 48%. President Bush only lost this state by 10,000 votes in 2004 and a smaller turnout within the Democratic base coupled with a well-oiled GOP machine could put Feingold behind for good.

"NOT the whiteman's bitch".

Imagine this mailer in late October:

Hi! I'm NOT the 'whiteman's bitch, and I'm running for State Assembly!

For voters in Wisconsin's 10th Assembly District (located within Milwaukee) this almost became a reality, as Ieshuh Griffin, an Independent candidate who is running to replace the retiring Polly Williams in November, actually submitted "NOT the 'whiteman's bitch" as her official statement of purpose on the ballot.

(Independent candidates are allowed a five-word statement of purpose in Wisconsin, in order to let the voters know what their campaign is about).

Thankfully, all candidate statements must be approved, and the racially charged statement that Ms.Griffin issued was struck down. However, the board which reviews the statement's of purpose's was divided*, and three members supported Ms.Griffin and her offensive slogan, a majority of the board, but not enough according to state law (2/3rds of board required).

Besides for being offensive to all White Male's in Wisconsin's 10th Assembly District, Ms.Griffin also has no sense of common decency, which makes her 100% a bitch, and at least part of her slogan 100% accurate.

Feingold Only Up By 2%

 Russ Feingold, one of the most liberal members of the United States Senate, is not exactly beloved in his attempt to achieve reelection in Wisconsin. Wisconsin, a culturally conservative swing state, has sent Feingold to the Senate without massive support in the past. According to a new Rasmussen poll (the most accurate in the business), Feingold only holds a 2% lead over relative unknown Ron Johnson, a businessman.

Even worse is that Feingold does not break 50% even against this non-politician. If President Obama's approval keeps slipping and Democratic turnout crashes, Feingold may see himself tossed from the Senate.

Feingold: 46%
Johnson: 44%

There's still a 10% undecided factor here, but most of these people are probably already acquainted with Feingold. He needs to win them back quickly before Johnson's machine gets into full gear. Considering that undecideds tend to split 2/3 for the challenger in races like this, Feingold would then lose 50.6%-49.4%.... Keep an eye on this one.
