The Second Amendment under President Obama.

When the Obama Administration took over last January; I was understandably concerned about what impact the current White House, when combined with two Democratic controlled Houses of Congress, would have on America's Second Amendment. However, out of all the blunders and all the unconstitutional actions; America's Second Amendment has actually been strengthened over the past 16 months.

Considering the anti-second amendment feeling within the White House; how could America's most important right be strengthening?

1. The National Rifle Association has grown to 4 million members. While other Conservative organizations have benefited from tax, health care and other-in-the-news' issues of general importance; Second Amendment issues have rarely been discussed.

2. After the President was inaugurated last year; millions upon millions of Americans bought firearms, ammo and other gun related items as fast as they could. Reasonable Americans no longer took their Constitutional right for granted.

3. Pro-Gun legislation has been passed across the United States; from Tennessee to the Halls of Congress. Legislation to allow Right-To-Carry gunholders to carry weapons across state lines almost passed in the Senate; and pro-gun language absolutely stalled the "Washington DC" voter rights act.

It's true that Sonia Sotomayor has been confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice, and that Elena Kagan will also be confirmed to the Court and will oppose our Second Amendment rights as well; but a slim Court majority of 5 Justices should forever stop Cities such as Chicago from prohibiting local gunowners from possessing firearms, when the McDonald v. Chicago case is eventually decided.

While every other part of the United States Constitution has been threatened, raped and harassed by officials within the Obama Administration; the Second Amendment has survived and thrived under a seemingly hostile White House; proving the political hazard of messing with America's most important right.

Isaac Hayes on National Guard: No Thanks.

It is being proposed by two Illinois' State Representatives that the Governor of Illinois should call on the National Guard to impose order in the City of Chicago. Well Isaac Hayes, a Republican candidate for Congress, announced his opposition to such a plan this morning on his campaign blog.

Citing the Fourth Amendment protection against "unreasonable search and seizure" and how the National Guard would be unfamiliar with the layout of Chicago, unlike local cops who have strong relations with local leaders, Isaac Hayes has instead called for a "police surge" of 100 county and state law enforcement to secure a perimeter "and provide a safe zone for job creation and small business investment".

I agree with the Reverend on his proposed "police surge", especially since his plan is based on the successful Iraqi and Afghanistan "troop surges" over the past few years, adapted for law enforcement reasons of course. However, it wouldn't matter if we declare martial law and only the gangsters and thugs were left in Chicago: The problem is deeper.

None of these gangsters are attracted to crime for social-economic factors, or because there is not enough job creation, but for the lack of father figures in the black home. The solution is the black family reorganizing into a whole once again. I know the word "organizing" was used in relation to Chicago, but it's true - If the biological fathers don't step up to the plate within the next few years, than nothing will ever change in Chicago.

As for Isaac Hayes: Despite running in one of the most Democratic districts in America, this man is one hell of a fighter for our common Conservative causes, and against a common political foe: Jesse Jackson Jr, a radical in his own right. It's true that Hayes' has a relative small chance of winning, unless a massive scandal erupts between now and November, but he's a candidate who deserves some help from regular Conservatives across America, whether that help be five bucks or five hundred bucks.

Obama Quotes: See if You Can Tell Which are Real and Which are Fake

President Obama has been full of plenty of gaffes, but lets see if you can spot his worst ones. Note: Quotation marks represent exact quotes, while single apostrophes represent paraphrasing (or, in other words, I couldn't find the exact quote on the internet).

1. "Americans must realize that they must sacrifice wants in order to truly succeed in the future."

2. 'If you pass my stimulus bill, unemployment will not rise above eight percent.'

3. 'What I really enjoy is inter-league play in baseball; because of it, the Yankees and Red Sox can renew their rivalry.'

4. "Jimmy Carter has had the best foreign policy in the last forty years."

5. “I do think that there’s a different quality to what used to be Cominskey Field vs. Wrigley”

6. 'There are no earmarks in the stimulus bill.'

7. "Israel must realize that there are two powers that claim ownership in Jerusalem, and neither is more justified than the other."

8. "I will cut taxes... for 95 percent of all working families, because, in an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle class."

9. "In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world."

10. "Yoko Ono is the best thing to ever happen to the Beatles."

1. Fake. I seriously doubt Pres. Obama would ever say normal people will have to sacrifice anything. Rather, the rich will, and the middle and lower classes will live in paradise.

2. Real. Though touted as a "lie" by liberal commentators, the quote has been referenced by the Huffington Post and NPR, two news organizations that are all but conservative.

3. Fake. No, the President doesn't know that much about baseball, but I hope he knows that the Yanks and Nation are in the same league.

4. Fake. Or, at least, God I hope its fake.

5. Real. I'm sure all of the White Sox fans out there love the fact that President Obama got both names wrong of the old Chicago stadium, Comiskey Park, not Cominskey (extra n) Field. Oh, and Obama says he's a die-hard White Sox fan.

6. Real. Yeah, you should probably vomit after hearing that one. The Prez made that comment all the way back on February 9, and there have been over a billion dollars worth of pork since.

7. Fake. Though he hasn't said this particularly, the Commander in Chief has come scarily close.

8. Real. Yup, a campaign promise I'm sure you're familiar with, one that will almost definitely be broken to pay for the President's planned health care, stimulus, and stimulus 2.

9. Real. Chalk one more up for mean ol' America ruining everybody's life. I could just imagine how great the world would be without us.

10. Fake. I just added that one because no one could believe that. Not even Yoko Ono.

DNC Owes Chicago Over $1 M

Chicago was chosen as the site of the big bash coinciding with President Obama's election in November. While it is unusual to have such a large and self-absorbed celebration for the election of a President, it was assured as a celebration of America.

Instead, the party reeked of arrogance and self-importance. And the DNC still hasn't picked up the bill, despite the city being in a deficit. Mayor Daley was fit to cram in as many well-wishers as possible on that night, without making sure that the bill was paid.

Considering the Obama campaign labeled itself as super-clean and far from corrupt, you would figure that they would pay for the expenses or at least prod the DNC. Instead:

In late October, Mayor Daley assured that the cash-flush Obama campaign would reimburse the city for every penny spent on the rally. "We have a financial crisis," he said at the time. "The City of Chicago could not afford $2 million on this because we're gonna be laying off people, cutting back. That [cost] would really be unfortunate. . . . It's a huge cost to the City of Chicago.

"This is not a presidential visit. . . . This is a political event, and they've agreed to pay for all those services -- all the expenses of that. ... It's costly, but they raised quite a bit of money. There's no [shortage] of money in that campaign."
