Senator Levin Assaulted With a Pie.

I cannot believe that this has happened in America.

Senator Carl Levin had an apple pie thrown in his face this morning while talking to Democrats in a Mecosta County, Michigan deli. The reason? He's a defender of Israel, and he doesn't vote 99% of the time down the liberal foreign policy line. Of course my reaction is: And..........throwing a pie at a United States Senator is your only available response?

For some reason this incident is insulting to me. Whether a US Senator be Republican or Democrat; Conservative or Liberal, that individual deserves a certain amount of respect, and what happened in Michigan this morning broke the barrier between respectful disagreement with an elected official, and downright disrespectful intolerance.

America elected these Two creeps?

President Clinton (well known fact) and Vice President Gore (as being reported by Star Magazine today) both cheated on their wives. If only the American electorate knew about these creeps beforehand. And just to think - we went from our moral Founders to America electing these Two immoral creeps in just 200 years. Amazing.

What say you?

Also: At least Gore didn't cheat on his wife while in the Vice President's Mansion, but it doesn't matter where or when he did it, because he still did it, and he still broke that sacred vow of marriage. But with Laurie David of all people?

I Won't Be Missing You At All (A Message to Obama)

Dear Friends,

Yes, another parody. Why you ask? Because we here at jumpinginpools all know that you LOVE parodies and strongly dislike that Obama fellow is is sorta kinda not really running the country right now. Hence another parody is needed. I could do this all day, but then that would kill the anticipation of when I announce I am in the process of making another one. (soon perhaps). Anywhom (politically incorrect phrase by the way), here is the newest parody from yours truly. It is called "Won't Be Missing You At All (A Message To Obama)", a parody of a song we should know pretty well: "Missing You", by John Waite.

Enjoy, and remember blowing up congress will not solve anything (believe me, I've thought of it once or twice).

"Won't Be Missing You At All (A Message to Obama)"
- A Parody of "Missing You", by John Waite

Everytime I think of you,
I almost lose my lunch,
And I'm still standing here,
And you're telling lies,
I still hate you a bunch,

And there's a bill that going,
Through this liberal congress tonight,

I hear your name on the T.V,
And I always try not to puke,
And you're giving another speech,
We all know O'Reilly will rebuke,

And there's a hope that's dying,
In America's heart tonight,

I won't be missing you at all,
When you're finally gone away.
I won't be missing you at all,
Goodbye I'd love to say,

And there's a scandal that's brewing,
In the oval office today,
I can only hope our "messiah"
Will knoiw the right lies to say,

And there's a child saying,
Did you plug the hole tonight,

I won't be missing you at all,
When you're finall gone away,
I won't be missing you at all,
Go to hell I love to say,

There's a message from the U.S,
Like a buzzer in you're brain,
If I can't get it to you, get it to you
And stop this crap thats making me insane

I wont be missing you at all,
When you're finally gone away,
I won't be missing you at all,
Kiss my.. (bleep) I'd love to say,

REPEAT CHORUS TO FADEOUT

Eugene Robinson: You Know, Now That I Think About It, Right-Wingers are Terrorists

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson, a frequent guest on MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann has another enlightening post about how the folks who are right of center are basically terrorists while on the left-- well they're all non-violent, anyway.

And of course, according to him, talkers like Limbaugh and Beck are basically telling their listeners to strap on a bomb and take out a PETA headquarters, more or less:

It is dishonest for right-wing commentators to insist on an equivalence that does not exist. The danger of political violence in this country comes overwhelmingly from one direction -- the right, not the left. The vitriolic, anti-government hate speech that is spewed on talk radio every day -- and, quite regularly, at tea party rallies -- is calibrated not to inform but to incite.

Meanwhile on Harball on MSNBC today I heard Chris Matthews implicitly compare tea partiers to the assassin of JFK. Well, at least he's.... employed.

We also just know that the left didn't smash in windows during the 2004 campaign or throw stones at cops during the RNC convention. Come to think of it, no left-wingers threatened to kill President Bush or said that someone should. Never.

Mike Lupica is an Idiot

New York Daily News sports writer has delved into the political world with a particularly insulated, poorly understood article. He's done this for years, namely rebutting President Bush's speech announcing the Iraq troop surge (why a sports writer?). In any case, you can probably tell where he's heading with just the title of his article:

Tea Party activism is not about political dissent - It's about vile, storm trooper sound bites

This is no longer about political dissent. It is about storm trooper sound bites, and hate. This isn't the kind of honest debate on which our system of government has been built. It is vile, back-alley fighting, getting worse by the day, with no end in sight. People say that opposition to all Presidents, even the most unpopular white ones, sounds like this. No, it doesn't.Stick to the sports pages, Mike.

So if you have some time and extra stress in your life, you can check out the rest of the article. That being said, you might not want to waste your time.

LGF Blames Pentagon Shooting On Right Wing

And so we get to observe yet another chapter in the slow and mystifying fall of blogger Charles Johnson, who has blamed yesterday's Pentagon shooting on yet another 'anti-government loon.'

Was the shooter crazy, and in fact, anti-government. Absolutely. However, Johnson is attempting to tie John Patrick Bedell to the right-wing and the Tea Party movement. There's a huge problem here, though. Bedell is actually a registered Democrat and is one of the extremist anti-Bushites. This truther's ideology can be clearly seen through his goings-on on the internet, including his Amazon profile.

So will Johnson and LGF backtrack? Well, judging from this snarky comment from our dear genius Cato the Elder, I'd have to say no.

Need More Proof that Obama Voters are Mentally Deficient?

This from the Washington Post, which tends to lean left. Apparently the throngs of idiotic 18-25 year olds who partered with their hippy and yuppy professors and co-op cashiers are now realizing that the massive amount of energy and time they put into Barack Obama they could have actually used solving a real problem.

I think that this says it all:

"To be an activist is a lifestyle," says Jenn Watts. She was Shimm's boss. An Irish Catholic girl of 22 with a Fordham education in philosophy and urban and African American studies, she started as a fundraiser in the District, then went into the field in Iowa and followed the primary trail -- Minnesota, Texas, Wisconsin. She helped organize the national convention in Denver and went home to Indiana for the finale.

Then she crashed. "I was malnourished. I was delusional. I hadn't slept," she says. She moved to Washington and began competing with fellow staffers for White House jobs. "I saw some people who turned into different people. I felt naive about it. We were all one big progressive happy family, I thought, and now it was, oh, this was about you and your career?"

"I had left my boyfriend of two and a half years. I had to rebuild my friendships. I was totally MIA to my family . . . I had made all these sacrifices for two years, and the country is ready for change, and Obama is in the White House, but I had ceded everything to him to be an exhausted 26-year-old in debt."

Wow. What a fucking tard.

I Knew It! People Who Watch Jon Stewart are Idiots!

Well, it's something that's been on my mind for years, but I'm so glad to see it actually confirmed in a newspaper. From the New York Times we find out that Jon Stewart fans are a bunch of egotistical self-righteous buffoons... or at least one-fifth of them.

According to 'secret media research' done by the geniuses at Comedy Central, at least twenty percent of all of the viewers of The Daily Show or the Colbert Report believe that people think they're cool for doing so. (We'll leave Stephen Colbert out of this because he's actually funny.)

That's right, they think that other people think they're cool for not actually doing anything but sitting there, mouths agape. There's a clinical term for this: college douchebags.

And you know what else drives up the Daily Show's ratings? The fact that it's seen as cool to watch the show, even though it's not funny. True, many college students and pseudo-hippies don't get the material, but if they laugh hard they can belong to something. Besides, they can be persuaded to vote-- even though they're clueless. You know, the best type of voters.

The problem is that many if not most of these viewers then do not watch any actual news because they've already 'been informed' by twenty seconds of a CNN clip that Stewart followed with a frowny face. They believe that since they're now endowed with almighty suave from watching Comedy Central, they can go up to people and shout at them if they don't choke down the Democratic line.

The study asked... ultimately, how important the shows and hosts are in their lives. Seriously, if a stiff like Jon Stewart is that important in your life, you should join a cult.
