Another look at Barbour?

I love Haley Barbour.

He's a Conservative who can hang around with the Establishment on Monday, lead a Grassroots charge on Tuesday, and have a beer with all of them on Wednesday, without changing his highly opinionated thoughts on any particular issue. Or in other words, he's an honest Conservative to all parties involved, big or small, and that's why some are on the Barbour 2012 bandwagon.

However, his polling numbers are trash - just 1% of Republican voters in New Hampshire would support his campaign according to a poll released by Public Policy Polling several months ago. In part, due to most voters not knowing who he is, even though he was the former Chairman of the RNC during the Clinton years.

So he's a good Republican who has no shot at winning the Nomination?

Sounds about right, but I wouldn't dismiss a Barbour 2012 campaign for three reasons:

1. Barbour's approval rating in Mississippi is 70%, and no other candidate besides for Mike Huckabee would have a chance of sweeping the deep south such as Barbour does.

2. Barbour was not only the highly successful Chairman of the entire GOP between 1993-1997, but he is currently the Chairman of the Republican Governor's Association, which is heading towards a dramatic victory this November across the Nation's many battleground states.

3. Haley Barbour is an honest Conservative who has already successfully reformed health care for the better at a state level (Tort Reform), and who has enacted policies that have led to Mississippi's very low abortion rate (parental consent required, banned late term abortions and state funding for elective abortions).

Perhaps the average Republican should take another look at Barbour?

Guest Article From Notoriously Conservative: "So True"

We have recently been in contact with several site across the inter-webs, and we are pleased to bring you all our first guest article, from the great site Notoriously Conservative. So please enjoy, and check back for more:

From an e-mail I received:

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he doesn't want anyone to have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to stand up to his enemy.
If a liberal sees a foreign threat, he wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a minority is conservative, they see themselves as self-sufficient.
If a minority is liberal, they see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
If a liberal is down-and-out, he wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
If a liberal doesn't like a talk show host, he demands that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
If a liberal is a non-believer, he wants any mention of God or religion silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
If a liberal doesn't have health care, he demands that the rest of us pay for it.
Of course there are exceptions to everything, but the point is still made.

Americans find their Conservative roots, but can we keep it going?

While Americans have been against almost all of Obama's stances/beliefs/policy decisions over the past six months, from the first stimulus package to the talk of a second stimulus package, Americans have slowly, but surely have put the faulty decisions of Obama towards his job performance.

Rasmussen Reports has tracked America's opinion of Obama's job performance - via approve/disapprove, the numbers have average 55% of approval & 44% of disapproval towards Obama, well the tide is beginning to go down - his current Nationwide approval has dimmed to 52% & his disapproval is at an all time high of 47%. Rasmussen also tracks strongly approve/disapprove as well, and the strongly disapprove has been below zero for the past week, with a 33% strongly approve & 36% strongly disapprove.

All good news right? It gets better from the swing state of Ohio.

Via the Quinnipiac poll on the opinion of voters from the state of Ohio, only a mere 49% of voters approve of the job Obama is doing, and a strong 44% disapprove of the job Obama is doing. With a close Senate race expected next November, expect an even closer Presidential election in 2012. A +5% approval rating in any state should be a good thing, however with a very slim win in Ohio & the state being more Conservative then not - also very good news for Conservatives & Republicans alike.

Americans are turning on Obama, Democrat liberalism/neo-marxism in terms of National Security, America in general, when it comes to the size of government, and the economy (which Obama has made worse in just 6 months) - the citizens of Ohio are following that path as well, and with both drifting towards buyers remorse - Conservatives & the Republican party must be ready to accept the pro-Conservative voting bloc once again (always was pro-Conservative, just got confused in '08).

And by accept, I mean act like Conservatives while running for office & while running the Nation.

Good news all around.

A woman once asked Benjamin Franklin (after the Constitutional convention) whether or not we have a monarch or a Republic, he responded "a Republic, if you can keep it" - Can the Republican party keep & lead through its Conservative principles? "Yes, if you can keep them".

England bans USA Conservatism

Unlike the rest of the world, the United States via the first amendment protects the freedom of speech, whether it be private or political related. This was especially put in place for political reasons so dissent could not be banned or not subject to penalty, however many President's during a time of war (never George W. Bush) have shut down all dissent. Which I have never supported, because then you become like those you have sworn to fight.

For decades, radio was just music, because talk radio did not exist, as it does today. The reasons is because of the fairness doctrine, which virtually made it illegal for a station to air one opinion only, usually to an area where that opinion is highest, thus going against the freedom of speech and the freedom of press. President Reagan changed that in the late 1980's, which gave talk radio new standing in the political spectrum, and has led to a Conservative medium - in a liberally biased media world.

If you follow Conservative talk radio as I do, you have heard of the big names ; Rush Limbaugh, Sena Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, Mark Levine, etc. Then you also know, out of the entire bunch of great talkers, that Michael Savage is not afraid to voice his opinion. Critics have launched attack after attack on Savage, each one has failed just like the one before it. Save is brutal honest truth telling Conservatives, he cares little of what anyone thinks of his opinion, that's why his audience keeps coming back.

Lets ask this question now, a Conservative talk show hosts giving his opinion against a jihadist planning attacks/calling for attacks in America & England, who is more of a threat to America, hell even England? According to England, that would be Conservative talk show host Michael Savage, who has never advocated for violence, overthrow of government, or any other act of disobedience against the law, has been banned from England.

England has called Savage an extremist, how about Rev. Wright who has advocated anti-American views for 20 years, except Wright does not fit into the Department of Homeland Security's right wing extremism report.

What will the price of limiting political/religious free speech have on America?

In conclusion, England has banned a Conservative because of his political beliefs & opinions, yet Americans have remained silent to attempts to regulate/limit political free speech on talk radio and on the Internet, lets also remind folks that so called "hate crimes" legislation going through Congress currently, we pretty much ban the laws of God of ever being taught.

Our first amendment, makes or breaks the Constitution & America, which side are you on?

0% of black Americans disapprove of Obama? Say what?

This is proven fact, all political polls & polling companies usually have a bias or an agenda to prove from their data, that is why except for a few polling companies you for the most part ignore polls. During the 2008 presidential election , and approval ratings since Obama took office - we have seen the blatant left wing bias in polls & the companies who conducted them.

We have also learned a great deal from polls, particularly Rasmussen Report sponsored polls, which have shown a realistic - 54-55/45-46 approval/disapproval of Obama's administration, not to mention most Americans disagree with him on a majority of issues & policy.

Polls can be described as the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The ugly in this case, comes from a CBS/New York Times opinion poll, which actually claims 0% of black Americans disapprove of Obama's job as President. Remember, 95% of black Americans voted for Obama, and near 5% voted for John McCain or other candidates instead of Obama, which proves he did not have universal black support, darn well near it.

To suggest 0% of the black American electorate disapproves of Obama is a down right lie, howabout RNC Chairman Michael Steele, former GOP Congressman J.C. Watts, columnists Thomas Sowell, Waleter E. Williams, Rev. Perrymand, and countless other Conservatives & Republicans who disapprove of Obama.

In conclusion, this frivolous claim should come as no surprise, to one reader of this article, because as proven over, and over again - the Main Stream Media (which represents the main stream of the media, and not America) is highly liberal, and will push this claim that Obama is universally loved, this propaganda is just another example of bias.

Some also claim that Conservatives are racists, that is not true, we believe that all Americans are equal, all protected under the law, all have the right to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happyness (freedom), but the fact can be proven that the true racists are in the Democrat party - the one's who brutally attack any Conservative who dare be black.

Think about it, look up black Conservatives, then look up the awful attacks on them by the supposed "tolerance liberals", you will be in for a hell of a surprise.

One more thing, if you actually believe anything or any poll from the New York Times, you have deep problems.
