It's About Time: Obama's Disapproval Reaches 50% at RCP
Real Clear Politics, who normally takes six or more nation-wide polls and averages them together, finally has President Obama at exactly 50.0% disapproval. His approval is at 44.7%, which is also the lowest it has been according to RCP.
CNN, Fox News, Quinnipiac, Gallup, Rassmussen, and USA Today polls each showed the President had more disapproval than approval. Only a Reuters poll had him breaking even at 48%-48%.

Majority of Voters Against Challenge of Arizona Immigration Law
The new illegal immigration laws in Arizona have driven a large amount of press since it was passed. Mis-informed detractors and the Main Stream Media have stated that police can simply approach random people and send them across the border.
In actuality, of course, probable cause must be found to even stop a person, then several simple steps are taken to access simple identification. If these things combine, then the person in question is checked out. Then, finally, if they are found to be illegally in the country, they are sent back.
A new poll shows that despite the bad press that the MSM and liberal activists have been peddling, 56% of Americans are opposed to the Administration's challenge of the law. Further, 58% of likely voters are in favor of similar legislation in their own state.
Major points:

58% of likely voters are in favor of similar legislation in their own state
67% believe that troops should be sent to the border to help secure it
Looks like, once again, President Obama is going against the wishes of Americans. I guess, despite his many blunders, he believes he knows best.

Dem Feingold in Statistical Dead-Heat with Republican
Incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold is facing fierce opposition from his Republican challenger Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, a new Rasmussen poll has revealed. The Senate race is in a statistical tie, with Feingold at 46% and Johnson at 45%. Accounting for the margin of error, the race is either in a tie or one candidate has a slight lead over the other.
Poll:
Russ Feingold (D)- 46%
Ron Johnson (R)- 45%
Minor Candidates- 3%
This race is particularly startling considering that President Barack Obama defeated John McCain handily by over 14%. Further, according to Rasmussen, the majority of Wisconsonians (51%) now disapprove of the job the President is doing.
With less than 50% of the vote and a down-year for Democrats, it looks like Russ Feingold could be in for a disappointing election.

Poll: Was Facebook Right in Removing the "Draw Muhammad Day" Group
May 20th was the so-called "Draw Muhammad Day." On Facebook, the original group that supported the day had over 100,000 followers before the site decided to eliminate it. Now I ask you, was Facebook right in doing this?

Djou widens lead in Hawaii.
Charles Djou is the man of the hour in Hawaii. When his Republican campaign was launched to replace the resigning Congressman Abercrombie, victory depended on local Republicans uniting around his campaign, and on local Democrats splitting the vote between their two leading candidates.
According to a new poll from Hawaii: Charles Djou is leading the Hawaii special election with 36 percent of the vote, his Democratic counterparts combine their total margins for 50 percent of the vote, and he leads his closest Democratic opponent by eight percentage points. Charles Djou is close to becoming the first federal Republican Representative from Hawaii in two decades.
79% of Republican voters, 42% of Independent voters and 19% of Democratic voters are supporting Charles Djou through Hawaii's unique "mail-in-ballot" special election format. Leaving him with a stronger coalition than he could have ever imagined when his campaign was launched. Victory is almost here and I'm sure Mr.Djou can taste it.
I'll be following this election closely over the next two weeks, and I ask that all registered voters in Hawaii's First Congressional District mail back your ballot in support of Charles Djou, a man who will represent your issues and concerns, not Washington's.

Castle Up 23% in Delaware
Current Congressman at large from Delaware, Mike Castle, is currently well ahead in the Senate race to succeed the former seat of Vice President Joe Biden. Castle, the former governor of the state, is leading Democrat Chris Coons. Not only is Castle leading, the deficit has grown by two percent.

Und 7 (-1)
So it looks like the GOP will pick up a seat held by the Dems for 30 years in a fairly blue state. Keep it coming.

Zogby: 71% Say No to Censoring South Park
According to a new Zogby poll, 71% of those asked stated that Comedy Central should not have censored last week's episode of South Park featuring a depiction of the Prophet Mohammed. Not only did the netowrk edit the image of Mohammed but also bleeped out his name and a speech about censorship. Talk about something out of Fahrenheit 451.

So according to this, 27% of Democrats support the decision to censor South Park instead of betraying 'sensibilities.' Although, to somewhat of their credit, 60% of Democrats oppose the censorship. Republicans are nearly unanimous against this attack on free speech in the name of political correctness.

A Wisconsin poll places incumbent Democratic Senator Russ Feingold as down by over ten points to former Governor Tommy Thompson. Thompson also served as a Cabinet member during the Bush Administration.

Obama "Bounce" Gone
Some disconcerting news if you're on the Obama side of the health care debate. Apparently the modest approval increase that the President enjoyed after the passage of the reform bill has dissipated and could spell worse news for the President.

Maybe this will wind up being a losing issue, after all.
The spike in President Obama's Gallup approval ratings seems to have disappeared. As health care reform moved toward its denouement, the President's approval briefly moved upward, from an upside-down 46%-48% in the March 15-17 sample, to a 50%-43% rating on the eve of the vote. It went as high as 51%-43% during the previous week. In today's report, however, the President splits 46%-46% in the poll of adults, tying the lowest approval rating of his Administration.

Obama Approval Down to 43%
Barack Obama is tied with his lowest approval rating yet, with his numbers dipping to 43% in a recent Rasmussen poll. Rasmussen is the most accurate of the major pollsters and successfully called both the 2004 and 2008 elections.
And to make matters worse, the number who strongly disapprove of Obama's performance are equal to the number that approve.

Forty-two percent (42%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 72% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, 17% Strongly Approve and 45% Strongly Disapprove. Fifty-seven percent (57%) believe that passage of the proposed health care legislation will hurt the economy. Just 25% believe it will help.
