Obama Running Out of Time on Iran

Iran has announced a major breaking of international laws and agreements with the disclosure of a second nuclear enrichment facility. This facility is too large for just civilian nuclear power and was hid from the West for years.

President Obama, British PM Brown, French President Sarkozy, and German Chancellor Merkel have all made strong statements condemning Iran's actions. However, it is yet to be seen what the West will do about this growing threat.

I recently wrote that the President's weak actions pertaining to Iran have placed us closer and closer to a crisis. And what will the United States do about it. From my September 1st article:

Things are quickly becoming more similar to the situation before the Iraq War in 2003. In 2002, President Bush demanded verification of the end of Saddam's WMD program. Flanked by Western nations, inspectors returned, but Saddam moved to delay any further action. President Obama is again supported by many nations in his attempt to verify Iran's nuclear suspension, but if he acts further, he may be more isolated, just as President Bush was in 2003.

Well, one thing's clear. We have to do something.

Canada to Iran: Stick It

Canada, who participated in the D-Day landings in Normandy in 1944 now has another great moment in foreign policy. Our northern neighbor, usually seen as restrained and friendly, has now adopted a stronger anti-Iran approach than the United States.

That's right-- Canada has informed its delegates to the United Nations to boycott Iranian "President" Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech today. All of the other nations except for Israel are expected to be here, but Canada is setting an excellent precedent for all of us to follow.

In other good news, Germany has stated that it will walk out of Ahmadinejad's speech if he again says that the Holocaust never happened. This is also a firm stance. Not as good as Canada, but good nonetheless.

Which brings us to America. Obama is planning to.... to....

Speak and have the US delegates listen to Ahmadinejad's speech.

Not to mention that Iran is building nuclear weapons.

Not to mention that Iran is threatening to destroy Israel.

Not to mention that Iran is killing American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Not to mention that Iran rigged its last election and killed dozens of protestors.

I guess it's okay with Obama.

On the Verge of a New Iran Crisis

Information is increasingly coming in that tension regarding Iran's nuclear program may be near a breaking point. Western powers have been attempting to negotiate an end to Iran's nuclear program for five years, with Iran building thousands of centrifuges.

Sources of the tension are varied. One of the smaller examples includes arms illegally en route to Iran from North Korea, seized by the UAE. This contravenes UN resolutions and is a material breach of international law.

In addition, Iran's nuclear program may be revealed to be larger and more expansive than previously believed. IAEA chief Mohammed El-Baradei (who won the Nobel prize for 'ending' Iran's nuclear program) was deliberately hiding information which stated that the Iranian military was also assisting the nuclear program. The United States, Britain, Holland, and Japan may assist in releasing this information.

Diplomatic pressure is building as more sanctions are being considered against the Iranian theocracy. France and Germany are now threatening Iran with stiffer economic punishments if it does not cooperate with international mandates regarding its nuclear reactors. This also comes as President Obama placed a September deadline for Iranian agreement.

This also comes as Iran is attempting to gain support for a ban on attacks on nuclear reactors. Over 100 non-aligned nations have already agreed to this in principle.

Feeling the heat, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, "elected" again in June in a horrible fraud, is expected to visit the United Nations on September 23, just eight days after a US deadline to open talks.

A top Iranian professor recently stated: "Iran won't recognize any unilaterally set deadline. "It is planning to give a set of proposals to solve outstanding issues in the near future."

Ahmadinejad: Let's Talk

Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was recently "re-elected" to a new four year term, is reaching out to the US leadership. According to an Iranian source, Ahmadinejad is calling for talks with president Obama.

"I will go to the United Nations and will invite Obama to negotiations," Ahmadinejad said, adding that such talks would be "in front of the international media, not a sit-down behind closed doors in order to talk about matters."

What does it mean if President Obama accepts this offer? In the diplomatic world it could be described as a shrewd move to try and halt the Iranian nuclear program. However, it seems more likely that this will be an overt yet unintentional legitimization of the Iranian theocracy. With Iran dangerously close to nuclear arms, any potential long-term talks could simply be a cover for the completion of a functional nuclear bomb. When Iran has such a a weapon, then it is possible that it will see itself as invincible, as North Korea currently does.

We may need to talk, but we also need to set a deadline. How about December 31st, 2009. If no significant progress is made, the EU will stop buying Iranian petroleum. That would get their attention.

Obama Quick to Condemn Overthrow of Wannabe Dictator, Students Still Waiting in Iran

President Barack Obama was swift to condemn the Constitutional and legal overthrow of a leader in a small, strategically unimportant country. This former leader of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, attempted to force a referendum on his country deemed illegal by the Honduran Supreme Court.

When Zelaya went forward with his threats, he was summarily removed by the military, as provided by the democratic Constitution. However, the President, who seems to becoming more and more astute on foreign policy, condemned the action. From BBC:

And [Obama] said a "terrible precedent" would be set if the coup were not reversed.

Earlier on Monday, speaking in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez spelled out his opposition to the situation in Honduras.

"We cannot allow a return to the past. We will not permit it," Mr Chavez said.

Meanwhile, in Iran, which holds the world's second-largest oil reserves, Obama has still to call on support on the 'democratically-elected' leader of that country. Instead, he is leaning towards recognition of Ayatollah Khamenei's dictatorship and his lapdog Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Students in Teheran are attempting to fight back against the oppressive theocracy, braving threats of death. President Obama has been very quiet on this subject, letting the students dangle.

I think we're in trouble.

Obama Rescinds Invitations to Iranian Diplomats, Vows He Will "Never Invite Them Over for a Slumber Party" Again

WASHINGTON- After days of being grilled over his open invitation to Iranian diplomats for July 4th celebrations, President Obama today withdrew his offer. At the same time, the President also stated that he was very "upset" at the Iranian government, and that he won't allow them over for that sleep-over party at Billy Mitchell's house this weekend either.

Robert Gibbs, speaking on the subject, tried to put the President's decision in perspective. "After it came out that the President had extended his hand to a tyrannical regime that represses freedom, he refused to withdraw his offer. However, when poll numbers came out that the public was outraged, he took back the invitation.

"But, I'll tell you what, the Iranians are going to miss out. Susie Robinson's supposed to be there too, and, like, all the kids in the neighborhood are going to be there. Iran's going to feel left out and jealous Monday at school."

The President himself also stated that Iran's iron fist has caused it to "miss out on staying up late, eating junk food, and watching movies."

Mahmud Ahmadinejad, the "President" of Iran, released a statement condemning the United States. Speaking through a translator, Ahmadinejad stated that "he didn't want to go anyway," and that he was "too cool for that party anyway."

"I don't like Billy Mitchell, anyway," he added.

The consequences of Obama's decision to disinvite Iran are yet to be fully gauged, but analysts project that Iran's popularity in James Polk Middle School will totally take a hit.

A Call to Obama: Stand Up for Iran

President Obama campaigned on the concepts of change and hope. There is nothing that Iran needs right now more than those two things. First off, Mir Mousavi is not a liberal democrat, but he is certainly better than Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Unfortunately, it appears that the clerics in the Islamic Republic have taken Obama's weakening stance regarding the Middle East as an opening to push forward with their jihadist agenda. Although Mousavi did not declare that he would end Iran's nuclear program, Ahmadinejad is determined to ramp it up. The Ayatollahs have sent terrorists to attack our soldiers and civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

President Obama's speech in Cairo made very clear that his administration is not willing to stand up for democratic processes in controversial regions. In fact, he stated that one form of government cannot be forced onto another. Perhaps we cannot even attempt to criticize the theocracy in Tehran for massive vote fraud, after all that's what 'they' want, so why force our beliefs on them? In addition, by backpedaling on the Iraq War and basically stating that the US will support dictators like in Egypt and Saudi Arabia just to keep 'stasis', we are looking at a fundamental betrayal of a pro-democracy policy.

So what can we do? Call out the mullahs on their false votes. Declare that the US 'cannot be responsible' for all of Israel's actions. Ahmadinejad's government will not receive recognition and new sanctions will be placed on the Islamic Republic.

Chicoine to Ahmadinejad: "Sit on It!"

In his long awaited speech at the Kennedy Center on Friday night, Joe Chicoine sent a pointed message to the theocratic government of Iran.

"My fellow citizens," Joe told the crowd of 12,000, "I live in the United States and am very blessed. I can air-guitar in my roommate's face or sit all day long on my computer, without staring or posting on my blog.

"However, in Iran, things are very different. There, people are not allowed to express themselves as they desire and in 2005, the government passed a law forcing all people to be force-fed gluten!

"Yeah, Iran may be building a nuclear bomb, but they have also called a jihad against people who are Democrats but voted for McCain. It's like they have it out for me. And my name is pronounced, Shi-coin, not Shi-cone, you Farsi-speaking bastards!

"So, Mr. Ahmadinejad, tear down this wall. Tear down this gluten and your funny beards. Tear down your flying carpets and your Mormon-like polygamy. Tear down your weird-sounding language. Tear down this wall of hate.

"Mr. Ahmadinejad, put simply, sit on it!"

At this point, everyone in the center erupted in raucous applause and gave Joe a 39-minute standing ovation. Many were crying, even including David Duke and Cindy "Bitchface" Sheehan.

Joe was lost in the crowd, taking flowers and signing autographs.

Obama to Nominate 'Apology Czar'

WASHINGTON- Following in line with appointing an internet czar, pay czar, and car czar, President Obama today announced his intentions to nominate a so-called 'apology czar.'

As with other czars, this nominee would be in direct contact with the President, making certain jobs easier. In this case, the apology czar would map out where Obama would go and what he would apologize for.

In a press release, the White House detailed specific responsibilities of this new post: "The man or woman accepted to this position would coordinate proactively with groups that deserve an apology from the United States. Each group can apply for an apology via email, letter, or text message.

"Any people, nation, or ethnic group will be thoroughly investigated to verify what America did to it and when. If it is found that our nation sufficiently hurt or by any means insulted the applicant, a structured attempt to apologize to them will be planned. Regardless of the matter, the President will always apologize in person."

"Things are looking good," said Greg Scott, a secretary for President Obama. "We've already had dozens of requests. I mean, we've got a request from North Korea, Nazis who survived World War II, and poor people who want more benefits."

Speaking to the media on Thursday, President Obama made his case for Henry Harrison, whom Obama plans to nominate. "Henry is clearly the best man for this job," the President began. "He can get on his knees and beg forgiveness. Seriously, he can gravel and kiss ass like the best of them, and that's exactly what we need.

"Can he apologize to Hugo Chavez? No problem. Can he apologize to Mahmud Ahmadinejad? With ease. Heck, Henry here is so good at apologizing, he can apologize to himself!" The crowd at hand erupted in laughter, but fell dead silent when it became apparent that the President wasn't joking.

The nominee is slated to come in front of Congress this coming July.

Obama to Give Taliban 'Recognition' for Cease-Fire

President Barack Obama of the United States of America is going to offer the Taliban fighters of Afghanistan and Pakistan a deal. This deal is to give them official recognition in exchange for the stopping of fighting.

Dr. Ali Jafaradze of Tehran University believes that this deal is meant to encircle Iran, "With American influence in Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan, they mean to crush our nation with American imperialist zeal."

According to the secret plan, which our spies intercepted on April 30, Obama plans to visit Karachi and meet with Mullah Omar, the leader of the Taliban. He will then offer the Taliban vast regions of Baluchistan in Iran so that the Taliban will stop attacking the American ally Pakistan.

Obama is afraid of the influence of Iran in the region. He is also afraid of our peaceful nuclear program, meant to spread cheap electricity to the entire Middle East, thus defusing American influence.

While in Karachi, Obama may meet with Osama bin Laden and coordinate attacks against Iranian targets. Members of the Mossad may also attend this top-secret meeting.

President Ahmadinejad says that he will not be intimidated by these reports.

Iran Purchasing 3,000 Ovens

The Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency is reporting that the Iranian government is spending up to $35 million in the next two years to purchase a new supply of ovens. These high-capacity ovens are believed to be part of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's blueprints for the "New Iran Project."

Under the plan, up to three thousand ovens will be purchased from various nations. While some are new and will be built in Russia, most are second-hand, purchased from Germany. These ovens have a maximum temperature of 8,000 degrees Fahrenheit and on average have a twenty-five square foot capacity.

The intended usage of these ovens are unknown as of yet, but the IRNA is reporting that they are vital to the future of the Middle East.

The United States has taken a reserved view of the purchases, with White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stating only, "We have no comment at this time."

With Iran facing a massive debt due to falling oil prices, the wisdom of buying over $30 million in ovens was criticized by reformist members of the Majlis. However, the government is going ahead with the purchase, stating that it is of the "utmost importance."

The ovens are slated to become operational on July 29, or the anniversary of the Twelfth Imam's birth.

Iran Reaches Out, Will Obama Follow Their Lead?

Iran has made clear that it is, in fact, open to discussion with the United States. They have shown that sometimes we can talk to our enemies. In fact, they have given us an option that President Obama may just take them up on:

But he coupled the offer with an attack on former President Bush, calling for him to be "tried and punished" for his policies and actions in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region.

And naturally, they want mutual respect, which we can take as the United States treating the Islamic Republic of Iran, a theocracy, as a dictatorship:

"It is clear that change should be fundamental, not tactical, and our people welcome real changes," he said. "Our nation is ready to hold talks based on mutual respect and in a fair atmosphere."

Does equality include them getting nuclear weapons and aircraft carriers? I guess we'll find out.
