Rasmussen Reports is showing President Obama's approval rating near its lowest level yet. Rasmussen tends to be the most accurate of the major pollsters due to its habit of polling likely voters rather than just the population at large. According to the news, it's not good for the White House. Back in June the numbers dipped to a 41-52% tick. Today it's not much better.
Approve: 42%
Disapprove: 56%
This also shows no substantive bounce from the Iraq speech. With the unemployment rate going back up expect the numbers to sag further, especially if Obama keeps wanting to change the focus.
