How America has Transformed.

What was one of the most successful cash crops of the Southern Plantations for years, decades, and centuries? Tobacco. And to be perfectly honest, Tobacco is still a major cash crop in the Southern United States, even in this century, and that's never going to change in this Nation. Unless, of course, the federal government outlaws smoking.

That would never happen! Right?

According to a new poll of 1,000 American Adults from Rasmussen Reports, a large percentage of voters actually support the Government outlawing the act of smoking Tobacco. Did I wake up in the Twilight Zone, does freedom not matter anymore; 26% of American Adults actually believe the Government should outlaw smoking!

Goodness!

I cannot wait until the federal government outlaws Tobacco - will see a national crime wave of Tobacco bootlegging. Instead of the likes of Al Capone, we'll have the likes of Southern Tobacco Farmers, struggling after the government shut them down. Is this what Americans want?

The Nannies want to take away Tobacco. What's next?

Oy Vey.

PS - This article was not the result of being bought off by the Tobacco Industry, though I wouldn't mind being bought off by Tobacco Farmers and would appreciate any offer that does become available to be sent to my email - aaaabraves@yahoo.com

North Korea really wants a War? Lets Fight!

Authors note - My inner War Hawk is out-of-control. A National enemy challenges the United States to a fight; we must act, and we must kick some serious Communist ass!

After it was discovered that North Korea was behind the sinking of a South Korean vessel, a few weeks ago, the United States and South Korea quickly condemned the North and promised pain (economic and otherwise). However, the North has responded with threatening War against the United States and South Korea.

My solution? If North Korea really wants a War, than lets give them a War.

(Warning to all Liberal readers: This evil Conservative is about to enter warmonger mode, brace yourselves)

For too long North Korea has threatened the United States with nuclear warheads, South Korea with constant invasion, and Japan with missile launches. I'm not sure what our gameplan was in 1955, but our enemies are still in North Korea, still threatening us, and now have the materials to completely obliterate us.

Something must be done.

I'm not a Military expert or strategist (though I hope to be one by this time next year), but if the combined forces of the United States Navy and the South Korean Army, with the occasional help from the Air Force (American or South Korean); I cannot imagine the North maintaining a strong defense for more than a week or two.

What about China? Some will ask.

The solution is rather easy (world economics would barely be touched by a War in North Korea, considering North Korea doesn't have an economy, and that our Troops are already there in the South); if our Chinese counterparts side with the North Koreans, than America should prohibit all products from China from entering our Nation during the War, and I'm sure the South Koreans would do likewise.

Even if for some unknown reason you don't like my war plan, please consider this: If the United States of America, and South Korea, toppled the North Korean regime, than millions of innocent oppressed souls would finally be able to taste freedom, and Korea would be one Nation (with the head of government in Seoul of course) again.

As I said before: If North Korea really wants a war, than lets give them a war.

It's time to stand for Freedom of Speech.

Over the past few weeks Matthew (founder of JIP) and Michael (leading contributor) have been dancing around the idea of this blog supporting the "Draw Mohammed Day" on May 20; when Conservative blogs will be posting pictures of the fabled Muslim prophet in response to death threats made towards South Park for their episode involving Mohammed.

This exhibition would be an exercise for the Freedom of Speech against radical Islamists who have threatened private citizens for exercising their Constitutional right to freedom of speech and the freedom of opinion.

Besides for a private email to Matthew about the subject, I have remained quiet on the topic, though unusual for me, I really have no say as to what the blog as a whole does, and I respect my position of opinionating more than anything. However, after reading Michael's article this morning on how Islamists are threatening to kill the group creator of the "Draw Mohammed Day" facebook page, I feel compelled to write the following:

It's time to stand for the Freedom of Speech and the Freedom of opinion. We can no longer allow religious fanatics to dictate our Constitutional rights; which include the right to offend someone with your personal opinion. I know that some peaceful Muslims might be offended by this anti-Islamo Fascism campaign, but I don't care - that's the beauty of America. They can call be an Christian bastard, and I call them an Islamic asshole. That's America! That's Freedom!

All Conservative bloggers who support the War on Terrorism, who support our Troops in our War against Islamo-Fascism, who support the Independent Nation of Israel, and who most importantly support Freedom of Speech, and Freedom of Opinion must join with one another in a united stand for Freedom. Draw a picture of Mohammed, and proclaim ourselves proud in our freedoms, and unafraid to express our opinions.

Obama's National security is a threat to Freedom

Most liberals believe that National Security is a threat to Freedom, when in reality - National Security, is the first & last defense for Freedom for the United States, and in most cases - the entire world. The National Security of America is above & beyond almost every other Nation on earth, only Israel rivals the American forces or intelligence.

We have to thank our great Servicemen, Generals, Commanders in Chief (some, not all), the Founding of this Nation, among other things.

We have defeated tyranny, fascism, terrorism, socialism, marxism, communism, radicalism, etc. over the timeline of 233 years as a Nation. We have become the Superpower of the world, not through force, but through our Constitution of Freedom. All we fight for & represent is Freedom.

That is sadly beginning to be destroyed by Emperor Obama.

When given the chance to stand strong for Freedom in Iran, he ignored them.
When given the chance to stand strong for Freedom & Constitution in Honduras, he supported the dictator.
When given the chance to stand strong for American values overseas on numerous trips, he called us arrogant.

Obama has also ignored the grave threat of North Korea & an Iranian nuclear program - which he actually gave his blessing to. He has cut our Defense budget, and is specifically targeting "Missle Defense" & the F-22 fighterjets, I guess an AirForce is no longer needed? He is putting us at risk by wanting to allow terrorists free in America, and has sent them to various Nations with bribes, when we could just keep them at Gitmo........for a cheaper cost, and a lower threat of another attack against America.

Worst of all, Obama has destroyed our alliance with Israel, and has even ignored the British.

Now, Obama is meeting with the Russians, attempting to reach another "nuclear arms" treaty of some sort, which could include the absolute elimination of all American nukes. That would be a travesty, as America should always have nuclear weapons - because we are the force of good, it is the forces of evil that must have no nuclear devices.

When faced with the threat that the Senate would not approve this treaty, it is being reported - they want to go over the head of the Constitution.

Obama's National Security is appeasement, it is weakening our Military, it is weakening our alliances with the forces of good in the world, it is ignoring dangerous threats, and directly standing for dictators............it is a threat to Americas Freedom.

Obama Discusses Americans' Responsibility: Follow the Government, Pay Taxes, and Love Liberty

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fort Belvoir, Virginia- In a press conference after his annual golf game on Memorial Day, President Barack Obama took a minute to reflect on the significance of the United States.

"I stand here before you, a young President in an age of violence, turmoil, and recession. What the next year holds, I cannot say. What tomorrow will bring, I cannot know. But I know this: every American has a responsibility to help his fellow man.

"When you look around, we see people without healthcare, families without food, men and women without jobs. Now, I ask you this: what is our responsibility to these people, the less fortunate who live in our country? The answer is not clear, but the feelings are.

"Our commitment is to help those in need. We must take this obligation not with pain or malice, but with zeal. We must restructure healthcare and make it available to all. And we must pay our taxes so that those without jobs can receive the money they need. We must love one another like we love our family, and we must allow the government to have the power to help those in need.

"In our country, the government is the only structure that can rebuild our economy and help the needy. What other organization can earn public trust, use money to its fullest extent, and give people jobs? But the most important point of the government is trust. We all must trust the government to do the right thing, and most importantly, you all must trust me. I can help everyone; all I need is your trust, loyalty, and taxes. That's all I ask.

"But importantly in this time of upheaval, I ask that you put your trust in the government and what it can do. Let the government rebuild the country, let us help each other, and let us lower crime. Yet remember, regardless of what the government does, we will always protect your liberty. That is what the government is here to do; protect freedom.

"The Obama Administration will always be here to protect your freedom, you have my promise," President Obama concluded.

The President then declined to take questions, and left to loud applause from the Press.

Another Step of Progress as Iraq Votes

Iraq held its fourth round of voting since its 2003 liberation. The majority of provinces held local elections and turnout was heavy. Violence, however, was not. This continues the upward trend that Iraq has been traveling on since early 2007.

Hopefully the trend continues and Iraq succeeds. I'm hoping for it.

Still, thousands of women, including many in conservative tribal areas, cast ballots, many for the first time. Voters brought their families to participate in only the second elections since the fall of President Saddam Hussein and by far the most open and competitive. More than 14,000 candidates contested for 440 seats to lead influential local councils, the equivalent of state legislatures in the United States.

"I am so happy," Raad al-Shimari, 30, declared in the Kadhamiyah neighborhood of Baghdad, flashing a forefinger stained with purple ink indicating he had just voted. "I chose the person that will represent me."

After the polls closed Saturday evening, U.N. and Iraqi officials declared the elections -- one of the most heavily monitored by independent observers in recent Middle Eastern history -- as transparent and credible. "This is a good day for Iraq's democracy," said Staffan de Mistura, the top U.N. official in Iraq.

Kosovo Launches Military

The newest independent state in the world, Kosovo, has officially launched a security force. This force, the Kosovo Security Force, will be responsible for security in the small nation.

The new security force is made up of 2,500 civilians and paramilitaries, along with about 800 reservists.

The commander of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) is General Sylejman Selimi. He says the creation of the force represents the beginning of a new phase in Kosovo.
Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci stresses that the FSK is being trained by NATO and that it includes members of all ethnic groups in Kosovo -- mainly ethnic Albanians and Serbs.

"I will be a multiethnic force in the service of the country and all of its citizens," Thaci said. "It will have the full support of the international community and it will work in accordance with Kosovo's constitution and NATO standards."
The FSK replaces the Kosovo Protection Corps. That fledgling security force also was a multiethnic force. But it comprised mostly former members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the separatist guerrilla group that had fought against Serbia for independence during the 1990s.

Fighting for the Constitution.

A few weeks ago, I wrote on Jumping In Pools about a Congressman from California, who said she was in favor of re-instating the nisnamed "fairness doctrine" which if anything, silences more people, so I wrote this Congressman an email, and I got a very disturbing letter back, she was actually advocating for stricter laws by the F.C.C on radio stations, and a localism brand of the fairnes doctrine. Localism is where they can claim that a radio station is not airing enough local voices or public outreach programs (since when does the government have the damn authority to tell the FREE PRESS what to have on their shows?), and threaten to take away their license of fine them.

This is wrong on so many angles, especially with the Constitution, which is the highest authority in the land as to American founding documents, the First Amendment states as followed
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

A fairness doctrine would violate the freedom of speech & the freedom of the press, this is Un-constitutional.

Joseph Farah of World Net Daily, wrote about the fairness doctrine today, which included some reference to Ronald Reagan, and why he lifted the fairness doctrine in 1987.

I'll give you hint, because it was and is the right thing to do.

Quote of the Day-- January 6, 2009

A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.

-- John F. Kennedy
