Whoever came up with the above pictured billboard should be ashamed of themselves! Obama might be a big government socialist who hates business and success, but he is not Nazi Hitler or Soviet Lenin, and last I checked - Hitler's and Lenin's regimes killed about 100 million innocent people across Eastern Europe.

Barack Obama - 0 murders committed. o murders planned.

And here we go again. I love how in order to deflect from the already big disaster we hasten to create a bigger story. We all know that someone is going to be used as a scapegoat, Obama will come out looking like a God, the feds will perform another thankless task, and America will wonder why. Granted there are individuals and groups that are at fault here, especially for the slo-mo style clean up. This should be a red flag to everyone saying that something is not right. If there is money to made someone is doing it, and profiting from the disaster. And who gets a peice of the money people are making? Not us. Most likely a select few people in political office, probably including the most powerful American leader and self described messiah, Obama. Just a thought

Obama's National security is a threat to Freedom

Most liberals believe that National Security is a threat to Freedom, when in reality - National Security, is the first & last defense for Freedom for the United States, and in most cases - the entire world. The National Security of America is above & beyond almost every other Nation on earth, only Israel rivals the American forces or intelligence.

We have to thank our great Servicemen, Generals, Commanders in Chief (some, not all), the Founding of this Nation, among other things.

We have defeated tyranny, fascism, terrorism, socialism, marxism, communism, radicalism, etc. over the timeline of 233 years as a Nation. We have become the Superpower of the world, not through force, but through our Constitution of Freedom. All we fight for & represent is Freedom.

That is sadly beginning to be destroyed by Emperor Obama.

When given the chance to stand strong for Freedom in Iran, he ignored them.
When given the chance to stand strong for Freedom & Constitution in Honduras, he supported the dictator.
When given the chance to stand strong for American values overseas on numerous trips, he called us arrogant.

Obama has also ignored the grave threat of North Korea & an Iranian nuclear program - which he actually gave his blessing to. He has cut our Defense budget, and is specifically targeting "Missle Defense" & the F-22 fighterjets, I guess an AirForce is no longer needed? He is putting us at risk by wanting to allow terrorists free in America, and has sent them to various Nations with bribes, when we could just keep them at Gitmo........for a cheaper cost, and a lower threat of another attack against America.

Worst of all, Obama has destroyed our alliance with Israel, and has even ignored the British.

Now, Obama is meeting with the Russians, attempting to reach another "nuclear arms" treaty of some sort, which could include the absolute elimination of all American nukes. That would be a travesty, as America should always have nuclear weapons - because we are the force of good, it is the forces of evil that must have no nuclear devices.

When faced with the threat that the Senate would not approve this treaty, it is being reported - they want to go over the head of the Constitution.

Obama's National Security is appeasement, it is weakening our Military, it is weakening our alliances with the forces of good in the world, it is ignoring dangerous threats, and directly standing for dictators............it is a threat to Americas Freedom.

Obama so popular? Not really.

Rasmussen polls are the most accurate in nearly every survey I see them release, but today I will be focusing on Gallup.

Gallup reports Obama has a 56% approval rating among Americans, although they attempt to portray him as popular. However, as Judith Kinghoffer displays at History News Network, Obama's approval ratings are actually below average for most of our past Presidents:

Obama - 56%
Bush #43 - 62%
Clinton - 55% (only President that does worse than Obama).
Bush #41 - 58%
Reagan - 67%
Carter - 63%
Ford - no numbers, he was never elected.
Nixon - 61%.

Hmm, interesting? May I also add, that all of these poll results are from past Gallup polls.

Could it be, that the media is covering for Obama at his every call? Yes, I believe that is the case.

Tampa, Florida- In a show of change from the norm, Ben Roethlisberger, the Quarter Back of the Super Bowl champions Steelers, gave his thanks directly to the President.

"I'd like to thank my mom and dad and God," Roethlisberger said. "But I can't forget our new President Barack Obama; he showed the country that we can achieve anything. Thank you, this victory was because of you too." When asked his feelings on John McCain, Roethlisberger asked, "Who?"

The Pittsburgh Steelers, who won Super Bowl XLIII 27-23, defeated the Arizona Cardinals in a last minute drive that ended in a Steelers touchdown. "This all is like a dream," said Wide Receiver Hines Ward. When asked about Roethlisberger's comments, Ward responded that "Ben is an excitable guy, but he says what he believes."

Asked after the game about his feelings on the game, Arizona's QB Kurt Warner said, "The game doesn't matter. I just thank God that I am able to do what I love and love what I do. Ben and the Steelers are a great team, and they were just better than us today."

"I'm just sorry we let John McCain down," Warner said, jogging towards the Cardinal's locker room. -Bugle Examiner

How Much Did Palin Actually Help Chambliss?

As just about everyone in the United States knows by now, Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) won his Senate race, defeating the Democrats' hope for a 60-seat filibuster-proof supermajority. And one of the repeated themes of the analysis is the Chambliss won so easily thanks to the help of one Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska. Chambliss himself said :

"Sarah Palin came in on the last day, did a fly-around and, man, she was dynamite. We packed the houses everywhere we went. And it really did allow us to peak and get our base fired up," Chambliss said.

"I mean, I can't overstate the impact she had down here," he continued. "When she walks in a room, folks just explode. And they really did pack the house everywhere we went. She's a dynamic lady, a great administrator, and I think she's got a great future in the Republican Party."

But it doesn't seem like she was the make-or-break. Obviously she helped Chambliss get out the Conservative Christian base, but something about the numbers doesn't show a massive surge. Chambliss won last night's race by a hearty 14%. However, on November 4, he only led by three.

Now, Georgia is one of the redder states in the Union, so did Palin really push him over the top? Instead, it looks like it wasn't the person who was there, but it was the person who wasn't there that made a difference. It appears that since Obama wasn't on the ballot, many Democrats didn't see the purpose in going out to vote:

Martin appeared to suffer mightily from a lack of African-American turnout, which dropped from 30 percent of early votes four weeks ago to around 20 percent in the runoff.

For Republicans and strategists that think that the GOP can take the Congress back anytime soon cannot underestimate the celebrity and gravity of the President-Elect. He can push people out to vote that wouldn't do so anyway, and can even rope in some Independents and Republicans to boot. He was probably good for 8% of the difference on November 4. The Democrats have a strong down-ticket leader now. College kids and the like are less likely to pay attention to other officeseekers, just as long as they have the valuable "D" next to their name.

So is Sarah Palin the savior of the GOP? Obviously she got at least some of the vote out for Senator Chambliss. However, she was insignificant compared to President-Elect Obama.

Obama's Starting to Sound Better

I don't know if anyone's been following the news lately, but Barack Obama has become a true politician. Many questioned his experience, but since he was elected, he has learned to disregard his promises and do what he-- or his advisors want to do.

Well, Obama got a lot of notice early in the primaries as an eloquent firebrand against the Iraq War. Now with the war being won and all, it sounds like he's changing his tune. That or he's confused. In any case, it's a real change from almost two years of campaigning. At this rate, he'll ask for American troops in Iraq for 101 years.

And I know that a lot of neo-cons also fantasized over Obama now appear to be believing in change even more. Heck, even Karl Rove is giving his praise to the President-Elect:

On the Wall Street Journal free market right they are seeing, in his economic team, the possibility that he is really as safe to capitalism as a banker. Karl Rove has concluded that "Mr. Obama's economic team was reassuring. He's generally surrounded himself with intelligent, mainstream advisers."

So-- it sounds like Obama's abandoning parts of his tax plan and appears to be bringing around a third term of George W. Bush!


Obama puts Hillary in State, keeps Gates on at the Pentagon. Gee, how long until Obama announces he's hired Bush as an "Assistant President."

Sheesh. I thought we were getting change. Those Obama voters might as well have written in Bush's name.

But a third term of George W. Bush isn't the worst thing in the world.

Continuity we can believe in!

Hillary for State: A Wise and Smart Move

If the reports are true, President-Elect Obama has pulled off a very wise and shrewd move by placing Hillary Clinton in the State Department.

Smart because:
* Hillary has a fairly good knowledge of world affairs and has traveled extensively.
* Hillary was a part of her husband's presidency and was there when important foreign policy decisions were made.
* Hillary has served on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and has built knowledge on American forces deployed overseas.
* Hillary is hawkish on foreign affairs.

Shrewd because:
* Hillary is removed as the de facto leader of the Democrats in the Senate.
* Hillary is no longer an elected official.
* When Hillary will be mentioned, she will be a subordinate to Obama.
* If Obama fires Hillary for any reason, he can blame it on "incompetence" and ruin her reputation.
* Hillary will not have a hand in ground-breaking legislation.
* Hillary will not be able to push her signature issue, health care.
* Obama will appear to be reaching out.

John McCain's Legacy

It may be a bit early to write about what we're all going to think of John McCain, but I think that I have a bit of the picture.

McCain will be remembered as the one Republican that many Democrats said that they'd vote for. Some did (Joe C.) and far more decided that party actually did matter more than policy or character.

McCain was remembered as the guy sunk by Karl Rove's tactics. However, for some reason folks in the media decried his attacks on Barack Obama as the same as Rove's, even though McCain's were factually based.

McCain not only believed in the righteousness of the Iraq War, but was willing to allow two of his sons to join the military. This, and McCain himself visited eight times, building a solid relationship with Nouri al-Maliki and the Iraqi government. Many times McCain said that he would rather win a war than a political campaign. By touting the successful surge strategy, the Iraq war is won. If the war was on the front pages, foreign policy would have been a bigger issue, and Obama's inexperience and naiveté would have shown even brighter. Instead, McCain put the country first, and pioneered the strategy that is saving lives.

McCain was everything people said they wanted in a President. He was affable, grouchy when he needed to be, bipartisan, a war hero, and experienced. He stood up to his own party when he needed to and foreign tyrants when others wouldn't.

John McCain is a hero that comes along once a generation. He will be remembered as such.

But we wanted Change at any cost.

Where Are We Getting All This Money?

We're going to have spent in the neighborhood of $8 trillion over the course of 2008-2009, notwithstanding any unpredicted actions. About $6 trillion of this will be our budget, already bloated and filled with pork as it is.

We spent $150 billion on a stimulus plan earlier this year, spent $700 billion on the real estate bailout and are considering $25 billion for the Big Three. We're looking at a major recession and the deficit growing on its own.

Now we have word of a new stimulus plan that may reach $700 billion more? In addition, Obama may not repeal Bush's tax cuts? So where's the extra revenue coming from.... some of this doesn't seem kosher.

Change, Thy Name is Not Obama

President-Elect Obama's economic adviser, William Daley, said that the Obama administration might "reconsider" increasing taxes on the wealthy. This makes me think, more than worry, about the campaign promises President-Elect Obama has already broken, or is getting ready, to break. Let's see:

1) Well, this one is obvious, taxes on the wealthy.

2) Uniting the country behind a bipartisan Cabinet. As the New York Times writes, "Nearly three weeks after his election, he is testing voters’ understanding of that assertion as he assembles a government whose early selections lean heavily on veterans of the political era he ran to supplant."

3) Has anyone heard about massive troops withdrawals from Iraq, because I haven't.

4) Changing President Bush's economic strategy as a whole. Like Bush, Obama supports giving big checks to big companies.

More will probably follow. Just to point out, however, I am not judging Obama on the merit of his current or previous opinions, but the fact that he has changed what he promised.

When Did Rumsfeld Get Respect Back?

The NYT is once again showing its age and naiveté. A guest column was written about the prospect of additional troops to Afghanistan by none other than Donald Rumsfeld.

Now, I like Rumsfeld personally and think that he had good ideas about being Secretary of Defense--when he did it under Gerald Ford. However, Rumsfeld's ideas about fighting counterinsurgency shouldn't be taken too highly. Rumsfeld's brash style is a positive in my book, but in this case his opinion isn't really welcomed.

With Obama talking bipartisanship and gaining a strange amount of Republican support, then maybe he can give Rumsfeld his third go-around as Secretary of Defense. I wouldn't be all that surprised.

Hillary Will Not be Secretary of State

I know that predictions have a way of being wrong sometimes, but it doesn't seem likely that Hillary Clinton will be the next Secretary of State.

She's aiming for the Supreme Court, if nothing else, during Obama's presidency. If Obama gives her the Secretary of State position, then she is out of the national scene. No landmark court cases on the Court and no major bills if she's in the Senate.

Of course she'll be on a lot of high-profile trips, but she'd get more attention as one of her party's leaders in the Senate. And another angle: if there's a problem in foreign policy, she's the Secretary of State. It could be her fault for angering the Iranians or getting the North Koreans to start their nuclear weapons program again. Obama can play that against any of her future ambitions.

I can see why Obama may want her to be Secretary. But I don't see why she'd take it.

Obama is Better than Lincoln

I know that Barack Obama hasn't even taken office yet, but I need to make sure that I get something off of my chest.

Barack Obama is already the greatest President in United States history.

Think I'm crazy? Read these reasons why and you'll agree that I'm right.

* It took Abraham Lincoln two years to free the slaves. Obama is already freeing all of our minds. Which is a greater accomplishment.
*Lincoln and Roosevelt had the Civil War and WWII drag on for four years. Obama hasn't even taken office and the Iraq War is ending. Not to mention the fact that Iran will soon become our strongest ally.
*Obama has declared himself a transformational figure. There is no domestic opposition to him or his policies.
*Obama already has a holiday after himself.
*Obama is also a religious figure, doubling his potential power.
*The recession is over and peace and prosperity has come to the land.

Mike Huckabee is So Cool

I don't know if anyone's heard about former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee's upcoming book. Called Do The Right Thing: Inside the Movement That's Bringing Common Sense Back to America, it will arrive on bookshelves Tuesday.

According to Time, Huckabee will not mince words about topics, particularly former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. The Huckster lambastes Romney for making believe he was a conservative during the primary season. I happen to agree with this. Romney was a moderate-to-liberal Republican governor. It's this type of Republicanism that appeals to me and the fact that Romney changed so much so quickly just appears phony to me.

Huckabee also makes a good point about the media bias over the "cross in the window ad:"

Why, he asks, was a "floating cross" in the window of one of his ads such a media controversy, while reporters gave a pass to a Barack Obama direct mail piece that obviously photographed the Democrat before a large Christian cross?

This makes a lot of sense to me as a secularist that a major candidate runs draped in the church but is not challenged. Even a hint from a Republican of religiosity is attacked and frowned upon.

I might actually go out and buy the book, if only as a gift for my mother.

In closing, Huckabee had a few words on John McCain: "a true statesman and a man of honor."

In Defense of Obama

Now, I didn't vote for Obama. I didn't want him to become the next President. The chances of my voting for him are relatively low. However, he will be my President.

And I'm reading such terrible things as this: that people are threatening the President-Elect? Now you can say you won't vote for someone, but this is ridiculous. To threaten a man's life who hasn't done anything to hurt people is horrific. Keep in mind that he has two young children. I know I've been critical of the man, but to go from civil discourse to threatening violence is exactly what America isn't.

In addition, there's talk of an Obama dictatorship? Please... if the guy has despotic plans, he has yet to expose them. When he bans guns... okay, he might want to be crowned emperor.

I hope that Republicans do not fall prey to simplistic hatred. This is the exact thing which has stonewalled and damaged President Bush. This blind hatred, combined with stupidity has led to inane statements like, "There were no WMDs" and how things were better under our handsome friend Saddam.

So let Obama take office before becoming too critical. And thoughts of violence are not only unfounded, but irrational.

Shock as Obama Declares Dinars American Currency

A visible pall was over the White House as President Obama announced that the American dollar was the currency of the past. During a press conference, the President announced that the United States dollar was going to be phased out and the Iraqi Dinar would become the official currency.

"The way I look at it is this," the President said, "We, uh, really, uh, destroyed the country of Iran-- Iraq, and we need to make it up to them. And, uh, by using their currency, we can, uh, begin the process of healing."

Reporters from MSNBC called the decision "heroic" and "long overdue." Reporter Bret Baier from FoxNews asked President Obama if the American people would accept his decision.

"One thing, Fox," the President responded, "Is that the American people gave me a clear mandate over that old guy. You, uh, sometimes have to be bold and contiguous."

When asked why he used the word contiguous in his statement, the President asked that Baier be escorted from the room.

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan explained later in a written statement, "The Iraqi Dinar was once worth over three dollars. It is unlikely that the dollar would be worth three dollars. In fact, it is only too often that I had to exchange three dollars for one dollar at the grocery mart."

The Dinar is expected to become popular in places such as Massachusetts and Manhattan. Parts of California already use the Iranian Rial as official currency.

"This is a great day." said San Francisco resident Destiny Rainfall, "Hopefully there will be the day when we will not need to use money. Someday." Rainfall then got on her high horse. It is unknown if she will ever get down.

So Has the Right Wing Conspiracy Ended?

So, now that Barack Obama has won the White House and the Dems almost have sixty seats in the Senate, does that mean that the vast, right-wing conspiracy has finally ended?

It was about a decade ago that Hillary Clinton said that phrase on the Today show, so let's look at all of the things that should disappear due to the Obama victory:

1. No more 9/11 Truth stupidity
2. No more 'No WMD' stupidity
3. Any more impeachment talk?
4. Wait, I thought Bush was going to name himself President for Life?
5. Cheney's not ruling anymore (I guess)
6. Troops out now-- oh, Obama's not doing that?
7. Just the rest of your run-of-the mill slabber, as Father McQuarters would say.
