Well, I am not big fans of Senators Specter, Snowe, and Collins - mainly for their votes for the stimulus package, and other fiscally idiotic votes in the past, and because they are usually voting against the republican party and the Conservative movement. I am not surprised by Specters departure to the Democrat party, and perhaps it will open the door to a much better Senator in Congressman Toomey who is the GOP candidate as of now.
Specter will not be missed, mainly because he was going to vote with Democrats on key issues anyway, better him be represented by his true colors then having the Republican shirt on, just my opinion.
I will have a full article on the subject tomorrow, and regardless of what the Main Stream Media says - this will help the Republican party more then it will hurt.

Isn't there any way to recall Specter? I guess I was thinking that since he is no longer what his constituents voted for, why should he continue be allowed to represent them? Recall him and replace him with an actual Republican. Could solve a couple of problems - maintain the seat in the Senate and retire someone that is well past his sell-by date.
