Brewer Now Ahead by 22 in AZ Gov Race

A lot was made of Governor Brewer's gaffe during her debate last week-- it even made it to the front page of Yahoo and Failblog. However, it appears that she is on the way to victory, despite all of the negative press and anger thrown her way.

AZ Governor
Brewer * (R): 60%
Goddard (D): 38%
Other/und: 2%
* Denotes incumbent

This poll is from Rasmussen, the most accurate of the major pollsters. After the immigration bill was passed there was talk of a great coalition rising to challenge Brewer-- so many disaffected anti-Brewer voters that it could tip the scales in the McCain Senate race. Instead, these voters never seemed to materialize and Republicans and independents have joined up to support her.

Keep in mind that this poll was done after the debate. The support for Goddard is just not happening. This even comes after AZ is more and has more Latino voters. Brewer's approval rate is also at 64%.

Brewer Opens Solid Lead in AZ Governor's Race

Jan Brewer's political future seemed murky just six months ago. She was not elected to the office and there was talk about a challenge against her from the Republican Party. Now she appears almost inevitable to win another term in Arizona.

Brewer * (R): 57%
Goddard (D): 38%
Other/und: 5%
* Denotes incumbent

The poll is from Rasmussen, and as I always write, it is the most accurate national pollster. It appears that not only is Brewer's support growing but Goddard's is weakening. The low number of undecideds certainly does not help Goddard, who could win all of them and still get crushed. Turnout might be high on both sides-- as should be expected with such a contentious issue as immigration involved in a border state.

Arizona supports McCain by 22%.

Conservatives and Republicans alike agreed on one thing Tuesday night: Senator John McCain was heading to the United States Senate for his fifth and likely last term. This afternoon, Rasmussen Reports confirmed what I and most GOP politicos expected in a new poll of 500 likely Arizona voters.

Sen. John McCain (R) - 53%.
Rodney Glassman (D) - 31%.
Some other candidate - 10%.
Unknown/not sure - 6%.

McCain's poll numbers remain unchanged from a Rasmussen poll that was released last month, even though a raucous Republican Primary between the four term Senator and former Congressman J.D. Hayworth concluded in a McCain landslide on Tuesday. 82% of Arizona Republican's support the reelection of Senator McCain this November.

Any thoughts on how much McCain will eventually win by?

Hayworth Won't Concede

This might seem a little out of place, but alas it's true. Senator John McCain destroyed former Congressman JD Hayworth in Tuesday's primaries, yet it appears that Hayworth still will not concede the race. The race was particularly long and nasty, with both sides injecting personal barbs. However, this appears to be one of the weirder parts of the fight.
Sanders told POLITICO Hayworth had no plans of calling McCain. A message seeking an explanation on why was not immediately returned.
According to the article Hayworth would not concede after he lost the 2006 race to a Democrat. So do you believe that Hayworth should or will concede? What would you do in this situation?

Primary Mania Predictions - August 24, 2010.

For the latest results, please visit our other Primary Mania article.

Today is Primary Mania in the United States of America, especially in Republican precincts, and as such, I decided to compile a list of the more interesting battles that are unfolding across the United States today, and offer my personal predictions. Please feel free to comment, and if you reside in any of the Primary states - Alaska, Arizona, and Florida - please get out there and vote.

Alaska's Senatorial Republican Primary

Senator Lisa Murkowski will defeat Joe Miller, who is backed by Sarah Palin and Tea Party groups by a 60-40% margin. Closer than expected, but a Murkowski win nonetheless, and a clear case of Palin backstabbing (she originally supported Murkowski last year).

Arizona's Senatorial Republican Primary

Senator John McCain will defeat Congressman JD Hayworth by a 70-25% margin, with a third lesser known candidate receiving the rest. Both have received the endorsement of Conservative individuals and organizations in Arizona, but Tea Partiers have mostly stayed out of the Primary.

Arizona's 3rd Congressional Repblican Primary

Will the Republican voters of Arizona's 3rd congressional district support attorney Ben Quayle, State Senator Pamela Gorman, or Paradise Valley Mayor, Vernon Parker? I personally have no idea who will win today, but I'm doubtful it will be the son of Vice-President Quayle, as a sex scandal has embroiled his campaign.

Florida's Gubernatorial Republican Primary

This Primary battle is nasty. Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum and Businessman Rick Scott have been tearing at one-another for the past few weeks via television advertisements. I support the Attorney General due to his very conservative record, and according to a recent poll of close to 800 Republicans: 39% (a plurality) of GOP voters do as well. But this race is up in the air.

Any thoughts?

McCain May Destroy Hayworth on Tuesday

Tuesday will mark the end to one of the most drawn out and publicized races in the country this year. Former Congressman JD Hayworth has challenged incumbent Senator John McCain for the Arizona Senate seat. Hayworth pulled close with some polls showing him just 5-7% behind. Hayworth also flooded the media and internet with advertising and interviews. Hayworth is predicting a big win, but polling shows McCain winning easily:

McCain*: 64%
Hayworth: 19
Und/other: 17%
* Denotes incumbent

Even if all of the undecided and Deakin voters swing to Hayworth he still loses almost 2-1. Hayworth is a fool and has been since he launched his campaign. Voters took a serious look at him and fled him quicker than the supposed "RINO" McCain.

Hayworth trails Democrat opponent in Arizona.

Supporters of Senator John McCain often tout his fiscal discipline, his record on National Defense and our Troops, and his common Conservatism that has led to a 81% rating from the ACU. But, I have a feeling that McCainiacs will soon be adding Only McCain Can Win Arizona in their touted reasons.

According to a new poll from Ramussen Reports, Senator John McCain is leading his potential Democratic opponent by close to 20%. However, McCain's Republican foe, JD Hayworth, trails their common Democratic opponent by 5%, and close to 30% of pro-McCain voters obviously will not support Hayworth if he is the eventual Republican Nominee (at least for now).

Rasmussen Reports Survey of 500 Likely Voters:

Sen. John McCain (R) - 53%.
Rodney Glassman (D) - 34%.
Some other candidate - 11%.
Not Sure - 3%.

Rodney Glassman (D) - 43%.
Rep. JD Hayworth (R) - 38%.
Some other candidate - 13%.
Not Sure - 6%.

This poll is shocking. I have always figured that if Hayworth were to beat McCain, that at least the Senate seat would remain in Republican hands and that we would have a National Defense supporter oncemore. That last part now means nothing, because Hayworth cannot win, McCain can, and only McCain will.

What's your choice: Victory or Defeat?

BREAKING: Fed Judge Blocks AZ Law

From all over the wires comes the news that a Federal Judge has issued an injunction blocking the enforcement of the strict Arizona Immigration law.

An excerpt from the article:

The overall law will still take effect Thursday, but without the provisions that angered opponents — including sections that required officers to check a person's immigration status while enforcing other laws.
The judge also put on hold parts of the law that required immigrants to carry their papers at all times, and made it illegal for undocumented workers to solicit employment in public places. In addition, the judge blocked officers from making warrantless arrests of suspected illegal immigrants.
"Requiring Arizona law enforcement officials and agencies to determine the immigration status of every person who is arrested burdens lawfully-present aliens because their liberty will be restricted while their status is checked," U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton ruled.

Memo to News World: Hispanics do Support Arizona's Law.

Ever since Arizona's tough anti-illegal alien law was passed, our ideological counterparts have constantly banged the "race drum", the "racial profiling drum", and the "Hispanics are afraid drum" - all three are failures, the American public still supports the law, and members of the Media World are still ignoring a pesky fact: Hispanics do support the law........

......At least 46% of San Diego's 26% Hispanic population support Arizona's law, but absolutely no-one has decided to pick up on that SurveyUSA poll that is quite damning to our opponents absurd train of thought that all Hispanics, or even a majority in some places, side with illegals aliens, and against the rule of law.

I find it insulting that a Conservative blogger who makes $25 dollars every other month (me) can understand the significance of this earth shattering story, but highly paid Researchers for every television, radio, and newspaper staff cannot even find this story on the Internet, except for Jumping in Pools.

That's pathetic and a shame in my opinion.

The News World has just one job in this World, and that's reporting the news. If you would like to know more than every, single media outlet in America (regardless of affiliation) on Hispanic support of Arizona's new anti-illegal alien law, please click here.

Also, please email everyone about this story.

McCain Opens "Devastating" Lead Over Hayworth

An Arizona-based poll is showing that incumbent Senator John McCain has opened what has been described as a "devastating" lead over challenger and former Congressman JD Hayworth. After Hayworth reportedly got within five percent of McCain, his challenge has stalled and moved backwards. This poll does include both Republicans and GOP-leaning independents, who can vote in the August primary.

McCain: 64%
Hayworth: 19%
Jim Deakan: 5%

McCain Lead: 35%

Time has come for Hayworth to pack his bags and go back to doing infomercials. McCain is here to stay, as he should. Say what you want, McCain is the most fiscally responsible, foreign policy expert in the Senate today, period. To get rid of him for a corrupt hack like Hayworth is ideologically, politically, and practically insane.

74% Back AZ Law or Think It's Too Weak

That's right. 17% of this country believes that the new law in Arizona does not go far enough to solve the illegal immigration problem in the country. Support is running very high for the new law, despite almost universal bad press, boycotts, and protests.

Opinion of AZ Law:

Support as is: 57%
Too Far: 23%
Isn't Strong Enough: 17%
DK: 3%

This means that there is almost the same proportion of people that believe that the law is too weak than those which oppose it. This is just another political liability for the Democrats heading into the November elections, especially if immigration reform comes up.

Gallup: Don't Sue Arizona

Americans oppose the federal lawsuit against Arizona over their immigration plan by over 15%. Gallup's polling shows that under 40% support such a move, consistent with the numbers of people that support the new and controversial law.

Favor lawsuit: 33%
Oppose: 50%
Other/dk: 17%

This is more bad news for the President as more people are turning away from his policies. Let's see if they continue with the lawsuit and what happens in the courts.

San Diego Hispanics Support Arizona Law.

Ever since Arizona's anti-illegal alien law was passed several months ago, President Obama and liberal Hispanic groups have been pissing and moaning about the impossible racial profiling in the law. But, we have actually never seen what the Hispanic population as a whole, or even as a community* thinks about Arizona's new anti-illegal alien law.

Until now that is:

The US Justice Department has filed a lawsuit to block Arizona's new immigration law. Do you agree? or disagree? with the Department's decision to sue?

Overall disagree - 62%
Overall agree - 33%
White disagree - 66%
White agree - 31%
Hispanic disagree - 46%
Hispanic agree - 42%

The above mentioned poll results are out of San Diego, California, and should awaken President Barack Obama to the fact that not even a plurality of Hispanic Americans support illegal immigration, and some (you wont believe this), actually want the law enforced.

I would like to thank SurveyUSA for conducting this poll (as well as KGTV-TV out of San Diego), as I believe the above mentioned poll results will shake the political foundations across our great Nation, and perhaps change a few attitudes.

* - San Diego is 26% Hispanic.

McCain Leads Hayworth by 11%

Another hat tip is in order to HotAir, who had a story on the newest polling from Rasmussen. Rasmussen is the most accurate of all the national major pollsters, so this is certainly bad news for JD Hayworth. According to the latest snapshot, incumbent Senator John McCain has kept a double-digit lead over former Congressman JD Hayworth.

McCain: 47%
Hayworth: 36%
Other/Und: 17%

The relatively high level of other/undecided could potentially hurth Mccain as these voters tend to leave the incumbent at a rate of 2:1. Even if this occurs, the final tally would be about McCain 52% to Hayworth's 48%. And that won't even factor in Democrats and Independents who might go in to vote and cast their ballot for Mac.

Looks like it's time for Hayworth to go back to infomercials.

I'm smarter than Eric Holder.

It's official: I'm smarter than the United States Attorney General, Eric Holder. Why? Well, I sat down this morning, and I read all 16 pages of that difficult Arizona Immigration law, and I also understood the legislation, unlike our Attorney General, who hasn't read the Immigration law, but is threatening a federal lawsuit over the Immigration law, which he hasn't read.

Please imagine our first Attorney General, Edmund Randolph, not reading the legislation he was supposed to uphold, defend or file lawsuit over. I can't imagine that, because our Founder Father culture of ideals, actually appreciated the law, and they also enjoyed a good afternoon of reading, unlike Eric Holder.

So what does the legislation say?

1. Federal Law will be adopted on a State level, and followed to the letter. Arizona is enforcing the laws that the Federal government has ignored. That's all this legislation is about.

2. Police Officers and District Attorneys cannot pursue a case or a lead based on race. Besides from the legislative protections, a good portion of Arizona law enforcement personal are born Hispanic-Americans, are you really going to accuse them of race based hate crimes?

3. All money received from illegal aliens, traffickers and employers, will go towards a general fund to combat gang violence and to relieve the local financial burden of housing illegal aliens.

That's about it. I didn't read one line about gutting illegal aliens, enforcing a race based night watchman at every building, or authorizing Arizona law enforcement to goosestep at every traffic stop involving illegal aliens. Than again I'm not Eric Holder, I don't how to file lawsuits without first reading the law.

I'm smarter than Eric Holder and you can be too; Just google "SB 1070" and Arizona's tough-on-illegal alien legislation will be there for all to read, including Eric Holder, if he ever takes his head out of Barack Obama's ass.

Brewer Signs Law Banning Ethnic Studies

Why do I have a feeling that the battle over Arizona is going to get worse? Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed into law a bill disallowing courses that would denigrate other ethnic groups or those which would promote racial division.

Horne, a Republican running for attorney general, said the program promotes "ethnic chauvinism" and racial resentment toward whites while segregating students by race. He's been trying to restrict it ever since he learned that Hispanic civil rights activist Dolores Huerta told students in 2006 that "Republicans hate Latinos."
District officials said the program doesn't promote resentment, and they believe it would comply with the new law.
The measure doesn't prohibit classes that teach about the history of a particular ethnic group, as long as the course is open to all students and doesn't promote ethnic solidarity or resentment.
I believe that a "white studies" course teaching that other races are hurting the "white race" would be wrong. Thus, it follows that racism via academia should be wrong in all cases. Governor Brewer would be good to explain the law to deflect criticism.

Phoenix Suns pander to Arizona criminals.

The Phoenix Suns' franchise decided that annoying 70% of Arizona citizens was the key to sell out crowds and building connections with their fellow Arizonans, I mean why else would they do something like this:

That's right: No Organization in their right mind, that wants sell out crowds and 100% of their state to support them, would change their uniforms to pander to illegal aliens, who are well known criminals; because of their status of being illegally in the Nation.

Except for the Phoenix Suns', that is.

I do not believe in boycotts. Politics should not be seen or heard in Sports related activities. And the Owner of the Phoenix Suns' should be invited onto The O'reilly Factor, where the master of Patriots will give him a beatdown, just ask Congressmen Weiner and Frank.

It's amazing: America's athletic heroes of the past fought in World War 2 for their Nation, but our supposed athletic heroes of the present fight for criminals, and against the rule of law. How we have changed in America, for the worse.

Please keep our Border Patrol Agents and Arizona's law enforcement personal in your prayers.

Buy Arizona!

Liberals, Major League Baseball, Hispanics, some Republicans, and almost all Democrats, along with a local Congressman are calling for the boycott of Arizona! Why? Well, Arizona wants to enforce the law that the federal government neglects to: That being an illegal alien, is in fact illegal.

It's being reported that some are pushing Major League Baseball to throw out all consideration for Arizona to host the 2011 All-Star game next season! Enforcing the law could cost your state some serious dough, but Conservatives need to fight back: We cannot allow illegal alien allies to financially destroy a state for enforcing the law.

As such, I am calling on Conservatives to visit/vacation in Arizona, purchase products from the state, support the Arizona Diamondbacks through ticket sales and memorabilia purchases, and please support Republican candidates in Arizona: Whether it be John McCain or JD Hayworth, Conservatives need to fight back against this boycott.

Glenn Beck, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and Joe Lieberman don't need our help, all of them are financially and politically secure against liberal boycotting losers, but Arizona is fighting against economic threats during a economic recession, if thousands of potential travelers are repelled from visiting for political reasons or even fear, that's another Las Vegas situation all over again.

Buy Arizona! If we don't step up for those who do the right thing, than no one will do the right thing out of fear. We must support Arizona against idiotic, insane and downright stupid liberal boycotts, we must buy Arizona, and do it quickly.

Birthers Just Don't Get It

I don't think this has to be said, but this solidly Republican site is solidly anti-birther. If you want to make a birther argument, you better come armed and ready with a full-on Kenyan birth certificate coupled with a signed statement Barack Obama Sr. stating that this whole thing is a conspiracy 50 years in the making.

But the madness continues.

In Arizona, where Birther JD Hayworth is trying to knock off John McCain in the GOP Senate Primary, the Arizona House is trying to force President Obama to show his "birth certificate" in order to appear on the 2012 ballot there. The main problem is that he's already presented it and it's been legally accepted as authentic!

Phoenix Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema said the bill is one of several measures that are making Arizona "the laughing stock of the nation."
Mesa Republican Rep. Cecil Ash said he has no reason to doubt Obama's citizenship but supports the measure because it could help end doubt.

This madness has to stop. The Democrats are just going to use things like this to make us all sound like wackos.
