Anti-War Intolerance Forces Blair to Cancel Event.

The War on Terror cost Prime Minister Howard of Australia his job, Prime Minister Tony Blair of Great Britain his respect, and President Bush of the United States of America his control of both Houses. But it made the world safer in Afghanistan, and the world securer in Iraq. Two gigantic successes that all three men can be proud of.

Tony Blair released his long awaited memoir last week, and besides for the memoir being a smashing bestseller in both Great Britain and the United States, the former Labour leader was protested by hostile anti-war lunatics at his first book signing in Dublin last week, while another event in London was just canceled due to the expected presence of more anti-war loons.

Just another example of the tolerant left!

When will the intolerant left ever learn civility? We're talking about the former Prime Minister of England, land of the Magna Carta, and you're treating him worse than you ever did a Dictator by the name of Saddam Hussein. Such a disgrace, but so was the horrendous treatment of Karl Rove by Code Pinkos during his book tour, as demonstrated by a speech that he tried to peacefully give at the University of Iowa in early 2009.

Should US Combat Troops be pulled out of Iraq?

Should US Combat Troops be pulled out of Iraq?

As of this moment: 20,000 additional United States Soldiers will be withdrawn from Iraq by the end of this month, basically ending all US Combat Troop operations in the war-torn Nation that's still without a functioning coalition government, even though their National Election was held several months ago. This policy is similar to President Nixon's approach to South Vietnam, which you might remember was a failure.

NeoConservatives have mostly opposed the launch of Operation New Dawn for quite some time, but with increasing violence, a potential resurgence of the al_Qaeda, a stalled government, and Iraqi Lt. General Babaker Zebari calling for US Troops to remain in the Nation until perhaps 2020, the calls to continue to defend the Iraqi people are no longer NeoConservative pleas, but a crucially important realism that will hopefully be realized in time.

Leaving Iraq would be suicide at this point. We have definitely Won the War, but now we need to make sure that our Victory will be the ultimate success for centuries to come. We freed the Iraqi's and we secured their Nation, but such as the United States struggled with threats after our arrival in world affairs in 1776, so is Iraq in 2010. The only difference is that the struggling new Nation has a friend who can help; and who must help.

We cannot leave Iraq.

1,950 Dutch Troops to Vacate Afghanistan.

1,950 Dutch Troops are being pulled out of Afghanistan, leaving the United States with another member of NATO abandoning our mission after a radical change in government: Holland voted out their almost decade long Prime Minister, Jan Peter Balkenende, after his governing coalition failed to extend the amount of time that Dutch Troops would be on the ground, which also led to his coalition government collapsing.

This is not good news.

Especially since both Canada and Poland are scheduled to withdraw all of their Troops within the next two years. Plus, the United Kingdom is drifting farther and farther from the War on Terror, while it seems only France and Germany are willing to remain on our pro-war side, despite the economic and political cost.

What now?

Three things:

1. The United States must increase our Troop levels to compensate for all of our allies leaving us in Afghanistan without support whatsoever.

2. The United States must come to realize the fact that this is our war, not Holland's, not Spain's, not NATO's, not the Afghan people's, but our War on Terrorism. It's true that Spain and the UK should care about what happens over in Afghanistan, but it's obvious they don't.

3. The United States must scrap our 2011 withdrawal/timeline NOW.

All in all, the Dutch are just doing what Europe as a whole has always done - Surrender to pure evil without thought as to the consequences.

Any thoughts?

12 Republicans voted against Afghanistan War Funding Bill.

The House of Representatives voted on and passed the much needed Afghanistan War funding bill last night by a vote of 308-114. A majority of the opposition came from a divided Democratic Caucus, but 12 members of the usually neo-Conservative Republican Caucus voted against the essential war funding legislation.

This should no longer come as a surprise to me, but it is just so damn awful that members of our own Caucus, the true representatives of the American soldier, stand against our humble soldiers, and our Wars on Terror.

Here's the list of Republicans that need to go:

Congressman Broun (Georgia).
Congressman Campbell (California).
Congressman Chaffetz (Utah).
Congressman Duncan (Tennessee).
Congressman Ehlers (Michigan).
Congressman Flake (Arizona).
Congressman Gingrey (Georgia).
Congressman Jones (N. Carolina).
Congressman Johnson (Illinois).
Congressman Linder (Georgia).
Congressman Paul (Texas).
Congressman Rohrabacher (California).

This is the reason I'm fearful of a United States Senate with Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Ken Buck and Sharron Angle, in addition to Senator's Coburn and DeMint. Once we regain control of Congress, and say we have to expand the War on Terrorism into Pakistan or Yemen, will we have enough of our own Representatives and Senator's on the right side?

That's the question that leaves me awake at night.

We must Win Afghanistan.

The United States of America simply cannot afford to be defeated in Afghanistan. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which resulted in the horrific deaths of 2,991 individuals, President Bush stood against our enemies (al-Qaida and the Taliban), and declared them all the same, and all at fault.

President Bush understood that those who harbored our enemies, such as al-Qaida, were just as much our enemies, than those who took control of the planes; which is why the United States has been fighting against our Islamist foes for nine years in Afghanistan, regardless of President.

It's true that the greatest victory of the War on Terrorism will be Iraq, as our efforts to remove Saddam, to build a Nation, and to secure a friend, at least geographically, has succeeded. It's also true that the greatest morale victory of the War on Terrorism is that our Troops have not been treated like garbage, such as they were during the Vietnam War.

But all of that will be a hollow victory without Victory in Afghanistan. If we lose to the Jihadists: the Taliban, with or without the help of Karzai, will regain control of Afghanistan, they will once again establish Afghanistan as a safe harbour for al-Qaida, they will once again attack us and our allies, and we will have to, once again, launch War into Afghanistan.

We must Win Afghanistan, or another September eleventh will occur on our shores. You don't know how much it affects me when I hear supposed Conservatives, such as Ann Coulter, bash the War in Afghanistan for political gains. It's sickening, and it pisses me off. We have 100,000 soldiers and General Petraeus in Afghanistan, fighting for ours and the world's future as a free world, and now, even some on our side are using that for political gain.

We must Win Afghanistan.

We're Still at War. But Neutered.

The United States Military is still deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq; with possible missions to Pakistan, Somali, and other hotbeds of Islamic Terrorism around the corner. Matt wrote about the incredible "bi-partisanship" of Congress, and the lack of anti-war demonstrations against America's ongoing Wars overseas; proving Democrats were obstructionists during the Bush White House and that anti-war demonstrators were mainly anti-Bush, anti-Republican nutjobs.

Thankfully we're still at War in Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama's "promises" were just baseless ramblings to appease his left-wing anti-war base. However, even though we're still fighting in the Middle East; our Armed Forces have been neutered by the Administration; one action by one action.

Neutered? Let us examine:

1. President Obama has flown across the world (and sometimes invited guests to Washington) to apologize for the supposed sins of America. Weakening our stance with allies, while fueling the anger of enemies.

2. President Obama has insulted Israel, Great Britain, France, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, and several other allies, while coddling to Iran, North Korea, the Taliban, South American Dictators, and Cuba.

3. President Obama ignored the requests of General McChrystal for three months. Why? Well, in the eyes of Obama: controlling the health care of 300 million Americans is more important than backing up 150,000 soldiers in the Middle East.

4. President Obama's Administration has attempted to force the "repeal of don't ask don't tell" down the throats of our Military; even though our Armed Forces oppose it by wide margins, and would cause a drop in troop morale.

5. President Obama's Administration does not allow our soldiers to fight against unarmed Taliban, even if they just attacked our troops, and they have also introduced a "constraint" award for soldiers who don't kill our enemy.

6. President Obama's Administration has refused to call our enemies what they are: Radical IslamoFascists. Our current Wars have been politically corrected to death; surrendering the word game to our enemies.

7. Four Terrorist Attacks have occurred on Obama's watch: Murder of Military recruiters in Arkansas, Fort Hood massacre, Christmas Day "panty-bomber" and the thankfully failed attack on Times Square. President Bush kept us safe for seven consecutive years; Obama hasn't for seven consecutive months.

8. President Obama has launched a War against America's Intelligence System; releasing vital information, targeting the CIA, while hindering successful interrogation techniques in Gitmo, and forcing soldiers to comply with strict interrogation guidelines.

President Obama and his Administration has neutered our Wars on Terrorism; our Wars against IslamoFascists who want to behead us all. So why are our forces still kicking ass and taking names in the Middle East? Because we're still Americans; weaken us, threaten us, hold us hostage; we're still Americans.

Faisal Shahzad deserves Constitutional rights?

Glenn Beck and Judge Napolitano argued in favor of the terrorist Faisal Shahzad receiving his Constitutional rights on Fox & Friends this morning. From a Constitutional standpoint both of the above mentioned Libertarians might be correct, but from a Nation at War standpoint: Both are wrong.

Faisal Shahzad has been an American Citizen for just one year, and his "Thank You" note to the United States Government was a busted old car loaded with explosives, meant to kill thousands of innocent New Yorkers and tourists, including the Cousin of my Sister-In-Law. Does he really deserve or have a right to Constitutional rights?

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort". Sounds like our neighborhood-Constitutional-right-deserver has committed treason against the United States. I'm not sure, but I believe the act of treason allows for the US Government to revoke citizenship and the associated rights.

If not, Senator Joe Lieberman is suggesting a law that would allow the United States Government to revoke the citizenship of anyone who is connected with International Terrorist Organizations waging war against the United States. Perhaps we could allow one retroactive law to pass in the United States: Remember what Thomas Jefferson wrote about self preservation.

1. Faisal Shahzad should face a Military Tribunal for crimes against the United States.

2. Faisal Shahzad should be sent to Guantanamo Bay for further information to be obtained.

3. Faisal Shahzad should be executed in Times Square, with a big defaced picture of South Park Mohammad right-in-front of him.

Shahzad deserves nothing from this Nation. Don't give me the Constitution: It was never intended to protect our enemies, or worse, traitors.

All and all: We're at War! Allowing our Constitution to defend our Enemies, naturalized or not, is without a doubt insane, insulting and misguided.

Lance Orton: Profile of a Hero

There were a lot of heroes in the defusing of the car bomb in Times Square last night and this morning. They include the police chief Ray Kelly, the bomb squad, the NYPD, and the FDNY. However, all of their efforts would have been in vain if not for one man.

A t-shirt vendor who tipped off the police.

This man has been talked about now in the NY Times, with a little bit about this hero who does not want to be named. A nametag identifies him as Lance Orton.

A little about his actions:

“I’m not going to say nothing, I’m not going to say nothing,” he said when first approached by a gaggle of reporters.

As he walked down the street, employees from Junior’s restaurant stood outside applauding him. He briefly entered the restaurant before heading toward 44th Street.

He walked with a limp, had a cane, wore a white fedora and had a hoop earring in his right ear.

When asked if he was proud of his actions, he said: “Of course, man. I’m a veteran. What do you think?”

Hero.

Another terrorist attack on American soil.

November 5th 2009 - Nidal Malik Hasan murdered 13 American Soldiers at the Fort Hood Military base. Hasan is a radical Islamist who hates this Nation, was in contact with a radical imam who had connections with Islamic terrorists, and considered the "fight against" American soldiers a spiritual duty for all Muslims.

December 25th 2009 - Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab unsuccessfully attempted to bring down Northwest Airlines Flight 253 over Detroit, Michigan, on Christmas day. Abdulmatallab was also connected to that same imam who Major Hasan exchanged emails with, and who he considered a hero. Abdulmutallab was a native of Yemen, and even his own father warned American officials about his radical beliefs.

May 1st 2010 - An unknown terrorist or terrorists planted a Car Bomb in Times Square, which was rigged to explode and would have caused a massive loss of life. Due to the heroic actions of a local vendor who was also a Vietnam Veteran, New York Cops were alerted, and the bomb was neutralized.

Let us not forget the half-of-dozen terrorist attacks the Federal Bureau of Investigation stopped last year, including a attack on the New York Subway system. America has faced terrorist attack after terrorist attack over the past fifteen months of Obama being in office, our Nation is weaker and our enemies know it.

According to some speculation on Twitter and traditional media sources, the terrorist attack in Times Square might have been directed at Viacom, which owns and broadcasts Comedy Central, which in turn broadcasted the television show South Park, which a few weeks ago dared to make fun of the Muslim religion. This is all speculation as of now, but interesting.

Except for a few Conservative bloggers, almost all Republican lawmakers; who are out of power at this moment, Joe Lieberman; who is thankfully in power, and our Armed Forces as a whole, America has been neglecting the War on Terrorism the past fifteen months, and we can't afford to anylonger.

We're in a War. We need to start acting like it, such as we did after September eleventh. Please remember we're in a War on Terror when casting your ballots for Republican candidates during the primaries and in November: Not one weak, libertarian, wussass Republican should be voted into office, we have enough of them in the Democratic caucus.

Stay strong America and God Bless America!

Without a strong National Defense; nothing else matters.

Halabja: Not to Be Forgotten

The world ended for many on March 16, 1988.

By the end of the day, over five thousand civilians lie dead or dying, and over ten thousand more are crippled, blind, or cannot breathe. The worst chemical weapons attack since the First World War has taken its toll on this mountainous border town.

None could imagine that just fifteen years and three days later, paratroopers would be falling from the skies; shaking hands and giving food and water, instead of chemical shells. Over the next three weeks, the people of Halabja, and all of the world watched as one of the worst regimes in human history fell to the might of will. Within months, students from Tehran University demanded to know why their country is not liberated.

Not more than one and a half years earlier, forces of the Northern Alliance, formerly led by Ahmad Shah Massoud, rolled their rusty T-55 tanks down the thoroughfares of Kabul and into the celebrating masses of ordinary folk.

Just four and a half years after the fall of the capital of Afghanistan to the mujahadeen, the people of Beirut staged illegal demonstrations in order to secure free expression; that Lebanon is the property of Lebanon’s people, and of no foreigners. Just last year they had free elections.

What do all of these events have in common? They all share the thread of people’s yearning to be free. With the help of outsiders of thousands of miles away, speaking in foreign tongues and worshipping at different houses, this was accomplished. But how?

For one of the first times in Middle Eastern history, it is becoming accepted to raise one’s voice, and to say what one wants to say, and not what one’s forced to say. In Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon, democracy has sprung forth with tangible force. In Jordan, Egypt, and Kuwait, people are experiencing their first inkling of a constitutionalist society. Even in Iran, Libya, and Saudi Arabia are people starting to shake off the ashes of fascism and learning that they can be heard.

In 1938, the Third Reich was staring hungrily at the central European democracy of Czechoslovakia, while outside powers debated what to do. All knew that National Socialist Germany had remilitarized the Rhineland, seized the Saar, and had just invaded Austria under “peaceful” guises. The government of Czechoslovakia, under Eduard Benes, saw the lies of the Nazi regime and broadcast them for the Western democracies to hear. This would not just end in the Sudetenland, as Hitler had promised, but also spread to Prague, Memel, Warsaw, Amsterdam, and Paris. No one listened to the wise man, for no true prophet is taken at their word.

The democracies balked and gave into the “reasonable” demands of Germany. Not only this, but they had the supreme lack of foresight to declare “peace in our time.”

But Benes was right. Within six months, all of Czechia was in the hands of the Nazis, and just six months after that, the Wermacht was crossing the border into Poland. Just eight months after that, the Maginot line was nothing more than a heap of concrete and steel.

Today, the cries of appeasement and Chamberlainism can be heard loudly today, echoed from the West; but unfortunately, as in 1938, those that would benefit from such a policy are feeding the fire of evil and hegemony. Today, those nations that were given up to Hitler, then conquered by Stalin have screamed again, this time to let us know what they went through. These nations, like the Czech Republic, Holland, and Poland, had no second thoughts providing their best support to the anti-fascist movement against dictatorship in the Middle East, led by the United States. Now, women can go outside their house in Kandahar without a veil on, and people can speak their mind in Mosul, without their wife and daughter being raped.

This dream is on the precipice, though. It has marginally succeeded in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon, and is spreading like the Holy Word to the rest of the Middle East. If this is pressed by those that have known despotism and wish to see it ended throughout mankind, possibly it could succeed.

There will be obstacles. Ba’athists continue to murder children with the help of their al Qaeda allies. Ba’athism is still in control in Syria, running a despotism that is a hotbed of terror. The Islamic Revolution still reigns in Tehran, where it is seeking man’s worst weapons for man’s worst reasons while denying man’s worst crime. In Saudi Arabia, freedom is appearing too slow and in Azerbaijan; elections do not seem as fair as they should be.

Still, despite all of these hurdles, inaction would be far worse than anything that the partners of freedom could do. Halabja would be seen as a glorious act, September 11th, 2001, will be seen as a relatively low-casualty day, and the people of the world will think Saddam Hussein al-Tikriti a mild man compared to those that replaced him. To turn away now, at the turning point, would be the same as the Munich agreement of 1938. It will fill our hearts with hope and our brains with images of a false peace. This time, when the troops cross the Polish border, they will not be riding on Panzer IIs, they will be strapped with weapons of mass destruction, which will at first be used for its name’s sake, and then will be used as blackmail for mass injustice.

Then the world would end for everyone else.

White House May Have to Release 9/11 Suspects on Technicality

KSM to Go Free in White House Legal Error?
Dylan Ruegger
Ottawa Sun

American civil and defense attorneys are bristling at the legal back-and-forth between the White House and the Justice Department. For the last month it has been widely reported that the Obama Administration was considering trying al Qaeda suspects tied to the September 11, 2001 attacks in military court. This would be a reversal of their earlier push to try the defendants in a New York City court.

While this move has been applauded by members of both the Republican and Democratic establishments, it has not gone over well with legal experts at both the Pentagon and in the Justice Department. According to one senior attorney speaking on terms of anonymity, the change in legal settings could set off a chain reaction leading to a mistrial.

According to American law, most changes of legal venues occur only after it has been determined that a suspect cannot receive a fair trial. If these suspects were American citizens, a change to another court would have been a simple matter. However, due to the legal changes regarding terrorist detainees put in place by the Obama Administration, this is not as simple.

"You have the al Qaeda suspects being presumed innocent until proven guilty," said one
Justice Department attorney's aide, "If the trials are moved to Guantanamo Bay, the suspects' lawyers can legally challenge that the federal government changed the venue only to increase the chance of a guilty verdict."

If this is indeed the case, the Obama Adminstration would also be legally unable to return the trials to the original destination. Under these circumstances it is possible, but still not likely, that a circuit court could determine that the attempted changes constituted a miscarriage of justice and that the suspects would have to be set free.

While this situation is unlikely, it is still unsettling for many in the legal community, especially those who have been tracking al Qaeda.

"The chance of them being set free is maybe five percent." said our source at the Pentagon, "But five percent is still five percent too high."

Obama Administration officials have defending this course of action, claiming that the continuity of American justice during wartime was an utmost concern. Attorney General Eric Holder's office simply told one FOXNews affiliate simply, "Justice will be served."

Albania Sending 85 More Troops to Afghanistan

After news of the American troop surge in Afghanistan broke, many nations have agreed to bolster the NATO mission in Afghanistan, ISAF. 5,000 new forces will be deploying with the Americans to try and pacify the country.

Poland, our steadfast ally, is sending 600 on top of its 2000 already in place. Britain is sending 500 more.

But to readers of Jumping in Pools, it should come as no surprise that tiny Albania, the most pro-American nation in Europe is deploying 85 more troops, bringing its commitment up to 335 soldiers. This is the same country that sent 200 troops to win the war in Iraq.

You go, Albania!

We Stand For Victory in Afghanistan

We here at Jumping in Pools stand for victory in Afghanistan against the Taliban and al Qaeda. There is no way that we can allow this band of theocratic fascists to control one of the most vital waypoints in Central Asia. It was from Afghanistan that the September 11th atrocities were planned, it was from Afghanistan that the Taliban moved into Pakistan.

We must win there. Period.

We have significant disagreements with President Obama. None of us (not even Joe, a democrat) supported him in 2008. However, we must throw away some of our disagreement in order to do what's best for the soldiers and for the nation as a whole.

We support the troop surge. We hope that the President will send at least 10,000 more soldiers in order to fulfill General McChrystal's request. We hope that NATO and other nations will also send thousands of new troops. Our dear ally Georgia has announced that it is sending almost 2,000 troops, and Britain is sending 500 more.

This is a particularly difficult issue to us. One of our writers, Eli, is in the National Guard training to be a medic. It is likely that he may go to Afghanistan and we want to make sure that reinforcements are there to win the war and destroy the Taliban.

The Taliban and al Qaeda are our enemies, not the President. I hope that after the speech President Obama places responsibility in Generals McChrystal and Petraeus to finish the job.

We all depend on it.

Hillary, Military Want at Least 30k New Troops for Afghanistan

As President Barack Obama continues dithering on the decision to send reinforcements to our troops in the field in Afghanistan, many of those around him are urging him to send more troops quickly. These include the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense. What Obama will eventually do is as of yet unknown.

Unfortunately there is also this horrifying news:

But administration officials cautioned that Mr. Obama had not yet made up his mind, and that other top advisers, among them Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and the White House chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, remained skeptical of the value of a buildup.

Man, I hope he doesn't talk to Biden. He's a retard. He's been wrong on just about every foreign policy issue since 2004.

We need to surge up to 60,000 troops in by February and give them the counterinsurgency strategy which will eventually decrease all casualties: US, NATO, and Afghan and will halt the Taliban. With the Taliban weakened in Afghanistan, the Pakistani military can close in on the other side of the border.

Is it easy? No. Thousands of people will die (hopefully all Taliban and al Qaeda). It will take at least a year and maybe five (if not more). But unless you're REALLY hankerin' for a jet to fly into another office building, we better get the job done.

Remember 7/7

Four years ago today, cowardly terrorists aligned with al Qaeda assaulted Great Britain in a coordinated strike on mass transit. Using four suicide bombers, the terrorists were able to kill over 50 and wound many more.

Two weeks later came more attempted attacks on other targets in the capital, which fortunately did not succeed. Prime Minister Tony Blair showed courage and resolve after both attacks.

Terrorists and their allies believe that they have a reason to strike at the democratic nations of the world. Many, including Britain and Spain, were at the forefront of the War on Terrorism. Terrorists intended to knock them out by assaulting civilians and having the government (not the terrorists themselves) be blamed. Spain pulled its troops out of Iraq after the Madrid bombings on March 11, 2004.

To Londoners and British credit, the UK has stayed steadfast against extremism and stands shoulder to shoulder with the United States and democracy.

Thank you Britain.
May the dead and their loved ones find peace.

Remember 3/11/2004

Five years ago today came one of the most brutal terrorist attacks in history. On March 11, 2004, Islamist terrorists launched simultaneous bombings in the subways of Madrid Spain. After the attacks were finished, 191 civilians were brutally murdered.

The terrorists won a double victory from the carnage. After the attack, the Spanish voters folded and voted out the popular Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar. In his place, they elected Jose Zapatero, who folded to the terrorists' demands and pulled Spain's 1300 troops from Iraq.

So pray for the victims, please.

Europe to Give Gaza Over $500 Million

Yes-- I know. It appears that Europe just doesn't get it. Even after Hamas provoked a war with its democratic neighbor, Israel, Gaza will be receiving $552 million in aid from the nations of Europe.

But are we any better? Our own government has pledged almost one billion dollars in aid. This comes as we are building up a tremendous deficit. Should we really be spending on credit so that Hamas can buy some new rocket launchers? Something is creepy about this and we really need to get a grip.

Unfortunately, everything appears to be looked at in the eyes of "change." We've got some problems with these decisions, though:

According to the Voice of America, the Palestinian Authority is asking for almost $3 billion to rebuild Gaza. First: is the GDP of Gaza even approaching this figure? Would it be worth it to do this and spend all of this money to encourage the next war.

Second and far more important: the Palestinian Authority doesn't even control Gaza! Hamas does! How can the PA be asking for all of this money to rebuild Gaza when they couldn't even spend it on repairs or public works! Instead, some of this money would be stolen in the fashion of Yasser Arafat.

Third, if the money goes to Gaza, it would go to the Hamas government. Why would Europe or the United States directly or indirectly give money to a terrorist group, except out of weakness or stupidity.

Even if 1% of the EU's and the US's money goes to buy weapons, that's still over $15 million! That thousands of guns and millions of bullets! That's thousands of IEDs or grenades! How many Jews have to die because of our shortsidedness?

This is blood on our hands.

US Nabbed Iranian Weapons to Hamas?

From World Threats, the United States may have intercepted Iranian arms going to the terrorist group Hamas"

"The news is breaking, but FoxNews is reporting that the American navy has intercepted a ship carrying Iranian arms going to Hamas. This ship flies under the flag of Cyprus. While the destination is unclear, Debka has been reporting that a ship carrying Iranian arms would attempt to send these weapons to Hamas. From Fox:

The search turned up ammunition that included artillery shells. But one official said that since Hamas is not known to use artillery, officials are now uncertain who the intended recipient was. They’re asking Egypt to do another search when the ship arrives in port.

The task force was unable to confiscate the arms, despite the violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution that prohibits Iran from selling arms, because there is no enforcement mechanism in place.

The officials said the shipment is believed to be on its way to Syria and there is little the international community can do to stop it.

Perhaps it’s just another link in Iran’s terrorism chain. It also shows that the U.N. is almost toothless to stop such a violation of its own resolutions."
