Dino Rossi continues to lead Pat Murray.

According to a new Rasmussen Reports poll, Republican Dino Rossi is leading Democratic Senator Patty Murray by 2% in Washington's red hot senatorial race. This is the first time since early-to-mid July that Mr.Rossi has come ahead in Rasmussen polling, even though SurveyUSA has him in the lead as of two weeks ago by 7%.

Rasmussen Survey of 750 Washington Likely Voters:
Dino Rossi (R) - 48%.
Pat Murray (D) - 46%.
Undecided voters - 6%.

Not good news for the 18 year Senator, especially when you consider her two-month long lead over Dino Rossi in Rasmussen polls, and the fact that 50% of Washington voters now disapprove of President Obama, who won their state by almost 20% in 2008. It appears Conservatism is overtaking the Pacific North West (Joe Miller in Alaska, Chris Dudley in Oregon, and Dino Rossi in Washington).

Dino Rossi slaughters Clint Didier in Washington Primary.

Washington State held their unusual Primary vote yesterday, one in which all of the Democratic, Republican, and Independent candidates square off against one-another in a top 2 primary, and the candidates, regardless of political affiliation, who have the two highest vote totals when the day is over, will face off in November.

The results were not good for either Senator Murray or Clint Didier:

Patty Murray (D) - 433,211 - 46.04%
Dino Rossi (R) - 319,708 - 33.98%.
Clint Didier (R) - 112,774 - 11.99%.
Paul Akers (R) - 23,889 - 2.54%.
Charles Allen (D) - 7,973 - 0.85%.

Ouch.

Dino Rossi, the mainstream Republican candidate in the Primary defeated Mr.Didier, who can only be kindly described as Libertarian, by a margin of over 200,000 votes. Obviously Sarah's power (Mrs.Palin endorsed Didier over Rossi) doesn't have a significant impact with the voters of Washington State.

However, the results were even worse for Senator Pat Murray, as not even 50% of all voters in the State of Washington supported her in a Primary dominated by Republican infighting. And when you breakdown the results by political affiliation, Republicans are no longer the minority party in a certain deep blue state.

Republican Party (6 candidates) - 496,364 - 49.89%
Democratic Party (5 candidates) - 456,290 - 48.50%
Independents/Other (4 candidates) - 15,236 - 1.62%

I'm hopeful that Dino Rossi can unite all 496,364 Washington State voters who supported one of six Republican Party candidates behind his crucial Senatorial campaign, and that his campaign will add even more voters by November, in what is one of the most important races of 2010.

Just a notice.

Who to support: Didier or Rossi?

According to a new Rasmussen Reports poll out of Washington state, Senator Patty Murray (D) is trailing both of her potential Republican opponents: former football player Chris Didier, and two time Gubernatorial candidate Dino Rossi. Leaving Washington Republicans with a grand chance to defeat the liberalist of Senator's in a deep blue state.

However, with the Senatorial election no longer about selecting a token candidate, Republicans must take into account what kind of Senator their eventual Nominee would be. And when we look at that, Chris Didier doesn't belong within 10,000 miles of Washington D.C., let alone being the GOP candidate for US Senate anywhere.

Clint Didier on National Defense:

1. America should withdrawal all Troops from all Overseas Bases.

2. America should not be involved in International Affairs.

3. Distorts Reagan policy of "Peace through Strength".

4. Disagrees with Bush Doctrine on Nations harbouring Terrorists.

5. Distorts Congressional Approval of Wars in Middle East.

6. Wants America to leave the UN immediately.

7. Does not believe in "Free Trade Agreements".

8. Was endorsed by Congressman Ron Paul two weeks ago.

He might wrap his "Isolationism Flag" with the Founders, but he's really wrapping it with Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan, Ann Coulter, and other Libertarian fruitcakes. When Republicans control the Senate again, we need pro-national defense members in our Caucus, not anti-defense nuts who join the Democratic Caucus on what really matters.

Didier is unqualified for the Republican Nomination, and Sarah Palin is a jackass for endorsing this clown.

Rossi in Senate Race in WA

Dino Rossi, who lost a real nailbiter of an election in the 2004 contest for governor, has decided to challenge Democratic incumbent Patti Murray for a Senate seat in Washington state. Rossi lost the 2004 and 2008 contests but appears to be, by far, the best candidate to take on Murray. This came after Rossi wasn't sure whether to run or not. Now it appears official.

According to the Real Clear Politics average, it's anybody's race. One poll has Murray up by 17 while another has Rossi up 10%. According to the average, it's:

Murray: 47%
Rossi: 44%
Undecided/other: 9%

This one's going to be a barnburner. After his previous losses, Rossi would not have entered this race unless he thought he had something to show this time around. But it's bad news for the Democrats, as it creates another competitive seat to defend.

Obama Calls Tea Parties 'Idiotic'

WASHINGTON- A classified memo written by the President, in which he instructs Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on how to address questions concerning so called Tea Parties, has been leaked to the public.

The document, dated April 13, details President Obama's instructions on how Gibbs should respond to questions asked by reporters. In it, the President tells Gibbs to downplay the importance of "social events that are aimed at undermining [the President's] plan to fix the economy."

President Obama also instructs Gibbs to "not answer any questions regarding these gatherings directly," writing that they are "idiotic" in their aims to curb government spending.

This leak comes at a time when the President has been criticized by Republicans for being too wasteful in his spending and agenda.

"Once again, the President has shown that he is utterly out of touch with the American public," said Joseph Barton, a representative of Texas's 6th Congressional District. "Doesn't he understand that people are sick and tired of unending taxes? Apparently not."

The Administration defended the memo, stating that its release was "unintentional," but that it is how the President characterizes "unnecessary criticism." Robert Gibbs also released a statement, writing that he does "not understand the uproar about something that the majority of Americans agree with anyway."

The President has not released a direct statement to the press, but one is expected in the coming days.

Obama to Allow Russia to Disregard START I

WASHINGTON- Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is furious with a potential break with accepted US foreign policy. In an attempt to win the support of the Russian government, President Obama has released a statement in which he doubts START I, or the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.

In a classified statement released through Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, the President writes that "the United States cannot impose its will on foreign nations. This is also true when it comes to the START agreement; our nation cannot force nuclear dearmament on small nations, let alone the largest nation on earth."

"We expect a lot of flak over this," the statement continues. "But those that would be most against it are those looking either for attention or control."

Recent news shows that Russia is not pleased with the current administration because of its stance towards Georgia joining NATO. This step by the President could be a move to gain support from US naysayers.

A spokesman for Admiral Michael Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, states that the Obama Administration is in talks to allow Russia to produce more nuclear arms than START I stipulates. The spokesperson also stated that the United States would not interfere with the positioning of the armaments.

In a memo to the President, Gates sounded his concerns with the potential actions. In the document, the Secretary of Defense writes that "it is a noble goal to try and reach out to former rivals and nations, but not at the cost of vulnerability. If handled incorrectly, this could have disastrous consequences."

The time frame for these changes are currently unknown, but they are expected to be announced sometime in July.

Obama Shocked to Learn Real Military not Run Like Game of Risk

WASHINGTON- In a surprising turn of events, months of US military planning have proved useless when it was revealed to President Obama that real armies are not used similarly to Risk, a popular board game.

The revelation comes at a time when the President has planned an invasion of North Korea because of their recent aggressive actions.

"This is terrible," said Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. "The President had planned to turn in cards and bolster the United States army. Not only would we have strengthened our forces of men, but also we'd have added a couple cannons and three horses... He even had two free men in the Eastern United States."

President Obama had planned to conquer Kamchatka from Alaska with his new army. "From there, I would be able to strike Mongolia, which is where the Korean peninsula is located," the President stated. "The only problem is that the gray army is strong there, and their roller always wants a redo when the dice go off the table."

According to sources, the Commander in Chief had even prepared for the invasion by opening older versions of Risk and placing blocks and Roman Numerals on the board.

Unfortunately, President Obama was informed late last night that the military attack would not be feasible. "They told me that my men on the board didn't really count," said Obama, referring to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "I said that they were just jealous that I had been rolling sixes all game. But, no, they said that North Korea does not recognize the supremacy of a board game.

"On the bright side," said the President, "this won't affect my plans to invade Indonesia via Siam. If I can get Australia, I'll get two extra men a turn."

The President is also reportedly planning on playing Monopoly with CEOs from major US car companies.

Obama Questions Israel's Right to Exist in Speech in Egypt

CAIRO, EGYPT- President Barack Obama took a step away from decades-old US foreign policy by questioning the right of Israel to exist.

"The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements" on the West bank or around Jerusalem, the President stated today. "It is time for these settlements to stop."

The President went on to state that Israelis must realize that the United States cannot simply "point fingers," stating that Israelis cannot simply point to the hostilities they have been met with by their neighbors. Instead, the President states that Israel must realize "the displacement brought about by Israel's founding."

Later in the speech, President Obama quoted from the holy Koran, saying, "Let there be no doubt, Islam is part of America." He continued later, ""Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism."

President Obama compared Palestine's existence to slavery in the United States, stating, "Palestinians must focus on what they can build... Palestine's right to existence cannot be denied... Israel must also live up to its obligation to ensue Palestinians can live and work and develop their society."

This speech comes at a time were President Obama has been criticized for his proposal of "two-party" negotiation between Israel and Palestine. Instead, the President seemed to be pushing a three-party strategy, which includes Israel, Palestine, and the United States, and aimed at an ultimate goal of shrinking Israel's power.

Obama's statement that Israel's settlements "undermines efforts to achieve peace" was met with applause by the crowd in attendance.

Obama Proposes North Korean Limit of Four Nuclear Weapons

WASHINGTON- Admiral Michael Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is extremely frustrated with a new negotiating tactic that the White House is contemplating.

In an attempt to curtail aggressive actions by the North Korean government, including firing long- and short-range missiles, in an internal memo President Obama has offered a compromised approach: a limited amount of small nuclear weaponry in exchange for the end of provocative actions.

In the previously classified memo, President Obama outlined a plan to limit North Korea's path towards weapons by allowing them to be in possession of some, in hopes that they would not persuade more. This includes "at most four nuclear weapons capable of being used via rocket warhead."

A spokeswoman for President Obama heralded the plan as a sign that "peace can find a way, so long as two side can negotiate." She went on to state that the President believed, since North Korea already had nuclear weapons, there was no reason to persuade the nation to stop nuclear research.

Despite the President's plan, North Korea has not responded to his offer and he has been presented with resistance by Admiral Mullen. In a circular distributed by White House Press, Admiral Mullen writes that the plan, if handled incorrectly, could have "catastrophic consequences."

As of now, there is no clear timetable for the enactment of this policy. However, a spoeman for Secretary of Defense Robert Gates reported that it could be put into action by this July 4th holiday.

Obama Considering Repainting the White House to Help Environment

WASHINGTON- The White House could soon lose its world-famous color. According to Administration officials, the President is considering repainting his new home with environmentally friendly paint; and that potentially could mean a color other than white.

The move comes at a time when the President has urged Americans to take up a sense of environmental responsibility in the world, including the newly passed gas-mileage requirements by Congress.

Officials stated that "the President would like to lead by example. Not only will he be trying to purchase zero-VOC paints [volatile organic compounds], but that he also is willing to paint the White House the most effective color possible to help the environment."

The President himself did not release a detailed press release on the subject, simply saying that the plans to paint the White House "will be considered, regardless of the color." It is also believed that Michelle Obama is a reason that the President is considering the change, because she "hates the color white."

Despite the President's well-meaning, the plan has been received coldly by many. "This plan is not something I would support," said Vice President Joe Biden. "Barack is my President, and my friend, so I will always encourage him to do what he thinks is right. Personally, though, I'm not quite sure that changing the color of a national landmark will help the environment all that much.

"It's puzzling in a way," Biden added.

It is unknown when the President will make his decision, but it is expected within June.

Million gunowners march, gaining strength.

Several months ago, I wrote an article on the increasing support spreading through out the entire Internet, calling for a million gunowners march, for us pro-second amendment Patriots to send a loud and clear message to Washington D.C.

Two months later.

The most anti-second amendment President of the United States is in office. The most anti-second amendment Attorney General, is in office. Anti-gun legislation has been proposed in both states and federal legislatures, luckily - all have been defeated to this point, in fact pro-gun legislation is winning across the United States.

Still, there are those of us who want a large demonstration of fellow pro-second amendment Americans to march on Washington D.C., just to show these anti-gunners we are here, and in large numbers.

Obviously someone agrees with that viewpoint, as an group has been launched on the Internet, to start gaining American support for a march on Washington next spring, much to the pleasure of myself and fellow pro-second amendment Conservatives.

The movement has gained the support of thousands in a short amount of time, it also appears the organizers are in communication with pro-second amendment activist, and rockstar Ted Nugent, all though nothing has been agreed to as of this afternoon, the presence of Mr.Nugent along would skyrocket attendance and support.

While I cannot personally guarantee I would participate in the direct marching, I can assure fellow Conservatives I am 100% in favor of this movement to finally show ourselves in large numbers and principle to the leftist anti-second amendment 111th United States Congress.

I call on all able bodied Conservatives to visit the second amendment website, and help in any which way you can. Whether it be in direct march, or in morale support of some sort. As, we need to finally stand up for what is right, our precious right to bear arms, as protected by the United States Constitution.

President Bush Put Principles Before Party and Popularity

For all of the talk about President Bush overreaching his power and being such a terrible President, it appears that the haters were wrong. President Bush made the conscious decision to place integrity before his legacy. He decided to put ideals in front of winning elections.

He put his country first.

For example, an interview with Fox News where the President stated that it was more important to do the right thing than to do the right thing politically.

"During the darkest days of Iraq, people came to me and said, 'You're creating incredible political difficulties for us,'" the current president said as his term draws to a close. "And I said, 'Oh, really? What do you suggest I do?' And some suggested retreat, pull out of Iraq.

"But I had faith that freedom exists in people's souls and therefore, if given a chance, democracy and Iraqi-style democracy could survive and work," the president said. "I didn't compromise that principle for the sake of trying to, you know, bail out my political party."

An honest politician? That's change I can believe in.

Obama Hypocritical on Gay Marriage

President Barack Obama upset a lot of people by coming out and opposing gay marriage. Thanks to his arch-religious views, he may never change his mind. But has he already.

But before we go any further, I need to place a disclaimer. I, the author of this article, do hereby support gay marriage and the legalization thereof. I support it the be ratified by the United States Congress to apply to all fifty states. The rights of legally consenting adults to marry should not be infringed upon, in fact it should be encouraged. I even wrote an article about it if you need proof.

That's one reason I have a problem with Obama. This guy states how he not only wants change, but positive change. What better positive change is to let millions of Americans decide their own destinies? But no, Obama is holding fast to his arcane religious fundamentalism. Hell, even Dick Cheney supports gay marriage. But Mr. Change? No.

He backed the practice back when he was a State Senator. Maybe that's before the Bible told him not to. Or maybe that's before he needed to craft a great image for himself to become President. This is a terrible act of a very smart politician.

President Obama needs to reverse course and stand up for gay rights... if he has the courage, that is. He states that he will fight for the right cause even if it's unpopular. Well, gay marriage is the right cause, and it's unpopular. Should be perfect for the guy whose scruples are better than Lincoln's.

If not, he's just another politician with a trail of broken promises.

Burris Wins Battle for Senate Seat

Roland Burris, who was appointed by disgraced (and now impeached) Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, has been cleared to serve in the United States Senate. This takes place after Democratic leaders refused to pave the way for him.

We've written a little about this ourselves and have a split opinion.
However, there is not a split opinion in the Senate.

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, under investigation for allegations that include seeking to trade Obama's Senate seat for personal favors, surprised Senate Democrats over the holiday break when he appointed Burris to succeed Obama in the Senate.

Senate Democrats, who had worried that any appointee would be tainted by Blagojevich, have been grappling with how to proceed ever since. They rejected Burris last week only to reverse course a day later after Obama himself privately weighed in and senators fretted that the situation was diverting their focus.

Indeed.

Obama: Those Promises I Made Were Flexible

The incoming President, Barack Obama, has been making noises that his vast promises of economic intervention may not be as grand as he promised. While I can sympathize that new circumstances may force a change in course, the President should have or did know better. He knew that the economy was slowing down when he made his grandiose speeches and promises. Instead, now he has to backtrack and at least appear to be reneging on his own words.

“I want to be realistic here, not everything that we talked about during the campaign are we going to be able to do on the pace we had hoped,” Obama said in an interview on ABC’s “This Week” program broadcast this morning. “Everybody’s going to have to give.”

No offense, but considering how lily-white Obama's morality was portrayed, then he should know better than to promise what he won't deliver. Instead, he wanted to get elected and told the American people what they wanted to hear. John McCain was chastised for saying that the economy was in tough times and certain measures would not work. And now the golden President-to-be has already broken promises, before even becoming President.

Not to mention that his foreign policy may mirror Bush's. Which Barack Obama did you vote for?

Obama: I'll Be Just Like Bush

Now, I don't know what's going on with the President Elect, but it appears that his policy views are a little unstable, to say the least. He railed against President Bush during the 2008 election, and now that George W. Bush is leaving office, now Obama is trying to emulate him.

Huh?

Just see what Obama's been saying lately. Either the guy is really a change agent or he's just Bush's third term. Wait-- I thought that was an insult to John McCain. I'm confused.

For example:

With respect to the Middle East, Obama didn’t even say we’d gotten much wrong in the past. Asked by Stephanopoulos whether his policy would build on Bush’s or would be a clean break, Obama answered, “if you look not just at the Bush administration, but also what happened under the Clinton administration, you are seeing the general outlines of an approach.” So: No break.

So is Obama the guy who everyone believes he is? Is he really the naive little boy inheriting the reins of the most powerful nation (and military) on the planet? His pre-Presidency appears to be marked by dual-sidedness, unable to see which Barack Obama will be President.

Hopefully the one that's like George W. Bush.

As per the Constitution

all a man needs to be is 30 years old, a United States citizen, a citizen of the state and the country for a number of years, to be appointed be a legal Governor and he is a Senator. This is the case of Roland Burris, as Conservatives including myself at first felt - this man should not be allowed into the United States Senate, then it donned on me : according to a Supreme Court ruling & the United States Constitution - Roland Burris is a legal United States Senator.

I suspect corruption.

But I also suspect both Blago & Burris will get an un-welcomed 2010 election cycle.

We need to follow the Constitution, no matter how hard it might be some times.

This is what devines the right from the wrong. Supporting the Constitution even when the appointment smells of dead fish, instead of disgracing in based on ego.

Constitution - seat Roland Burris - that is good enough for me. Until 2010, then I hope the Illinois GOP destroys him.

Dems Likely to Back Burris

One by one the top Democrats fell in line opposing Rod Blagojevich's appointee to the United States Senate. After mocking the Republicans for a 'culture of corruption,' the Democratic Party would take a stand.

Durbin

Then something happened.... Racial undertones were used comparing the Democratic leadership to segregationists.... then they started to back off. Rod Blagojevich may have been impeached, but his choice for Senate will live on, or so it would appear.

And that brings us to now, which Roland Burris poised to become the junior Senator from the state of Illinois.

Surprising? Talk about doubletalk:

"I started off obviously skeptical, as all of the Democratic members did," Durbin, D-Ill., said on "Face the Nation" on CBS. "But as time has gone on and we've looked closely, we want to be fair to Roland Burris. If he has the proper certification and papers, then we're going to take one look at the process and move forward from there."

Corruption rewarded, even before the next Congress opens.

Can Someone Explain This to Me? Part 4

With this question, I will be straightforward and quick. Are we safer under an Obama Presidency?

John McCain is a military man who holds extensive knowledge of foreign issues. He understands nuances and gray areas better than most of Washington and he has promised defend against terrorism. President Bush has always promised to stay on the offensive against terrorists. Now, I have no doubt Obama understands some gray areas and that he doesn't want a terrorist attack on our soil, but he does not understand what John McCain understands. The threats of terror should never dissuade us from voting, or any other right, but it's an unfortunate fact that terrorist groups are planing attacks on the United States because Obama will be President. Not only this, but he plans to ban domestic drilling for oil... I guess pouring money into terrorist hands is a good thing. Now ask yourself, are we safer?
