1992 - Sarah Palin was elected to the Wasilla City Council with 54.9% of the vote.
1995 - Sarah Palin was re-elected to the Wasilla City Council with 68.4% of the vote.
1996 - Sarah Palin was elected as Mayor of Wasilla with 57.6% of the vote.
1999 - Sarah Palin was re-elected as Mayor of Wasilla with 73.5% of the vote.
2002 - Sarah Palin finished second in the GOP Primary for Lt.Governor, with 26.61% of the vote.
2006 - Sarah Palin finished first in the GOP Primary for Governor, with 50.59% of the vote.
2006 - Sarah Palin was elected as Governor of Alaska with 48.33% of the vote.
2008 - Sarah Palin was selected as Senator John McCain's running mate.
2008 - McCain/Palin ticket place second in Presidential election.
2009 - Sarah Palin resigns as Governor, leaving Lt.Governor Parnell in charge.

In just seventeen years, Sarah Palin has brought herself from a Councilman in Wasilla Alaska, to one of the most well known Conservative heavyweights in America. Her political rise is amazing, however, one question which remains, is Sarah Palin going to use her new found political star power as a candidate one day, or is she going to become a commentator?

That question will be answered within the next few years, because political star power will only last for so long, so long before that next great hope arises.
