The 23rd congressional district special election, which will be replacing Congressman John McHugh, once he is confirmed by the United States Senate to serve as Secretary of the Army, was expected to be a quick & simple victory for the Republican party. Well, there was a problem, the Republican party decided to ignore the Conservatives gunning for the nomination, and now have supported a far-left liberal Republican for the seat.
Conservatives party members and Conservative Republicans alike, all shouted disbelief that Scozzafava was selected as the Republican nominee, especially since her Conservative rating is just 5% better then the Democrat leader in the Assembly. Scozzafava is at odds with the Republican party on a lot of issues, and at odds with a majority of all Republican Assemblyman by large percentages according to the Conservative party.
Businessman & a candidate for the GOP nomination, Doug Hoffmnan decided to run for the Conservative nomination, and according to news reports, he will be selected as the candidate for the Conservative party of New York in the 23rd congressional district special election.
Doug Hoffman believes in the full extent of social Conservatism, which Scozzafava supported none of it, Doug Hoffman knows about the small business perspective of the economic spectrum, unlike Scozzafava who only knows the anti-business union perspective, and Hoffman is a Conservative on all issues, not a few, like Scozzafava.
I hope that the GOP will switch their support to Hoffman, the Democrats have no chance of winning this election, they have a bunch of no-names as the front runner candidates, the Conservatives & Republicans must be united, we cannot afford to be divided. This election as the potential to elect the first third party candidate to Congress for the first time in decades, and perhaps send a wake up call to the Republican party.
Doug Hoffman is the only Conservative choice, he is the only choice.
