Minor correction.

There has been a small rumor going around the blogosphere this morning, that President Carter's grandson will be running for a seat in the House of Representatives. There is just one problem with that, he is planning a run for the Georgia State Senate, not the House of Representatives.

According to the Creative Minority Report, President Carters grandson will be seeking the Democratic nomination and election to replace David Adelman if his nomination to be the ambassador to Singapore is approved. There is one problem, the article claims Mr.Adelman is a member of the House of Representatives, when in fact he is a member of the Georgia State Senate.

Isn't that nice. Oh, in a not-at-all related story, Jimmy Carter's grandson is running for Congress in a Georgia district that has a significant (at least for Georgia) Jewish population.

"Hey, I am really sorry for all that anti-Israel stuff I have been doing for years and years. I am also really sorry that I left that Holocaust thing out of my book on Israel and all the other things. Yeah, really sorry about that. Have you met my Grandson Jason, he is running for Congress and he really likes Jews."

The only thing worse than no apology is a convenient apology. Funny, I didn't think I could like Jimmy Carter less, I guess I was wrong.

A grandson of Jimmy Carter is following the former president into politics with a run for the Georgia state Senate.

Democrat Jason Carter says he will run for an Atlanta-area seat that's being vacated by President Barack Obama's nominee to be U.S. ambassador to Singapore.

If David Adelman is confirmed as ambassador in January, a special election could be held in March for his Senate seat representing part of DeKalb County.

Jason Carter is the only person so far to say he'd run for the seat in the heavily Democratic district.

We have all made mistakes, I will be emailing both the Creative Minority Report and DaTechguy's so the mistake is corrected. The points do remain from the original article, President Carter was apologizing to Israel to help his grandsons campaign in a somewhat Jewish district, and the thought of having another member of the Carter family seek elected office, makes me fearful for America.
