Draw Mohammed Day Set for May 20th

Saw this up on HotAir and figured I'd talk about it too. I guess there's a new internets sensation that's going to hit the blogosphere on May 20th.

It's.... Draw Mohammed Day.

This comes after Islamists said that it would 'be unfortunate' if South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were 'accidentally' killed for putting up an image of Mohammed on their show.

And of course Comedy Central, who would put up anything ripping Jesus, Moses, or George Bush, censored not only the image of Mohammed, but also the very utterance of his name (PBUH).

Allahpundit has some analysis:

Cue the predictable media squealing that “you’ll only antagonize them!” Antagonism, actually, is an idea straight out of the Hirsi Ali playbook: Her point to Anderson Cooper in the clip I posted earlier was that only by sharing the risk of retaliation for blasphemy can the public help protect her, Parker, Stone and other insolent infidels. If each threat produces more blasphemers than it silences, then threats suddenly become counterproductive. Or at least, they do to rational minds. (A flaw in the theory?)
