Obama Reaching Out to Hezbollah!?

In a shockingly bad piece of news, the Obama Administration is now considering reaching out to the terrorist group Hezbollah, based out of Iran. The Shi'ite group is responsible for the massacre of 240 Marines in Lebanon in the 1980s and regularly fires missiles at Israel and provoked a 2006 war. But no matter, it appears that the idea of diplomacy must work when dealing with Islamic extremists.

"Hezbollah is a very interesting organization," Brennan told a Washington conference, citing its evolution from "purely a terrorist organization" to a militia to an organization that now has members within the parliament and the cabinet.

"There is certainly the elements of Hezbollah that are truly a concern to us what they're doing. And what we need to do is to find ways to diminish their influence within the organization and to try to build up the more moderate elements," Brennan said.

So they're trying to reach out to the "moderates" in Hezbollah... are there any? And should we instead follow the words of President Bush-- if you harbor terrorists you are a terrorist. Instead, today, it's forgiving jihadists in the interests of-- looking good, maybe?
