Please, tell me I am dreaming.

The United States Congress, has turned down building three new F-22 fighterjets, the best jets ever built for the United States Air Force, which should never be retired. They would cost about 2 billion dollars. Yes, they have approved 600 million dollars for 8 Jets/planes for the United States Congress?

So the United States Congress says no to three Jets for National Security, however they approve over half-a'dozen Jets/planes for the Congresscritters to take more trips on taxpayer expense.

One retired General is pissed off in regards to cutting the three F-22 Jets, just an interesting side note, this General supported Obama, I bet he is regretting that.

"

It’s been more than half a century since any American soldier or Marine has been killed, or even wounded, by hostile aircraft, a period roughly coincident with the existence of the Air Force as a separate service. Even during the Korean War—the Air Force’s first engagement wearing new, blue uniforms—enemy air attack was primitive and rare. The main air battle was fought along the Yalu River, just as in Vietnam it was fought over Hanoi, and in Desert Storm, over Baghdad. Our guys on the ground had hard work to do, but when they looked up, they saw only friendly skies.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why we should wish to change this."

With all the "mobs," this is just necessary security for the elected representatives for the people...can't risk walking the concourses of our major airports, or even the halls of those in flyover country...might make them "face the nation" one citizen at a time.
