Obama Returns Home for Vacation...No, Seriously

As Yahoo News and AP are reporting, the President is indeed going home to relax in "his first real break since his inauguration on Jan. 20." That's right folks, after nearly a whole month in office, the President, whose only accomplishments so far are: 1, lying to the American people, and 2, shoving the stimulus bill through Congress, is taking a break.

A whole month? Not quite, but you know how hard it is to go out every night to a ball, go to parties, and make a speech here and there. It's not like he should be trying to do, you know, real work.

But then again, there is a bright side. If you don't like him and he takes a vacation, he won't be in Washington to screw things over. And another bright side: if you love vacation pictures, I'm sure there will be plenty.

So, little peasants, go back to work, because you don't get a vacation every (almost) month. And clearly Obama needs one because he works so hard. Jeez...

I keep wondering when the press is going to call this partier supreme out! This is all fun and games for him- he let Reed and Pelosi come up with the rip off stimulus bill and Geithner fall flat on his face with his rip-off plan because Obama does not care to actually do any work. He wants to go to photo-shoots, fancy expensive dinners, White House "partys," bill signings where he is actually praised for even picking up a pen and using it, celebrity magazine and TV interviews, elementry school outings, luxury airplane rides vacations to Denver, Camp David outings, and long lingering breakfasts and dinners with his family. Really, when would he find time to actually "work" during "the greatest crisis of our time?" He makes me sick.

This wasn't his first vacation, it was his second. He went to Camp David last weekend...please see cute little update on the Camp David trip published on 02/09/2009:

ELKHART, Ind. — President Barack Obama has given the Camp David mountaintop retreat rave reviews after his first visit there.

Obama called the hideaway in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains “beautiful” as he talked Monday about his weekend visit to the presidential retreat with his wife, Michelle, and daughters Sasha and Malia.

“It was beautiful. The girls just had a great time. They had a lot of fun,” Obama told reporters as he flew from the nation’s capital to Indiana for a town hall-style meeting on the economic stimulus bill pending in the Senate. “You can see during the summer it’s going to be a nice place to spend a lot of time.”

Obama said he hit a few golf balls and played a little basketball while there.

Accompanying the first family were a friend of Sasha’s, and a friend of Michelle Obama’s who brought her two kids.

“So it was nice,” Obama said.

Later Monday, Michelle Obama echoed her husband’s comments during a visit to the Interior Department, where she thanked employees for their work.

“Barack and I and the girls, as you may have read, just had a little retreat away,” she said. “We visited Camp David for the first time, and got to experience the beautiful, the beauty of those grounds, and it was just wonderful to get a bit of a break and to spend some quality time as a family in nature.”
