McNabb to Redskins

Sources confirm that the Eagle star quarterback Donovan McNabb is going to the Redskins. The pro bowler is being sent to Washington for a Second Round Pick. Other teams that were rumored to have been close to getting McNabb were the Raiders and the Vikings. We tried to photoshop him into a Redskins uniform here.

Trading your longtime QB to a Divisional rival? That's just insane on the part of the Eagles.

I'm a long-time Eagles fan. I was hoping they'd get a trade done, but not within the division. I guess that was the best deal available. Redskins fans must be pretty happy. McNabb is a huge upgrade over Campbell.

I would've traded McNabb to the Raiders. Trading McNabb to the Redskins, where the Eagles will have to face him twice next season is idiotic in my opinion.

I guess the Raiders deal wasn't good enough, or maybe McNabb didn't want to go there and forced them to look elsewhere. It also looks like the Eagles might be trying to make a big move in the draft. All of the Eagle blogs are going crazy right now.

I'm definitely not looking forward to seeing McNabb in a Redskins uniform. I was hoping he'd go somewhere far away where I could continue to root for his success. We just gave the Redskins a major weapon.

Andy Reid is holding a press conference at 930. I want to see what he says.

I'm interested as to what the Head Coach has to say about this trade. Not only does this trade guarantee two games against McNabb this year alone, but the Eagles are now thin on Quarterbacks, unless a serious attempt at "snatching" a QB in the draft is successful.

As someone who grew up in DC, the Deadskins need a new owner not a new player.

I'm really excited about my future with the Washington Redskins McNabb said in a statement. I'm eager to work with Coach Shanahan. He's been a very successful coach with a couple of Super Bowl victories on his resume.
