Why Congressman Price does not support Scozzafava?

Conservative bloggers are praising Republican Congressman Tom Price, for not following fellow Republican Congressman Jeb Hensarling in endorsing the liberal Republican candidate for Congress in New York's 23rd special congressional election. While Conservative principles have to play a key role in Price's reluctance to Scozzafava, Congressman Price is the Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, and as reported on this blog several weeks ago, if elected to the United States House of Representatives, along with caucusing with Republicans, Conservative candidate for Congress, Doug Hoffman will become a member in the Republican Study Committee, Scozzafava will not.

Doug Hoffman would join with the Conservative Republican caucus which currently has 114 elected members of the House of Representatives as members, the liberal Republican candidate, "Dede" Scozzafava, would never set foot in a Republican Study Committee meeting. Considering she is the most liberal member of the New York General Assembly amongst Republicans, and it took an endorsement blackmail scheme for her to even sign the anti-tax pledge, something Hoffman did nearly on the first day of the campaign, "Dede" Scozzafava is even more liberal then Meghan McCain on social issues!

The Republican Study Committee is a larger issue then most realize in this election, it explains why Congressman Price will not endorse or submit money to Scozzafava's campaign, because he knows Doug Hoffman is the real Republican in this election, and that is not going to change. Doug Hoffman will join the Republican Study Committee with open arms, Scozzafava will tout her ACORN affiliated "Working Families Party" endorsement, that is why congressional Republicans have not and will not send money to her campaign.
