Hoffman & Owens in a dead heat.

While I still disagree with the polling methods of the Daily Kos/Research 2000, their latest poll using the same methods of a poll released last weekend (42% GOP, 32% Democrats, and 26% Independents), demonstrates how close this election really is in the 23rd congressional district, and how Scozzafava is now the spoiler holding down the real Republican candidate.

Poll released last weekend :
Bill Owens - 35%.
"Dede" Scozzafava - 30%.
Doug Hoffman - 23%.
Undecided - 12%.

Poll released this afternoon :
Bill Owens - 33%.
Doug Hoffman - 32%.
"Dede" scozzafava - 21%.
Undecided - 14%.

Results :
Doug Hoffman - +9%.
Undecided - +2%
Bill Owens - -2%.
"Dede" Scozzafava - -9%.

While I believe the Daily Kos poll methods are incorrect, the polling data confirms Doug Hoffman is the surging candidate in this election, Scozzafava is dragging down Republican hopes, and among those who support Doug Hoffman, 28% would not be voting if Hoffman was not in this race. That speaks volumes.

Doug Hoffman will win this election, once again, I call on Scozzafava to resign for the good of the Republican party and Conservatism.
