Is Congressman Roy Blunt a racist? NO.

Some wonder if racism & liberal politics go hand and hand, I would have to 100% agree with that sentiment, especially with the reaction I have seen after a comment made by Congressman Roy Blunt (R-Missouri), who is leaving his Congressional seat to run for Senator, has been taken out of context, as usual. Liberals and even some *Conservatives are wondering if Blunt's analogy of a bunch of crazy monkeys at an Indian golf course is racism aimed towards Obama.

From the New York Times blog, which actually did not have the claim of racism in it, but a few blogs & reader comments are questioning if Blunt is just another racist white Republican!

Representative Roy Blunt, the former Republican whip who is giving up his House seat in Missouri to run for the Senate, offered his take on life these days in the nation’s capital to those gathered at the conservative Values Voter Summit on Friday.

He told a tale about British soldiers who had built a golf course in India and had to adapt to the game in a whole new way. They didn’t anticipate that they’d be joined on the course by monkeys, who would swoop out of the nearby jungle, grab the golf balls and toss them around, he explained.

The golfers had to establish a firm rule. “You have to play the ball where the monkey throws it. And that is the rule in Washington all the time.”

The crowd laughed and applauded. Mr. Blunt elaborated a little on the changes he’s seen. “You know the world is turned upside down, when Al Franken is in the United States Senate, and Tom DeLay is going on Dancing With The Stars,” he said.

WOW! LOOK AT THE RACISM! Please note "And that is the rule in Washington all the time" - Washington - as in all Democrat leadership, some have twisted his remarks into a racist bash against Obama, which it is just not.

Why can't a Republican say "monkey" to describe the situation in Washington D.C.? That was never a problem before, should we just say "chickens with their heads cut off", why should a former United States Senator be afraid to say "put gorilla glue on the Presidents chair", when gorilla glue is without a doubt, the greatest & toughest glue there is.

Why does there have to be a racial component to everything a Conservative does? There doesn't have to be, but with liberals in America, that is life, so I will continue to ignore them, and laugh them down.
