Michael Savage's son is a left-wing loon?

While Conservative talk show host and American patriot, Michael "Savage" Weiner, is fighting to have his name lifted from a list of banned individuals in England, it appears his son Russell Weiner, who sought election to California's state assembly back in 1998 as a Republican, sent 25,000 dollars to the Newsom campaign for Governor, one of the most liberal individuals in all of California.

Weiner, Savage's son, told Richman regarding the Newsom donation: "We're personal friends, went to the same high school at different times...and he's a businessman, I'm a businessman, so I hope he'll be good for the business community if he's governor."

Considering Newsom has been an anti-business, big government liberal during his tenure as Mayor in San Francisco, I really cannot understand this donation. Also, the only reason we know about this political donation, is because Newsom's campaign returned all 25,000 dollars, because Weiner founded the Paul Revere Society and holds mostly Conservative opinions.

While I am not convinced Savage's son is a left-wing loon, a political donation 25,000 dollars to the campaign of a radical left-wing loon is troubling, and raises many questions. However, this will have no effect on me listening to Michael Savage, because I know he is a right-wing leader in the Conservative talk radio movement.

Sidenote on Russell Weiner's campaign for Assemblyman, he was defeated by Democrat Kerry Mazzoni, however, Savage was able to attract 30% of the vote in a district where 27% of the voters are Republican.

This goes back to the argument about Savage being gay.

Savage is not gay, I can assure you on that. However, his son, who is suppose to be a fellow Conservative like his father, supporting one of the most liberal mayors in California for Governor, is just a tad interesting. Don't ya say?

The mayor who famously made gay marriage legal in his city? *ahem*
