There is no purchase necessary for Free Slurpee Day 2010, but obviously 7-Eleven is hoping that customers might also purchase something else on their trip to the store. Maybe your purchase will be some gasoline at a 7-Eleven that sells it, maybe a treat to go along with the Slurpee, or maybe even a bottle of water or Gatorade to finish re-hydrating from a long day in the sun. The secondary attempt here by 7-Eleven, is to remind customers how good a Slurpee can taste during the summer months, so that hopefully they return a couple more times to purchase one before the season is out.

The flavors can vary a lot, so if you want to find the most appealing concoction, it can't hurt to give them a buzz before the whole family piles into the car.
