Pennsylvania over the last ten years has been a state that Republicans are salivating to take. In 2000, 2004, and 2008 there was a feeling that the GOP could take a hold of the state's electoral votes, only to come up short every time. With a very large rural Republican hinterland and a bevy of Reagan Democrats, the state may flip into the GOP column this fall.
Attorney General Tom Corbett is leading Dan Onorato in the race for the Governor's Mansion.
Corbett (R): 49%
Onorato (D): 39%
Other/Und: 12%
In order to win this race, Onorato has to peel all 12% in order to gain a majority. Naturally, the debates and newspaper endorsements haven't come out yet, so the numbers are still early. However, Corbett's in a good position to win this November.
