According to Rasmussen Reports, Republican Meg Whitman has opened a full eight point lead over former Governor Jerry Brown. According to the same reports, there has been a wide shift in the voters' opinions since the last time the polling was conducted.
Whitman (R): 48%
Brown (D): 40%
Other: 6%
Und: 6%
The undecided/other choices should be a concern to Brown. Even should he pick up all of the undecided voters, he would still lay behind Whitman. The high number of "other" voters also suggests high voter discontent.
