Obama Leads Palin by 18%?

A new poll is out matching President Obama with his potential Republican opponents in 2012. According to the poll there are some wide varieties, with Obama barely leading former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and supposedly beating former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin by 18%.

According to the Clarus poll, Romney trails Obama by only 4%. With the economy still struggling the former businessman might be able to make a case that he can do what Obama can't: create jobs.

Interestingly enough former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is included in the poll, perhaps as a sign of things to come.

Obama 45% (-2) Obama 52% (-1)
Romney 41 (+3) Palin 34 (+0)

Obama 48 (-4) Obama 47 (-1)
Gingrich 36 (+2) Huckabee 39 (+1)

Obama 49 (no trend)
Bush 37

If Palin is the choice R lose big-time in 2012. Same with Romney, Huckabee, Ron Paul and the old names. We need new blood like Paul Ryan or John Thune. I like Palin but as a candidate she would be a disaster of Titanic proportions. As would the others.
