Blanche Lincoln Still Far Behind

Arkansas incumbent Democratic Senator Blanche Lincoln is behind in her quest to gain reelection, even after barely hanging onto her party's nomination for the office. According to a new Rasmussen poll, the most accurate in the business, Lincoln is down big time to her Republican opponent John Boozman:

Boozman (R): 60%
Lincoln (D)*: 35%
Other/und: 5%

* denotes incumbent

Lincoln needs to come up with a strategy fast if she wants to keep her seat. With less than four months to go, though, I don't think there's much she can do.

The vote of this senator is not for sale and neither is the vote of the people of Arkansas," Lincoln said to a thunderous ovation at a victory rally in Little Rock. She was referring to the millions that interest groups spent trying to defeat her.

"I find the elation curious. I, for one, voted for you,Blanche, since I couldn't imagine having a MoveOn.org and SEIU candidate in an AR's Senate seat.

It is critical to note Obama's decline is among all adults, and this decline is among adults, Lincoln's is among likely voters.
