Brown Leads Whitman by Two

The newest results from a Rasmussen poll (the most accurate in the business) has former Governor Jerry Brown leading former eBay CEO Meg Whitman by two points in the news barometer in the California race. It appears that Whitman is still within striking distance but has not been able to yet overcome Brown in the polls.

Brown (D): 43%
Whitman (R): 41%
Other/und: 16%

Notice the other/undecided ranking is high. The fact that neither candidate is reaching near or over 50% shows a general unease among the electorate among both of the candidates. However, it is unclear which party is being blamed for the problems in California, the liberal Republican governor or the Democratic legislature. Whomever the people see as worse is probably going to work in the favor of the other side.

Wonder when that poll was taken. Could turn around with Prop 8 being overturned- with Jerry Brown applauding the fact that an unelected (and gay, according to the San Francsico Chronicle) judge took it upon himself to override the will of the voters in the state....

Could've just gift-wrapped Meg Whitman an issue.
