Vote : Would you support Ron Paul as the GOP Nominee?

Vote in our poll below!

Texas Congressman and long running Isolationist nutjob, Ron Paul was named as the winner of the Conservative Political Action Conference Presidential straw poll last night, as 31% of voters supported Ron Paul for the Republican nomination in the 2012 Presidential election. Some have dismissed the results, due to the fact Ron Paul supporters are known for making themselves appear larger than what is based on fact.

I disagree with that notion, because a lot of Conservatives are ignoring National Defense in pursuit of fiscal conservatism and smaller government, something that could backlash come November of 2012, pending on who we select as our eventual Republican nominee.

Thus, I am asking all readers to answer the poll included in this post. It could speak volumes to the importance of National Defense or the creeping evil of Isolationism.

Where's the "No. No. Hell No! No!" part of the poll?

I thought "No" was good enough, then again if Paulists hijack this poll, I will create a new poll...heehee

Paul is foolish on defense to the extreme, and not a serious candidate at all- his supporters are little more than a flash mob.

Nobody will consider a clown like this once Obama's international strategic errors mount- they'll be too scared

Maybe something more like Palin-Patraeus would work...

I lived in Ron Paul's district. It is reliably Republican, but that was not enough for him. He dabbled with the "Texas should leave the Union" segment of the local libertarian party, some of whom have unpleasant racist views.

He never voted for an earmark for his district. He always tacked the earmarks onto bills that would pass by large enough margin, trading his vote against that issue for a vote for or against another issue that didn't have one of his earmarks.

Paul's foreign policy is too kooky and pre-Pearl Harbor

So if you don't get the results you want you declare the poll "hijacked" and make another. That's pretty sad.

I agree with the "Hell Nos.." We are just replacing one nutjob with a worse one....I'm just surprised the men in the little white coats have not come to take him away.

Wow, Ron Paul a "nut job". I guess if you agree with Thomas Jefferson and George Washington on foreign policy you must be nuts! When anyone resorts to ad hominem arguments instead of logic I conclude they're out of ammunition.
