Avitabile-Gruning Ticket Defeats Hayes

The Avitabile-Gruning ticket of the Middleburgh First Party defeated Paul Hayes today in the Middleburgh Village Board election. The two Middleburgh First candidates received 88% of the vote while Hayes' party, New Beginning, received 12%. Turnout was very heavy, perhaps the heaviest in ten years.
