Brown is winning in Massachusetts poll!

Chime in on our election day Open Thread!

The candidates for US Senate are Republican Scott Brown and Democrat Martha Coakley. If the election was today, who would you vote for?

48% of Massachusetts voters - Scott Brown.

47% of Massachusetts voters - Martha Coakley.

6% of Massachusetts voters - Undecided as of now.

These results were released this evening from Public Policy Polling, a well known progressive firm, which has reported Conservative leaning results over the past twelve months, including the well touted poll results, that 44% of Americans would prefer President Bush as the current Commander-In-Chief.

During the 2008 Presidential election, Barack Obama received 62% of the vote compared to 36% of vote for John McCain, 54% of the voters in this poll supported Barack Obama against 38% of the voters in this poll who supported John McCain, leaving some room for inaccurate results, however, political affiliation for both Republicans and Democrats is over estimated, so this is to be expected.

Overall, the results of this political poll are amazing, as Scott Brown is now leading in a major political poll, even better, the polling firm is a well known progressive outpost. Some have commented "winning the online battle is one thing", however, "winning political polls is a sure thing", would be the response of intelligent individuals.

We can win this election, as Democratic voters do not care about this race, and our political brothers and sisters in Massachusetts are prepared to vote for Scott Brown, we must continue our advocacy of his campaign, as just ten days remain to one of the largest political elections in the upcoming decade.

Also, 44% of Massachusetts voters approve of Barack Obama, while 43% of Massachusetts voters disapprove of Barack Obama? Interesting.

I am afraid to get my hopes up too high on this one. I am quietly praying that Brown pulls this out though. Our hopes of arresting health care in its tracks may well rest on the outcome of this race. I want to believe it is possible but then I remember we are talking about Massachusetts and my hopes begin to fade. I will definitely keep my fingers crossed.
